Yaaaaaay! I love that last one with Gale! I saw on a Wiki that it was potential banter when you romance Astarion, but I never had it trigger for me so I've never heard how it sounds until now. Reading that line on the wiki, however, is what led to my headcanon for my Gale romance run. Gale and my Deep Gnome Tav invite Astarion to join them in Waterdeep, where he eventually becomes a romantic partner to the both of them.
How is he kind exactly? He never apologizes for all the crazy stuff he has been telling him or for bullying him. He barely admits that Astarion may perhaps have actual feelings to his partner publicly which is condescending and humiliating af. Also I find it said how Astation immediately assumes wyll is going to try to hurt him again.

@@s1b3r11 there are also lines where astarion finds wyll very attractive and wyll finds astarion charming that are also in the game, but that’s besides the point. there are a lot of lines in the game. including astarion being racist to a race that’s not done anything to him (gnomes), to karlach, to minthara, to yenna even and i’ve seen people jump through hoops trying to turn that into a ‘positive’ meaning. astarion can also taunt wyll including HIS abuser (mizora). the point of my comment was that you are very mean to wyll because u see astarion as someone who needs your protection, someone so innocent and helpless that when u see someone being a tad mean to him it clouds your judgement. btw i love astarion a lot and his storyline is very relatable to me as it is to many people, but this phenomenon of coddling him is very strange to me.

I forget what Astarion said in response, but Wyll then says something like “your heart is as cold as ice, and I’m just trying to make sure our friend here doesn’t slip” I very nearly traded him out for Gale for a bit after that. It’s not like we need two warlocks 😡

@@vampirewolf373 I did have high approval with him, and I actually kind of regret that I went with Shadowheart as the other first romance scene (since I’d never seen hers) because it honestly would have kind of funny that way. Bro sounded so jealous. They also had just both had a few dual approval situations so it felt like it came out of nowhere since they’d been agreeing on things so much. Way more than I thought they would. To be fair, they mostly had to do with killing or being mean to goblins. It’s nice though, to see how much Wyll grows with Astarion because he’s actually really nice and supportive of him in Act 3, where I usually bring Wyll along for his quest stuff.
the one with wyll is heartwarming. In act 1 if you sleep with astarion during the party, wyll basically says that astarion is no good for tav if they are both in the party. So seeing him proud of astarion here is so wholesome
It’s pretty telling that the only companion Astarion seems genuinely dislike is Minthara. He has the clarity to see all his own worst traits in her and wants to steer clear.
I'm not so sure about that. if you watch another video called "Act 1 and 2: All Romance Party Banters /w Astarion patch 7" from this same channel you can see he gets all flirty when Minthara calls him beautiful... he spoke pretty rudely to Halsin too, so I don't think he particularly hates anyone.
