just to let you know, the london flight and paris flight do not go to hard stands, the london flight moves to the opposite side of the terminal at around 3:10 PM and the the air france pulls in at around 4pm, leaving space for the now, lufthansa A330
Thanks for letting me know! However, my understanding is there are on two widebody gates in C23/C24 and C25. I could be wrong but as far as I know only 2x widebody can be parked at the terminal at one time. I do regularly see photos of the AA 777 & AF 787 on the hard stand infront of the viewing platform so wondering what is going on there.
RDU is my home airport, and I've always thought about making it in 400 scale! My one biggest question is: Where did you get or how did you make the terminal? I'be tried to get the dimensions of terminal 2, but I can only get rough dimesnions from google Earth.
Ok. Now I understand why you chose to model RDU. So you grew up in the Raleigh area. Ok that explains it. Well I’m sure I might or might have not mentioned that I grew up in the Southern Massachusetts area. In Dartmouth and Fall River. Those towns are very close to the Rhode Island border. So when taking flights living there I flew out of Providence. Boston was too far at the time and had too much traffic as it does today. I was going to think about modeling Providence, but it looks more complicated than Jacksonville. While RDU is a focus city for Delta unfortunately there are no Delta flights to Jacksonville.
Yeah there are things that affect us all that really do shape our lives and choices we make. For me I models airports that have significance to me personally. That is cool. You could maybe do a PVD model airport. Pretty much all the models needed now are available.
looking very good man!
Thanks so much! I’m happy with the results so far.
Looks great! Re: that Air France 787, it is a MUST GET. Just got my AV400 and it is stunning. Great job on the airport--love the details!
Well the model does not disappoint and will appear in the next RDU model airport video!
Looks absolutely stunning, my friend!
Thank you very much!

@@CitrusAviation your welcome, and thanks for building RDU (it’s a great airport and not many people have built it) :)
Wow This looks great! I'm excited to see the finished product! I'm actually also building a RDU airport just not as accurate.
I’m super excited for the finished product as well! I’m sure your model will be nice too though.
Wow looks awesome Citrus 😎👍
Thank you! Cheers!

If you don’t mind me asking what materials did you use to build the terminal or was it 3D printed, looks fantastic! 🔥
Thanks so much! It is 3D printed.
Wow that looks cool! Were did you get the terminal form?

I ordered it from Tarmac Designs.
@@CitrusAviation Ho cool I have been wanting to get stuff from them. Was the terminal custom?
@@JosephChamblee Yes it is, He designs it based on your qualifications you want for it.
@@CitrusAviation ok
Where do you get most of your aeroplanes from
Different online retailers across the world. I know that isn’t the answer you are looking for but is the truth.
