How does this machine even qualify for being hauled off is just unusual to me. This machine seems like it can give alot of years with some minor maintenance. Thanks for posting Kirk.
Are these old Kenmore 110s still worth buying, if you’re a person like me who likes the old machines and how easy they are to work on? Are parts still available? I know this video is over a year old, but I would be grateful for a brief response. Thanks so much!
I recently bought an 80's Kenmore 110 and it has been great! It nest needed a new lid switch, and from what I could tell, most parts are still readily available,even for such an old washer
I have the model of this washing machine that has the button with four washing intensities and it is great, you can wash even the most delicate clothes in the very slow position
I have one almost like it so it is about 16 years old starting to leak a little don't really want to buy a new one I have only had to have this one fixed one time
Just what it say on the deterent label maybe a cup! But I have rinsed these cloth twice threw some in there to see if there was a difference,and there none still getting lint
it pushes everything down the drain,,, From what I understand, In Europe it is illegal or against code to pump anything down the drain other than water/waterish waste. Most American machines do not bother with filters. In your case, your machine has no filter to clean out. Most lint will get trapped underneath the agitator and then during rinse and spin it will get pumped out...
I often tell the story about how my apartment traded out their top load Speed Queen washers for front load Speed Queen washers. You know, the ones that wash a weeks worth of funky underwear and gym clothes, in a single gallon of water ( exaggerating of course). With the top load washer with tap hot water, true warm water etc. my clothes always smelled fresh and were always clean and rarely required pre-treating. When the front loads came, i was excited to use them but quickly realized, it was not what i expected. I started having spots on my clothes. small stains that used to wash right out, no longer did. Dog bedding wasn't fresh at all. I took my clothes to my grandmother's house that still had her old school Kenmore, similar to the one shown and not only was the capacity larger, my clothes smelled so fresh and were so damn clean. i have an old school washer now. I can add a sock 30 second's into the wash if i want. I can do a second rinse if i was too heavy handed with detergent. I can soak clothes as needed. I love it.

I really miss the old school washers like this one these are one of my favorite top load washers and of course speedqueen except the tr series

so easy to work on...
Seems like there's something up with the clutch. I'm not sure though, it seemed to slip into spin after a while.
I think it suds-locked.

i wish that some of the modern washer agitator would spin like this in one direction.
Some do but slower they dont makes these anymore but you can buy them used

seems like it's draining slow, and while it's draining i think i can still hear some rhythm from the clutch

All new washers now don’t work like the old one.
Got a bad clutch. Not spinning half the time.
btw for your next k-m cycle can you do Perm-Press Or normal?
Normal would be the 100% cycle i would like to see next but add 15 shirts to it
