For a person like me with autism and a history of depression this song hits completely different. "Give me a remedy because my head wasn't wired for this world", that line hit me particularly hard and made me break into tears the first time around. Anyone that has things like ADHD, ADD, ASD or whatever else will probably be hit hard by that line.
Same, I remember when I first heard it back in middle school and immediately connected with it, now that I know the song is about oil’s struggles with ADHD I connect with it even more.
I just love BMTH, there is something very honest in this band. They are not afraid to experiment with their music and the high energy levels and strong emotions are always there 🔥

You really should react to the whole Royal Albert Hall concert. The live orchestra just adds something to the music like nothing else
One of my favourites, really love this whole album, every single song.
There are 5 members in BMTH: lead vocalist Oli(ver) Sykes, guitarist Lee Malia, bassist Matt Kean, drummer Matt Nicholls, all founding members back when band formed in 2004 (ages 15-17), keyboardist Jordan Fish was recruited by Oli from the electronica band Worship to help with different sounds, and is Oli's help with getting his lyrics to song, they write music together, Oli comes up with lyrics and Jordan helps with sounds, beats, instrumentals, technicals, they produce most of their music themselves nowadays, they said easier keeping their vision untouched, unchanged as happens when hiring producers can.
You said you like watching artists writing, recording, etc... Well you really should check out all the Behind the scenes that BMTH has from their recording and life before and during the Lockdown, it's honestly really the best shit, entertaining and really gives you a feel for just how talented, dedicated and real this band is. I'm a fangirl, yes, but watching them, just great human beings that obviously LOVE MAKING MUSIC, not for money or fame. Doing it for themselves, for us, for the love of evolving their artistic gift of music and sharing that awe, joy, and wonder that only a great song can give.

Sean they released a new track like 3 weeks ago called strangers, they have a song with the rapper mask wolf aswell. Btw olis voice is not raspy here or in the most of this album was due to him damaging his vocals cords when making the album “sempiternal” where he was screaming with the rasp which lead him damaging them
Funny thing about BMTH is that I got to know it cause my friend likes it but we like completely different songs from them 😂 She likes the older songs where they scream a lot and I like this newer music 'cause I'm not a big fan of screaming. That's the reason why we basically have nothing in common in our music taste except for a couple of bands, but this just shows how versatile this band is 'cause we both are able to find songs that we like from them 😊
