Sir nicely explained. One ancestral residential property dated b4 2001 was sold for Rs 73 lacs in Feb 24. 5 persons r the owners of that property. In that case, whether 10% TDS has to b recovered from the seller, due to the fact that it has exceeded 50 lacs or with the share of 5 persons, it is coming down to Rs. 14 lacs each approx, less than that limit of 50 lacs. Another doubt, out of the five, one person is going to buy second hand flat and if so, whether that purchase of the flat should b completed not later than 6 months of the sale ie b4 Aug 24. No Advance agreement has been made so far till july 24. That person has deposited the sale proceeds in his savings account and not in capital gain scheme account. Is it in order?
