It seems that this is the best viola version to listen to now that the other version of her playing this is gone from Spotify. This version is still amazing, but I much prefer the slower tempo and greater expressiveness in the version I used to listen to.

Il me semble avoir déjà entendu Tabea Zimmermann en meilleure forme mais ce sont sans doute les aléas du concert. Belle interprétation tout de même avec un subtil accompagnement de la pianiste. J'ai été gêné de temps à autre par quelques imprécisions rythmiques. J'aime beaucoup cette sonate à l'alto, qui n'a rien à envier aux versions avec violoncelle. Ph. H.
I do not get her bow arm-- the way it's so high. It looks really unnatural and awkward to me. That said, she's a great player and it's hard to argue with her results.
Viola is a unique instrument that can spread a beautiful and warm sound, which is not possible for a violin.

I think shes changed that in more recent recordings
