Thanks for the tips. We are heading to Rome in a few days. We are staying in an Airbnb for 4 nights before we get on our cruise. Also royal Caribbean Odyssey. I’ll look for more of your videos.
Thanks for link for the A BNB. Question- did you use your mobile carrier (i.e. Verizon) for data and then pay per day for international service or what? We did this in Amsterdam and Norway and it wasn’t too expensive on the monthly bill.
Correct, used per day and my IT department said it is $10 per day that I use it so not to bad and I only used it about 1/2 of the days we were in Europe. My wife has T-Mobile so no extra charge there. (Note if we talked on phone it cost extra but we just used text and data).
We're doing Rome on the way back from the Cruise. We're planning to take the train from the port to our Hotel in Rome CC. One thing I'm worried about is luggage theft. Did y'all have a lot of luggage? Did you store it or keep it with you? If stored, did you feel it was secure?
We kept our luggage with us on train the entire time which was a carryon size roller and backpack for my wife and I. We put luggage and seats next to us which of course took up two seats. There wasn’t even really enough room above the seats unless it was a really small backpack. We did originally plan to leave luggage with Capital Luggage Deposit outside Termini Station but our airbnb let us in early so we lost our 18 euros for them to hold our bags for the day. Thanks for watching. You’re going to love the cruise….and ship!
You can usually expect to show your passport at least twice before boarding the plane
Taxi to center of Rome is 55 Euro, fixed rate. and you get taken to your hotel
Thanks for the tip - I’ll make note for the future.
