      played it since release back in the day. i come back from time to time to do special events (and get new craftable unique weapons/gear)
      level cap is increased to 50 and +10 prestige points so basically lvl 60. lots of new unique gear and they added new raid areas and bosses, tendrils still proven to be one of the more consistent deadly bosses tho lol

    I've wanted to play this game for a very long time because i was a huge fan of the first one, but I don't have a PC anymore. It's a huge change from the first considering the first one had a top down type of view. There were alot more zombies too to where you could be overun with dozens of them. It was hard af too. It had a handful of different outposts scattered throughout the game world and each one was in a different hazard level basically. The game got extremely difficult when you started getting closer to the end zones. I made it to the second farthest outpost once and it was ridiculous. You had to be super strong and have top tier gear to make it there. Even if you had good gear you still had to know how to play right. Looting in the harder zones was rough because the density of zombies was high and you had to hold down the search button for a few seconds to complete the search. You could move and search an object at the same time, but you had to stay close to said object or else you'd have to restart the search. So you could get lucky and complete the search before the zombies got to you, you could just ditch that object completely, or you could try to kill off the immediate threats and risk alerting an even bigger hoard and potentially be killed. Melee didn't attract zombies at all so you could quietly take out nearby threats. Pistols, smgs and semi auto rifles were low threats and would only attract zombies within earshot. Then you'd have shotguns, assault rifles, chainsaws, hmgs that would attract everything in the zone and have you running around being chased by all kinds of deadly threats. Loud guns like that were used for xp grinding, aka leveling up. Melle and quieter guns were used for looting. If you didn't have a looting building then looting was damn near impossible in harder zones. So you'd just about have to have 2 accounts. Use one for looting and the other for leveling and being decked out with heavy gear. So you'd basically have to loot for both characters since your shotgun build basically couldn't loot effectively. The game was really hard, but it was really addictive if you could get into it. Before my wife and I married we'd play it together sometimes. It was really fun playing with another person. Pretty sure both games were done by a solo dev btw. He did good that's for sure.

    I liked this game only real draw back i found is if you don't play the game EVERYDAY the game punishes you with not enough food, fuel and ammo. It gets to the point you know if you go out you will die and the only way for you to keep everything is if you buy things using real money! This kept happening and i got tired of constantly being asked for money from a supposedly "FREE" game. The orginal wasn't as good visually but a little bit more merciful with missing a day or two. Now i would never play this agai. Knowing what i know but if you never tried it give it a try and discover everything yourself

      @kenjisayaovong7694 Месяц назад

      all of that is bs and false you must not played enough...you don't need to spend money on DF2 to keep everything up and you can easy maintain items, food and fuel isn't a issue as most of us don't use the car to travel less we going from Outpost to Outpost. Ammo depending on what gun your using varies. You must not play long enough to say a bunch of false info maybe spend more time in the game or put more hour into it to actually fully understand it instead of a few hour then bashing it with false info

    • @magnusgreel275
      @magnusgreel275 Месяц назад

      @@kenjisayaovong7694 So is it a time-sink--do you have to play a lot to maintain your character? Does it ask for money often?
      I'm wary of 'free' games because there's going to be some way for them to make it worthwhile to keep the servers running and the game updated. What is their monetisation model?

    • @kenjisayaovong7694
      @kenjisayaovong7694 Месяц назад +1

      @magnusgreel275 your rewarded with the amount of time put into it. If you play daily you can maintain almost everything you need base on how you build your character and what weapon your planing to main. This game is a grind fest, so if your aiming to get good end game gear your gonna have to grind for it. Even without the grinding you can get decent gear that'll put you in good spot to run those end game or event pz. I rarely play and play from Day 1 but stop for a good few years. I'm on and off with DF2 and no don't need that many character as you'll need to buy more slots to make more character. 2 is good enough but everything can be done with one just involve a lot of time, also if your skipping major event such as the one happening now and going towards the anniversary which I'll say are the best time to play then your missing out making or creating good gear for low and max level

    Not sure if you've already encountered one but watch out of the zombies lying on around. You might think it's dead but it isn't. They only way you can tell is by aiming on it's face to see if it's mouth is moving. If it moves, it's playing dead.
    Also peanut butter and orange juice items worth selling at a high price due to how rare they are if I remember.

    i played this game back in 2018 or 2019. it just doesn't have enough depth. the loop of the game is much too simple with just looting and going back to base. with minimal events happening in the world to hold interest. in terms of looter shooters there are many games that are much better. this game has (or rather had since it looks identical when i played back then) potential but it just feels too bare bones to warrant a lot of time into when games like State of Decay 2, Once Human, or The Division 2 exist and do what this game wants but WAY better.
