i am more interested in how thick the ice is where vehicles are. Is there a such thing as street parking in that area? Plus the fact that many huts are still not out there... that is saying something about the ice condition. Mid February, 4 weeks until huts get pulled out, still doing ice report(thanks) shows that this winter ice ain't so good.?

My crew was supposed to rent a hut yesterday but it got cancelled because someone fell in due to a large chunk of ice breaking free the day before. Trip is postponed for the 20th now. I think we'll be on the west side of the lake.

I know you filmed this on Feb. 8th but what are your thoughts on today's (Feb. 9th) heavy rains and warmer temperatures and its affects to the ice conditions on Simcoe? I was at Bay of Quinte last week and this weather will definitely open up lots of the ice there. I'm sure much of it should hold up on Simcoe if the weather cools again.
