I was aerodynamically limited to 130 mph when I ran out of horsepower to go faster. Assuming peak power at 10,400 rpm and a 36 inch circumference tire, you'll want a plus one ratio. By that I mean the axle sprocket has 1 more tooth than the engine sprocket. Whether it's a 25:26, or a 27:28, it's mathematically almost the same. Daytona is at sea level and can be cold, have big jets, both main and pilot available, sometimes even a bigger tube. And the time at WOT is longer than a dyno run and repeated faster than any sane dyno testing. It's hard on the engine.
Karting in the wet is challenging at the best of times, SuperKarting in the wet is like playing footsies with pin-less grenade. Respect.
Awesome Chuck . What Range of gears should I be contemplating taking to Daytona ? Honda CR 250. Pre-historic kart .

@@chucksterock Thanks Chuck
what is the CHT guage for ?
Cylinder Head Temperature. I compare CHT and EGT to determine if I need to rock the timing one way or the other.
@@chucksterock thanx , that now makes sense :)
