Thank you for this reaction, John! The two youngest members of BTS are definitely not babies anymore. That's a virtuoso performance from Jungkook and as a vocalist yourself, you're in a better position to be impressed by every note in it. What a funny, delightful video, I always have a belly laugh at the coffin scene. Of course all the members are accomplished actors, having been schooled in the art through all those episodes of Run BTS. And you are so right, this is another level to Taehyung; his voice is smoother, richer (if possible) and he plays with those notes effortlessly. The song is such a perfect fit for his sultry good looks and he is the member who has been excellent at putting the smoulder on from their early days. Suga said in Suchwita ep 12 that none of the vocalists sang or performed before joining BTS. Except maybe for Jungkook who joined a competition and was noticed by talent scouts there. Jimin was a star dance student, V was learning the sax and Jin was recruited for his good looks. Nearly everything about these four as vocalists were discovered/developed during their training and further honed through 10 years of hard graft. Who coulda known? No wonder Suga called their getting together fate.
Yeah the explicit version of Seven makes way more sense with Latto's verse. And Roscoe also noticed and commented on the EMTs hair. 😂 And Golden V - I just saw a picture of his whole outfit and he is golden from head to toe! Suga also said he thought that Tae really found his best range which was different from he was doing with the group . When they all get back together it is going to be really different and I can't wait.
Is there a regular clean original version??🤣🤣🤣🤣 The explicit version lives in my head rent free, especially when it's on the radio!! Even though SEVEN has only had 209M on the official MV just in dance practices, teasers, making of etc in the first 15 videos I found totaled almost 350M views. So can you imagine what those numbers will look like when he starts to tease for his mini album!! V was right in that when 2025 gets here it will be interesting to see what colors they bring. Can't wait!!!
YEESSS!!!! Explicit versus clean for "Seven". They played it at my local roller rink last week...my youngest (just turned 19) and I were pretty much "scream-singing" the song....and forgot to censor ourselves. Thankfully there were no kids around us. We were moving too fast for the lone b-day party - full of 7 year old beginners - to keep up with us. LOL
the bangtan boys certainly showed their various colors in their solo efforts. jin is great in the rock genre. j-hope, suga, and rm create music that cuts a wide swath in the hiphop/rap genre. jimin and jungkook shine in the pop/dance genre. while v really grooves in the more jazzy/r&b genre. and they've shown they can individually out-chart other kpop groups even on their own, selling millions of records at that! is there any other kpop group where each member is practically a superstar?
i really love your bts reaction series - it feels like i'm watching with a good army friend; i always love your insight and your positivity, and there's something different about watching with true army who knows their entire story ... tysm !!!

Tae has always had the capability and he has worked hard on honing his vocal skills. The main problem is that he constantly has to sing in his higher range while the others are in their normal ranges. The others therefore have never needed to do further work on honing their skills for their lower registers. Tae as a result barely gets lines in the group songs. Big hit in house production team is geared towards the tenors and even with the company growth they haven’t brought in any one that can deliver to Tae’s vocal tone. It was the best thing he ever did in looking outside the company for a producer to showcase his vocals. His EP is in his comfortable middle range and I love that he can finally put out an EP just singing in the middle of his range through out. He can do more variety in tone, vocals and style in the next album. As Suga said Tae has recently discovered another octave in his range in the Dynamite era so he is able to show development. I like Tae’s approach in this future plans to make multiple albums to experiment until he gets to his final destination with his vocal style and songs. This works for him as he like to make authentic and artistic music both tonally and visually. I love this about him. John you should check out Tae’s duet with IU, their vocals matched perfectly and we get to another side of Tae’s vocals not seen in bts. I hope Tae starts doing duets with other artists outside of the company. I’d love to see him collab with an opera singer to give us a jazzy r&b mix with opera.
JUNGKOOK FIRST KOREAN MALE SOLOIST TO WIN A VMA AND TAEHYUNG IS A 2 MILLION SELLER AFTER 23 YEARS OF NO ONE TOUCHING THAT RECORD !? GOOD MORNING TO ME 😭😭😭😭😭
Totally agree with you on the explicit version of 7 being like the original version, it's more fitting to the verse from Latto. I think Taehyung's new album is amazing, it is quite courageous of him to have gone with the type of music he loves rather than go the way he was maybe expected to. There isn't a song on the album I don't like, Slow dancing (flute version) is my favourite at the minute. It has such a laid back, chill vibe and that flute solo at the end wow.
Some songs like Bobby and even more metal: BVDLVD - PUNK! SCARLXRD - Black Rxses BOBBY - HOLUP! CORPSE, bring me the horizon - CODE MISTAKE The Warning, Grandson, Zero 9:36 - CHOKE Ghostemane - I ducking hatw you PIRI, Damien Luci - Decapitation Some rap: BewhY - GOTTASADAE Jay Park, pH-1, BIG Naughty (and more) - The Purge
Thank you for your reactions, I look forward to them every day. I know that you reviewed all of the music videos but BTS have such an expansive and amazing music library that I know that you haven't seen it all. I was wondering if you could react to BTS' B-side songs that are just as awesome as the main tracks like 21st Century Girl, House of Cards, Filter, The Truth Untold, UHG!, GoGo, Anpanman and others that don't have their own music video but they have live performance video with English subtitles. I hope that you would look into them and share that reaction with us. Also, on their solo songs I think that you missed RM's Joker and Do You solo songs. Those two have music videos. Then there are their collab songs like RM's Fantastic for the movie Fantastic 4, BTS cover of Come Back Home (the video doesn't have English lyrics but the live performance does). There is so much to explore I hope you like it. Thank you and take care 💜
V said that when he did this song they were at JK’s and he said JK “directed him”. JK is always looking at different methods to improve vocals and helping his brothers improve is a beautiful thing, especially since the two of them are such good friends💜
To me out of 7 solos, JK's Seven was the most boring and predictable pop which will pass very quickly, the market is full with similar songs. On top, the video is borderline controling partner harassment, not a great example to badger a woman non stop without giving her a moment of space. Most domestic violences start that way if you check the statistics. The most unique solos were from Jhope and V, they didn't bother about the market standards and did what they really connected with in terms of music and style. I love their albums. V's songs have extremely calming effect btw. Suga's solo was bold and heartbreakingly brave. Jimin's Like Crazy is on my permanent playlist along with JK's Stay alive from before.
It's not hard, perfcly fine listening to this one as I'm not someone that uses f*** word a lot, and not in personal relations... As if it's love I don't use f*** and if it's not for sure don't wanna use it. (not English, not American, so not a go to for me)
Let me take a breath. I love the original Seven. I am 70, but not a prude. Being 70 means you've heard it all. Explicitive Seven is slightly pandering. I will add that fake boobs do nothing for me. Why is that necessary? Tae's vocals were beautiful, but I didn't vibe with the look. His hair reminds me of RM in Mic Drop which I loved, but I surmise that this was when V botched his hair. I didn't connect with the costumes either. Looked like some cheap lounge act. Just my opinion. (V bias since 2016).

OH! I can hear the same Backup Singers being leveled up in the last chorus of "Love Me Again" as on NPop!!!
If you listen to the chorus after the second verse, you can hear it after that. It's the adlib back up vocal
I love it!
