We love Jimmy Carter. My family were refugees from Thailand and immigrants from Loas. During his presidency of his term, my brother was born in 1978 and came to the US and in the year 1979, my father named my brother " Carter". We told this story to everyone we go because he has an most unusual name since we all have Ethnic Hmong names. My father tells story of how President 's love for human and we arrived in the US and made US our home. Growing up, I hear his name and stories all the time and see president Jimmy Carter on TV. WOW! TV was a culture shock in US as well. Whenever, he appear on national TV, We would all stop everything and all 9 children in my household would and sit in front of a TV and watch Jimmy Carter speak, even when we did not understand nor speak English at the time. I name my eldest son, Jimmy and he is 37 year of age. My condolences to his children and family. My father passed in 2000 but know that he was proud to have named my brother Carter. THANK YOU!
