Kevin Feige is desparate he is trying to gets fans interested in MCU how they use too. He probably thought it would be difficult bring back Tony Stark but want Robert Downey Junior back anyway.

once i have seen RDJ i knew thats the tipping point of the MCU. I do not think that it can work in the way they are probably going for. Its the "safe route" RDJ is just there for nostalgia bait for MCU fans of the first hour. Doom will be a waste for 2 movies and i do not think they can or want to make him comic accurate.
The are probably really going for the tony stark variant and then the "secret wars" is about the avengers arguing if they can kill a doom that looks like stark..
I feel the exact same way man. I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt here but I’m not too optimistic.

This just proves Marvel sees these characters as interchangeable, and have no respect for characters or the fans. Of course, the Russos already demonstrated that with the characters they didn't like in IW/EG.
Exactly!!!!! Their handling of the Hulk has been pretty terrible. I hope Dr. Doom doesn’t end up the same way.

I get having RDJ back but why not use him as a variant Cameo, one and done.
I hope he's not the Doctor Doom proper, even if it's just a camera...I don't like it.
I'd prefer a Romani actor or an unknown. But they're going to do what they want. They could have done so many others.
You idea is cool, I think a limited series would be a great idea and I think you could do it without the FF too.
Would love add on your idea by having him get rid of the other Dooms from the previous FF movies.

You certainly know what you're talking about. Even I don't want for RDJ to come back as Dr. Doom and a movie/tv show to present him and then bringing him into The Kang Dynasty. That's something I would be more interested in seeing. Not to mention, the people over at Marvel need to understand that we do need someone fresh or the first actor to portray Dr. Doom like how J.K. Simmons returned to portray another J. Jonah Jameson. I just hope they hear out the fans and change up with what they're doing.
