This is the best part of Knorpp and South. Watching Megan put together a wonderful living space for the family and watching the kids and their excitement of claiming a new room. that move would have taken me and my two young men at least a month ... the Knorpps are moving rockstars and ALL of the boys are beyond amazing including Elijah, Daniel and Andrew with Mike, Peter, Asher and now Jude growing into a young man.... simply incredible humans and moving machines ❤

Anyone else notices that every time she finishes her diy book shelves, that’s when they have to move out again… i think the key to staying long in a place is to not make your diy bookshelves 😂. Although I may say those are my fave content of yours. Good luck on your new house.
Congratulations, the house is beautiful! I am so excited for everyone. The guys did such a great job loading and unloading the van. That wasn't an easy task. It's great that you can put the kitties' things and all of your hobbies and projects in the unfinished basement! Perfect for those uses so you can spread the kids out in the bedrooms!
If you have a big basement why would you use one of the bedrooms for storage?
@@annateague2354 They might not be allowed to. A YTer from MN does rental houses (and up there, they all have basements) and they keep them unfinished until a tenant or 2 of rental years, take the money and finish it (then when finished out, they charge all that additional rent money for that extra living room and/or bedrooms). Until then, the tenants can't live in that space. They might have laundry down in the basement so can use that but can't do much else. Could be a code thing too about unfinished basements.

@annateague2354 Not sure if it is a law but usually unfinished areas are not usually livable but that varies by state.
Basements are a little moldy and dusty. I am thinking to keep things cleaner and more in a controlled temperature environment. Helps things stay nicer longer. My guess :)
You have no idea how much I have waited for this video! 😍
Even thought the basement isnt finished it is big enough to curtain off a couple of areas so that the older boys could have a basement bedroom with enough room for a kid's hangout space.
They might not be able to use an unfinished basement (not part of the rent and can't be used unfinished due to codes, etc). Another channel I watch, they do rental homes, leave the basement unfinished for a couple of turns then take that rental money, finish the basement then increase the overall rent for the next tenants.
Megan will have that basement full of extra stuff in no time. 😂
I believe they are renting the whole house so they should be able to use the basement as they see fit. As long as there are fire escape doors or windows, they can use it for sleeping space .
No sleeping in unfinished rooms, very unhealthy damp place that basement. Dusty walks. Totally unfit for anything else than mom's paintingjobs and mikes diy, pingpongtable... ;-)
@@jahnkecyalso, if it was the landlord's basement to turn into a rental, then he wouldn't let the Knorpps go down into the basement area at all. Wonder if the Knorpps just want to rent to see if they like the area first before buying.

You KEPT the BENCH!!!! Awesome. That bench is an American CLASSIC! Mike, you worked like a dog and somehow you looked the youngest in years! And those BOYS!!!! "BOY" they stepped up to the plate. Kudos to them! And of course, the ladies worked hard too of course and I suspect will be putting most of the stuff AWAY! LOL. Great house! Enjoy it all in good health!

@@angelakirchner4811 That is why we bought a TON of storage containers (we had a storage unit have a leak when we lived out of state and came back to cardboard boxes in a corner ruined and moldy...luckily the owners paid us for the damage bc it was their unit's fault). All our long-term storage (and some of our basic needs stuff) is in those containers. We know we have one move coming up and in the aviation industry, it probably won't be our last.

Can't wait to see how you arrange all your pretty things! Y'all realize that in a few years your teenage boys/hard workers/heavy lifters will be grown and gone. It won't be as easy to pack up and move! I know you will all enjoy the spacious house.
That is why we became a minimalist. Grown daughter is busy and can't always help us move and son will be out of the house soon enough. When you move, you quickly realize how much stuff you no longer want to haul your own darn self the older you get (when you know another move will be coming up). From what we had when the kids were young until now, we dumped probably about 75% of our stuff. It is not worth moving that many times. All our books are now on Kindle. That was A LOT of boxes, etc. Mike's life is going to keep them moving. That is the aviation industry for you. Company layoffs, scheduling, etc will cause you to move. We have been in the commercial aviation industry for 30 years. Be prepared to move is all I can say. We have moved 4 times because of this darn industry (my husband 5 times total).

Moving is work but I love a new place, always hated the move out but loved the move in. I moved 21 times in my life. So, I feel ya. It either snowed or rained every move in. Accept our last place.

For the unfinished basement you can hang blankets from the studs with thumbtacks to separate off the rooms and just put area rugs down
