    Ya there are a lot of videos on this here you tube claiming to show 'elite skills' and instead showing everyone just how little the operator knows about said 'skills'.
    In a world where owning a skidsteer makes you an 'operator', this video was a welcome change of pace. This guy definitely knows what he's doing and when it comes to moving dirt, few are at this caliber. Keep 'er stiff dude.

    Good operator. Respreading the land fill after ever stump is cleared, as well as back dragging the dirt to make sure you can get right under the stump all while simultaneously using foot controls. It’s the small things combined over hundreds of hours put into practice that really separates a novice and expert. Nice job

    Those lil bobcats have come along ways from the '70s when I first bought one . Had the foot controls for the bucket and 2 clutches for foward and reverse steering . After twelve hours you couldn't even walk , and my knees looked like footballs lol . Great skills buddy a good smooth operator like yourself is rare !

    the best way to move or lift something is with a lever ! I always have the tree cut with about 8 ft left . this way I put cable and haul out of the hole especially with that type of sandy soil. I have had bobcats for over 35 years and never beat the hell outta it like this !

      Turns out the T300 is a 2005 but only 855 hrs. A year ago one drive motor was replaced and the other one rebuilt. I can't imagine what caused this failure. Diesel fuel put in the hydro unit? Asking $30 K. Has heate/ AC. Di you think they're asking too much? Had brand new tracks on it also and full serviced. Guy traded it in for a T650. Which why would he get rid of the 300 with so low hours. Opinion ?

    • @DirtNinja
      @DirtNinja  10 лет назад

      Paul Smith They just go after a while. Odd at that low of hours though. Price seams decent. Its hard to find those machines with less than 1000 hrs

    • @bartjemaes
      @bartjemaes 9 лет назад

      Paul Smith the hour meter can change when you change the machine controller, the only thing you can do is to have trust in the service centre that has set the new hours in the controller...

    • @FrontlineDefenseUSA
      @FrontlineDefenseUSA 9 лет назад +1

      Through a 3rd party person found out the machine was a pos. big time. Why I don't buy used equipment. So I got a new T650 with zero hours on it. I'm the only operator. I do the maintenance and that's the best option for me. I can not have down time

  • @derekbass88
    @derekbass88 6 лет назад +1

    Only things I would change is I would definitely be using a tooth bucket instead of a straight edge. I would also not be filling in the holes with all the dirt that has roots and parts of the stump in it. This soil looks sandy. Where I’m at we have that old red clay and getting stumps out of that is really hard.

    • @ngzcaz
      @ngzcaz 5 лет назад

      Filling in the holes simply makes it flat terrain so he can maneuver the machine better instead of going up and down the uneven ground..

    • @daddio7249
      @daddio7249 5 лет назад

      Not Dirt ninja but I learned on hand-foot controls. I am coordinated and find them easy. I used a joystick control one and as a backhoe operator the boom and bucket control was great but with a skid steer you do not do a lot with the bucket. I found it hard to drive, it was too jumpy, specially trying to turn and you can't turn in place. With had controls you can push one forward and one backwards and just spin around. Joystick controls are easier on you arms and rotator cuffs.

    Hey @Dirt Ninja You might know this. What would you estimate the tow rating of a T300? Not of a truck to pull it, of the actual Bobcat itself. I'm brainstorming solo small scale mining ideas and one idea I had was running a Bobcat to load a gravel pup, then towing the pup of gravel with the Bobcat a short distance along the mine to the plant. Saves switching machines all the time, not to mention capital costs. How much do you think she could reliably tow--or more appropriately--push? Thanks!

    I agree with tomeD...he is abusing this skidder as well as using this thing for what it was not designed for.we have a 30 that some dummy ruined using it in this manner.

    Only problem with this Video is that it is obvious someone spent considerable time with a shovel and axe prior to removing the stumps with the skidsteer. I want to see how its done with just the skid steer. Would be a much longer video for sure.
