My two cents. Each to his/her own, different strokes for different folks. This video just randomly got pushed to my YT feed so I watched it and hence my feedback. Im from Iloilo, Panay but Im currently living in the US and have been for almost half a century, and now happily and peacefully retired. During my working life with my husband as professionals we lived in a 7k square footage home because we wanted to raise our two boys in a lifestyle that allowed them to be safe, comfortable, and inspired to strive for the same future life we started with. At 70sh, what I found out is that mansions and big homes are truly appropriate and enjoyable when you are younger and working, raising kids, and also enjoying social entertainment with friends and colleagues regularly. But once we became empty nesters and reached seasoned citizenship, we realized that our practical needs had changed/reversed in a way of saying. So we got rid of our big homes and went for a one-story two bedroom living in the rural part of our state. It was a deliberate downsizing to reduce our footprints to the most minimal level, the best decision we made. NO STAIRS PLEASE! LOL! The kitchen is fifteen steps away and the bathroom is around the nearest corner and we are so happy with our architectural choice. When you are older that's just reality one must acknowledge. This guy appears to be older than me, maybe close to the other end of the 70sh, he also looks healthy and quite purpose-driven with his life in the Phil. But a healthy senior still going and going is not the same as a healthy working adult before 60. Just saying like it is , broadly speaking. The moments of letting one's aging body slow down are more the norm than indulging in frenetic and more stress-triggering lives. And constructing and maintaining a mansion, especially in the PI is one classic example. But great luck to him hopefully he has another 20 healthy years to enjoy the fruits of his arduous labor over there.

OMG.... This is the most magnificent home that I have ever seen in the Phils. Every detail is impeccable and props to all involved in creating this monumental home.

That’s why he will never sell it at that price. He will have to take a substantial discount in order to sell it. My former boss’s wife will inherit a house with a 2400 sqr meter lot in North Forbes Park. Even she will have a very difficult time selling that house and lot.

i see they will sell this house, that hurts. i have thought of buying before (i am a filipino) but due to the system and family issue, better to live simple and travel to avoid conflict.
Very true, it will be crazy to sell that it’s fabulous but location may not be too friendly for international or local buyers. He could probably just turn it into a hotel resort. Our house is probably quarter amount of that house and not even in the beach side, it’s a bit shaky to sell already being surrounded by smaller houses.Goodluck to the owner selling it.

Beautiful but not my cup of tea. One member of my family they built a house with stunning river views costed them 10m plus dollars here in USA it’s over 11 thousand square feet home I kid you not. But since it’s built here in the USA they can sell anytime with no problem finding a buyer. if you watch high end real properties videos/blogs in youtube specially located in the philippines.. you will be surprise that many properties are selling more than millions in amount.. so basically there is a right market to this property if they will sell it..

i agree. we prefer to travel and explore than building a house like this. we only live once, enjoy than stress. maintenance will be the problem in long run and the people around and family

Exactly. Is not easy to build a house. Grand and well built. I love this house.
A very large house, beautifully made the downside is it's very hard to maintain and clean..❤
If they can afford to spend 220 million pesos to buy a beachfront lot & build a house, they can afford to pay people to clean it
It's great they set their heart to invest such huge amount of money for a house in Dauin further afield from Duma. Very beautiful house.

The problem with building a really expensive home in the Philippines is that you have very few buyers when you want to sell.
That's true.
Its been for sale for many years already
@@ozmikeinphils I've heard this house was completed in 2011. I don't think it's been "many years" since they put it up for sale.
That’s why he will never sell it at that price. He will have to take a substantial discount in order to sell it. My former boss’s wife will inherit a house with a 2400 sqr meter lot in North Forbes Park. Even she will have a very difficult time selling that house and lot.

You are giving too much credit to "educated" Filpinos. I've gotten into hours-long discussions about Filipinos and their education. To put it simply, it doesn't matter how much education you put on a Filipino, what top universities of this world they attend, or how great nurses they seem to be; when it comes to understanding the world, they will always fail at it, badly.
@@ChochiT0-ddd7fd tell me how do filipinos fail to "understand the world"? Can you elaborate as to how so?
I'm genuinely curious on how you've come to that realization in generalizing an entire ethnicity of people as ignoramuses in wordly matters.
You want a house like this? Be as smart as this guy. Just listen to him regurgitate - fact after fact - and you'll realize that this guy is educated - as educated can be. His whole life has been absorbed in learning facts and remembering them.
My wife is Cebuano. We built a very solid, poured concrete house in Lapu Lapu. No damage after the wicked 2013 earthquake, and easily rode our several typhoons. Any province in the Philippines will attract riff-raffs when your flaunting your wealth. Massive house like that will sit in the market for a long time to sell.

that was my first thought the market to sell this is has gotta be extremely limited

To have house like that is ok if u are still young, but in his age it is too much, also it is hard to sell later😔😔 goodluck Sir,🙏🙏 also the tax for that is huge to be inherited by loveones. Not practical at all
It's too much even if you're young.
I won't invest heavily in building such a large house, even though I'm young. Future maintenance costs could be high, especially considering their age, which might make it challenging for them to manage. Just a thought. However, I'm not sure if the couple has other future plans; they might decide to sell it. Who knows!
I think they are also in the build and sell business
They have considered everything. He said he is a shareholder to 4 companies. I think from the income alone is more than enough to cover for the maintenance. He also said 900USD for all the staff to ensure the house is well maintained👍
Wealth and knowledge are fabulous assets! We have no idea what he will get from a buyer and what it cost him to build. Finding a buyer might be hard but you never know how and to what people it is being marketed! I bet plenty of wealthy Russians would easily handle this! lol!
