I watched an interview with them both..she tends to help him let his hair down a little! (Ha) 💠

So you're dealing with the Latin Pascha which falls on 31 March this year, rather than Holy Pascha which falls on 5 May this year (I don't remember when the Jewish Pascha falls). ☦

Edward is his given name. Ted is his nick name. My understanding is family and friends have always known him as and called him Ted. @@rosiegirl2485

The question that has troubled me for many years: the Lord celebrated the Pasch on Thursday night but, it was (and continues to be) done on Friday night. Why would He & the 12 have celebrated it a day early? One of my former professors insisted that John wanted the crucifixion to be equated with the Pasch. Perhaps, I'm missing something but, it just never seemed to make sense. Thanks for your help. Pax.

As far as I know, according to Scott Hahn & other Bible scholars, they don’t get to finish the Passover meal, because traditionally there are 4 cups to be drunk at Passover, & they didn’t get to drink the Fourth Cup at the Last Supper. Jesus drinks that Fourth Cup at the cross (after which He says “it is finished). Passover isn’t just the meal, it is also the temple sacrifice of the lamb, which must be eaten at the meal. In Jesus’ case, He was the lamb who was sacrificed. So He gave Himself to His disciples & the world as the new Passover Lamb at the meal on Thursday, and completed the new Passover - the new Covenant - when He became the sacrificial lamb on Friday.
I think this is why the Triduum that starts at Holy Thursday & ends at the Easter Vigil is actually one entire Mass as well.
      Hope this helps!

@@mercedes_72 Dear Mercedes, thank you for your kind response. In the protestant past, everything was dissected to the extreme and in many ways verses were disassociated with one another; thus, leading to a situation in which, things were simply over looked. Such was the case with the fourth cup of wine; the questioning of its apparent exclusion and the Lord's response. In other words, none of that made sense and your explanation is most helpful. However, the question I had (forgive me if this is more of my disassociation), is that the first Mass was celebrated on Thursday night but, Friday night was the Passover as Saturday is the Sabbath. Or, is this detail as ridiculous as the professors would contend? It seems that Scott Hahn had said that the weather may have been a source of confusion, if the moon was concealed by cloud cover, that may have influenced the day of the festival. At any rate, thank you again for your input. You have been most helpful. Pax

What particular scriptures would you recommend reading from Monday thru Wednesday, other than the daily readings? I am Joyce from NY.

Dr Ted; I asked Catholic Priest this question but they were unble to reply. 'Why did 'God The Father' , who had the power, not prevent the Jews , and the Romans from the brutal execution they did to His Son - Jesus Christ? Jesus Christ asked his 'Father' for a PASS, the day before, but he did not get one.
