You've heard a lot of mine already lol. I dunno if I ever told you about how I felt when human after all came out. I was very disappointed initially.. I loved homework and was obsessed with discovery so I remember being stoked, popping it in and ultimate being overwhelmed. About 2 years ago I gave it a listen, and it's a almost subliminally dark album and I don't think I was in the proper mind set when it was released. As a sad ass adult I feel I get it more, and I appreciate so much of its artistic merits. It and homework for awhile were my least favorites. Going back to them as an adult has somewhat changed my attitude about it. I when I listen to daft punk now 9 times out of ten it's homework which has been a suprise lol. Human after all is still my least favorite but I went to nearly hating it to almost liking it as much as ram
For a brief time in 2017 during tax season I worked for a place called liberty tax and it happed that I had the best job there... Dancing/sign spinning statue of liberty. During these hours only one thing would fill my ears and drive my lunatic and incessant movement. Daft Punk album after album. Day in and day out. They are the reason I embrace the transhumanism that seems to be inevitable. So instead of fighting it I am hoping that before it's over I can be one of the most modulated of our kind and metamorphose into a synthesyborg to bring a new sound to the world. And I'll say to myself wait a second I the synthesizer.. why don't use the synthesizer.
@@madzpanda dude, I can totally relate!!! I was super pumped when Human After All came out and although I didn't really like it, I almost tied to force myself to like it! Today, I'd say it's one of my least favourite Daft Punk albums...same goes for RAM, btw...it's a great album and stuff but it doesn't really vibe with me...if that makes sense🤔
@@HumanAnalogSynthesizerLifeform dude, sounds like the best job ever!!! Amazing story! Thanks for sharing it with us! You are The master of mayhem The father of fire The sickest of the sick The dopest of the dope Fucking love this bruz. This is why you're one of my favorites
Dude...this is disgustingly good. Never mind the dope sounds and song, this is like a real film! First time I became aware of Daft Punk was during the weekly MTV's AMP tradition where I saw the "Around the World" video. I knew back then that illegal computer sound...wait that's another artist :D Take care!
Thank you so much, mate! Glad you like it! And yeah, the "Around The World" video is still one of my favourite music videos of all time (along with Fatboy Slim's "Praise You" and the Prodigy's "Smack my B*tch Up")! Back in the days when DVDs were a thing, I had this Daft Punk DVD...what was the title again...oh yeah, "A story about dogs, androids, firemen and tomatoes" and I would watch that video over and over again...also loved the fact that they included this really cool making-of-behind-the-scenes type documentary!
Very high quality video!👌 I´m impressed. Nice to listen and very nice to see 👀. Wow, thank you! 👏👏👏 Nice description too, deserves all attention. All is nice! 😁👍👍👍
Dooooope! Homework was a huge album for me also. Oddly enough, I'm in the US and back then I listened to pretty much all UK/French & German techno. Your vocals on this project are amazing too! Definitely inspired. Really solid content on your channel!
@@CNTRRNDM I still have a metric f***ton of vinyl too - mostly indies, white labels. Early Prodigy, Die Krupps, Frontline Assembly, 808 State, 2 Bad Mice, Krome & Time, D'Cruz, anything on Rat Records, sm:)e records, a lot of Moonshine Music stuff, Age of Love, Interactive, Klangwerk, and really great goth/industrial stuff on Cleopatra Recs and Wax Trax (My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult) Some are test presses, some have only a logo or country of origin. So glad people are commenting on the production quality and you're getting the recognition for it you deserve mate. I know how much work goes into these amazing kits/videos/songs! Also how good is this Daft Punk kit!? You nailed it 🔥🔥🔥🧑🚒🤮🎒🧙♂️
Woooaaah dude 🤯 Incredible music video you made it. I saw that quarantine place, was cool how much time people had to be creative during that! I was an "essential" worker over here... heavy sarcasm on essential so I had to work thru it 😔 Anyways got immediately off topic, how self centered aha but back to this one, it was amazing all around! The video, the song, and those vocals had me smiling then smiling even harder when I went and read the lyrics, great stuff all around bro 🔥🔥🔥
Homework might be the death of me one day. Every time I listen to it , exclusively in it's entirety of course, it gets me so excited my heart feels like it will surely explode. In my opinion this would be one of a few truly acceptable ways to finish this ride.
I totally get what you're saying! Homework gets me hyped every single time! And the amazing thing is...this album is bloody timeless, isn't it?! I mean it's 25 years old and it still sounds like it could be released today, if that makes sense! The production quality is really amazing!
Thanks, mate! Ableton's vocoder is really good...had a VC-10, like, back in the days but when I realised how powerful Ableton's vocoder is I was like "nah, I'll switch to that one"...sold the VC-10 eventually because it wasn't more than, like, a very expensive dust catcher, really😂
You've done some awesome stuff in the past, but I think this one tops them all. If I didn't know this was all done on PO-33, I would've never have guessed it. Great job!
Hahaha, great ! A Daft Punk kit, at least !!! 🤪 Great job, keep it like that ! One question though : how did you manage to record a 1+ minute long voice sample into the KO ?
Thanks, mate! Glad you like it! That's actually a good question! It's really just an old trick I learned on the MPC (back in the days)...so, you simply speed up the sample (double the tempo...if you're using Ableton for example, go for the "Pitch" warping algorithm, it has to sound like the Chipmunks😁) to decrease recording time...this way, a 60 sec sample only takes up 30 sec of your sampling time.
@@CNTRRNDM yeah, i have no doubt about that... Now i feel like i should start over my track from the scratch using this tip lol 😩 I'm using the "Technologic" vocal part from Daft Punk and it's quite long... Anyway, thanks again ! Peace ✌
@@TheLordTimi oh yeah, Technologic and I have kind of a special relationship😁 when it came out, Daft Punk made this remix contest...and instead of focusing on uni stuff, I decided to give it a go...well, I failed basically all my exams which meant I had to retake most of my courses...but hey, I won and got this weird little Aibo robot toy 🤘🤖🤘
