We just bought a place in Kissimee and will live here every winter. I am two weeks in and love it! I am dreading going back to NC in March now. What beaches do you recommend?
They are doing ok! It honestly is just kind of hard on us as parents...having all of them at home every day and the little ones needing help constantly.
Hey how are you feeling tonight I hope you are doing well and hope you will enjoy your night with our lord Jesus Christ and I cannot wait to see you while in 2025 because I’m moving to Panama City Beach Florida
Yes we have and we loved it! It is a trade off though, like anything. We do not have mountains or even hills for that matter in Florida, but we do have beautiful beaches and walking trails that can be used year-round. Plus, you can always go back to Wisconsin and visit places like Devil’s Lake!
We are considering moving from Michigan to Florida very soon, however I hear a lot of negative about it, like drugs and crime and bugs, but I hear good too, please help with any encouraging words as my whole family is moving there too. Is it a good place to raise kid? My grandkids and kids are moving, I hear good and bad, we are considering Jacksonville
I’m sure people talk about drugs and crime in different areas of Michigan as well. Who are you hearing these things from? Is it people that don’t want you to go?
Thanks for responding, some comments are from family, but as I just research questions online, I hear lots of different things ......like the bugs are crazy, they get in your home and so on, and drugs, lots of crazy people there on the news lol, we have that too in mich for sure... I try to focus on the positive, I’m sure there are good suburbs there as well, we are all uprooting our lives and comfort zones to come, I’m trying to get a real idea how it will be to live there, I’m kinda thinking it won’t be much different than Michigan other than the weather of course, that’s why I like your videos, thanks for doin them.
NE here what county is your kids school in and do that require mask? Seriously thinking about moving family because school here in the NE is forced remote.
Florida With Five , thanks for the response. Your videos have inspired me and we plan to fly down and check out winter spings and other areas. The only problem is where to consider hahaha, I only chanced on winter spings because of another video haha. Thanks again!
You should if your pay and potentials earnings in your career would be about the same in both states but FL has no state income tax so if you're employed in FL, you only get federal taxes taken out. It would be smart to build in this state and save money to buy a house or find someone to partner with /marry that already has that house. Owning property in FL is the holy grail and appreciates FAST. It's a great investment bc you'll make a gr8 ROI if you sell since there's so much demand and competition for houses
They are not nearly as bad as what most will tell you! Yes, they are here and if you look for them you will find them....but if you live in an urban area and are not too adventurous you likely will not see them!
I’ve wanted to move to Fla since I was a kid. Every time I go down I say, one day I will live here! I’m 55 now I can’t make up my mind. I’m a worry wort so I’m worrying about sink holes and hurricanes. I worry about being swallowed up in my sleep like the man in Tampa. I worry about underestimating a Hurricane and not leaving then regretting it. I just don’t know what to do.
Hi Teresa! You mentioned that you worry about being swallowed up in your sleep in a sinkhole like the man near tampa....ask yourself this...how many people have been killed my tornadoes and such in your state that come without warning? A lot more than the amount of people killed by sinkholes! Also, the good thing about hurricanes is that you get a lot of notice when they are coming. NEVER underestimate a hurricane. You could always consider a move to central Florida as well which doesn't nearly get the flooding/damage that comes along with the big storms. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions!
@@FloridaWithFive yeah I’ve thought of all that. I’m in Ohio and we get a lot of tornadoes but I recently seen that Fla gets more than we do. lol At least we have basements. lol I’m coming down again in the spring so who knows. I do love it there.
Stop being a worry wart. I moved 17+ years ago. just decided to make a move. Went through a list of states. Finally zeroed in on Florida and just moved. Knew ZERO people here. Hurricanes are over-hyped. Been through some five of them, including one or two BIG ones. The trick is to buy/rent to the west of I-95 if you are in South Florida, so you are not impacted or evacuated mandatorily. Also if you have hurricane proof windows, you can actually sit on yoru porch and sip coffee and watch the hurricane, as I do with family, having snacks and drinks. You get 10 days or a week advance notice for Hurricanes unlike for tornadoes/twisters and earthquakes. Never heard of a sinkhole in Florida. If you don't make the move now, it is unlikely you will later when you are 60 or 65. My two cents... imagine being able to visit a beach every day, walking on the warm beach sand, relishing the whispering palms. Florida has a unique vibe that no other state has
@@FloridaWithFive Thank you! We're loving it so far! I'm nervous about the kids starting school here though. I'm hoping they make friends and the school and teachers are better than things I've read. On a positive note, no more freezing our faces when we go outside in the wintertime!
We're also looking to move to Davenport in the next two years, I however spoted your gas grill in the background, I was told you couldn't have gas grills because roaches get them?? Is that true?

@@FloridaWithFive I want to create RUclips talking about blockchain and bitcoin in florida , because the office rent cost and vibe seems good for people who work online. Is that a affordable good place to rent a small office and create RUclips content for a living down there?
@@FloridaWithFive I went stay there about 3 weeks for vocations and going to Disneyland and it is a wonderful experience. But if I move there, will that experience change since you live there? I think I have to rent first to feel how exactly live there in a long time manner.

You are the only one that can determine if you made a mistake or not. I moved to Florida years ago when my son was younger. We were there for 2 years and he complained about missing everything about NY....so we moved back. Within 2 weeks of being back in NY, he said that he was sorry that we moved back. He absolutely hates NY and wishes we never came back. I regret moving back to NY and not sticking it out down there. I just recently landed a work from home job that allows me to live anywhere so I'm now planning my relocation back to Florida. I know other people that moved away from here, then moved back and are perfectly happy. My point is that only you know what's right for you. I wish you success with whatever you choose.

@@FloridaWithFive i rode 27 hours on my motorcycle. It was not fun at all haha
We just bought a place in Kissimee and will live here every winter. I am two weeks in and love it! I am dreading going back to NC in March now. What beaches do you recommend?
Congratulations! Isn’t the weather just fantastic here this time of year?
Do you worry about the hurricanes and sinkholes at all? I want to move but I worry about sinkholes more than anything.
How are your kids doing with online schooling?
They are doing ok! It honestly is just kind of hard on us as parents...having all of them at home every day and the little ones needing help constantly.
Please do a house tour
I hope sooo!!!!!!
Hey how are you feeling tonight I hope you are doing well and hope you will enjoy your night with our lord Jesus Christ and I cannot wait to see you while in 2025 because I’m moving to Panama City Beach Florida
You guys ever go to Devils Lake state park in WI? I’ll miss stuff like that if we move to FL.
That must be really great! Thank you for sharing! What city or town in Florida do you guys live in?
Right now we live in Davenport ❤️
@@FloridaWithFive You say, right now. Do you want to move somewhere else?
NE here what county is your kids school in and do that require mask? Seriously thinking about moving family because school here in the NE is forced remote.
Nearly the whole state has a choice to attend school In person or virtually. The kids that choose to go in school do have to wear masks
Florida With Five , thanks for the response. Your videos have inspired me and we plan to fly down and check out winter spings and other areas. The only problem is where to consider hahaha, I only chanced on winter spings because of another video haha. Thanks again!
I wanna move from Connecticut to Florida and start my life I’m 24
You should if your pay and potentials earnings in your career would be about the same in both states but FL has no state income tax so if you're employed in FL, you only get federal taxes taken out. It would be smart to build in this state and save money to buy a house or find someone to partner with /marry that already has that house. Owning property in FL is the holy grail and appreciates FAST. It's a great investment bc you'll make a gr8 ROI if you sell since there's so much demand and competition for houses
I want to move to Florida so badly, but the snakes and Gators stuff scare me so much.
They are not nearly as bad as what most will tell you! Yes, they are here and if you look for them you will find them....but if you live in an urban area and are not too adventurous you likely will not see them!
Never seen a snake or a gator in 17+ yrs of living in Florida
@@FloridaWithFive You have not been in Florida long, have you? Three hurricanes hit us in in central Florida in 2005. Much damage done!
Florida has a unique vibe that no other state has
Can you take a day trip from Orlando and Disney World from Jacksonville? Or is it too far away?
Absolutely you can! It is only about an hour and 45 minutes
We just moved from Sheboygan!
Welcome fellow Wisconsinite!
@@FloridaWithFive Thank you! We're loving it so far! I'm nervous about the kids starting school here though. I'm hoping they make friends and the school and teachers are better than things I've read. On a positive note, no more freezing our faces when we go outside in the wintertime!
what happened to FL with 5? 7 now?
Hey Guys, Which part of Florida you guys live in?
We are in central Florida...Davenport!
First step have good income
Yes it is true , good income it is so important
💛✨
We're also looking to move to Davenport in the next two years, I however spoted your gas grill in the background, I was told you couldn't have gas grills because roaches get them?? Is that true?
We have never heard anything like that...and all of our neighbors have them as well.
@@FloridaWithFive thanks for all the great information!!
I have been watching moving to florida videos for a while, but why no body talk about job market there, how much average salary and if easy to find job there?
Look through our channel
We have a video on how much jobs pay in FL, and one about how to get a job in FL from out of state.
This video is perfect! So well put!
Thanks Lenny!
Florida is so ungodly hot and humid how the hell could you enjoy living in that environment I can see why people become alcoholics so easily down there
Where did you see an elephant and swim with manatees? I live in Florida, been trying to see a manatee for years
Elephants were at myakka elephant ranch near Sarasota. We swam with manatees through “river ventures” in crystal river!
Live in Minnesota gonna leave soon
Hi I need some help. I lived in Ny all my life. I moved to Fla in july. N I am unhappy 😢 my daughter n granddaughters are here. I miss Ny so much.i miss friends, my job, the life there is different. I want to move back. I dont know if I did the right thing 😢😢 they saw it's cheaper, my health I feel went down cause I am not happy I cry almost everyday I am very depressed can some help me.n tell me why.
@@desireerailine8220 thank you very much for your concern I hope that you will be able to come back as well and be happy with your family I moved out of the woods Community called Meadowcrest which has two inground swimming pools park for the children a community room and Neighbors which that's what I feel better living in I'm going to try to stick it out for about three to four years because of my granddaughter and children in my health and if nothing changes and everything's okay with covid-19 New York and I definitely will go back I do miss it terribly but I think this Meadowcrest area I can make it work and make a home please keep in touch if you like I'll be more than happy to chat with you cuz I do need friends and let me know what part of Florida you'll be in maybe we can get in touch LOL take care be safe and God bless and your Journeys and your decisions
@@maggyfernandez9125 I probably won't get down there until later this year or early next year. I plan on going back to the Clearwater area where I lived before.
@@desireerailine8220 okay that's great I wish you luck I'm in Crystal River I don't know how far that is from Clearwater
@@desireerailine8220 hi there my friend I don't know if you remember me but I moved to Florida from New York about a year ago and I still don't like it here and I want to go back to New York I've been trying to make it a hole for my daughter and my grandchildren but I am very unhappy I don't know how to get out of this depressing mood just wanted to give you a heads up let you know how I'm doing and I hope you're doing well
EARLY!!
Does Davenport have sink holes?
Sinkholes can happen anywhere, but Davenport is not known for them!
@@FloridaWithFive thank you. Is Davenport safe because I heard Orlando is not but is in fact "the hood".
Yes, Davenport is very safe! There are some areas of Orlando I would stay away from, but for the most part Orlando is OK too!
Moving to Orlando soon from Denver! CO is so overrated...I have kids and need more than mountains in my life....CO only attractions are, hiking, biking, camping..... None of which interest me and my family....we have done over a dozen mountain towns....they are all the same...CO is 😴 we moved to Denver from Houston, TX 2 years ago and of course it was exciting...in the beginning.... Now we sit at home on our days off trying to figure out where to go besides the mountains....looking forward to FL! Can't even enjoy the mountain view these days with all the smoke! The average housing price of 700k in Denver/Metro area is another reason to GTFO!
I have seen the housing costs in Denver...they are insane! Well for your family's sake, there is surely no shortage of things to do in Florida!
Do you live in Davenport?!
Yes we do!
@@FloridaWithFive is there anywhere else you wish you lived?! Or do you love Davenport?!

Hey pal!
Enjoy your uplifting videos. But stop....we have enougha people!
Is the water temperature super cold in the springs with the manatee?
It is a pretty consistent 70-72 degrees year round...a little chilly, but not too bad!
If not u can’t enjoy nothing
It was 27 this am
Ouch. We will try to send some sunshine and warmth your way!
I bet you regret it now
