So in today's video we are going over all of the mechanical and part differences between the 2 models and what to look for if you are on the market for an ABS specific SV650. Thanks.
Thanks for watching!
Rear calipers are different also iirc.
Also the undertail tray. And harness. And obvi front brake lines.
I forgot to mention the harness! But yeah. I figured the undertail tray would be in the same category as the battery tray but I should’ve specified. Thanks for clarifying the details that I missed. 😎
@@PASSIONBUILT looking at parts fiche (on partzilla) looks like the front forks have a slight difference as well (the mount for the abs hall effect sensor probably)
@@PASSIONBUILT and it seems there was also an "abs specific" color >
From the Pens and Pixels page. He has the 2009 blue as ABS specific but I’ve parted a couple of those that were none ABS and had a friend with one that was none ABS. I’m not entirely sure that the ABS had a specific color for it. But maybe 🤷🏻♂️
As for the fork differences. I never would have thought that. We need to get our hands on another ABS model and investigate! 🧐
Fortunately but unfortunately the ABS model I currently have came with the GSXR front already installed when I picked it up.
I’m looking into this bike as a beginner bike. I’m 5’2 so it’s been a mission finding bikes i can stand up easily in😂
Any input on other bikes I could look into would be great 🙏🏼
The SV650 is a great starter bike. I highly recommend it for anyone’s first bike. You could always get a low profile seat from Corbin and throw a set of lowering links on and you’ll be good to go. I hope this helps steer you toward the SV family 🙂
@@PASSIONBUILT thank you for the reply!! ❤️
No problem! Let me know if you end up finding an SV or what bike you decide to go with 😃
He'll yeah, let's go!!!!!!!
Thanks for the positive comment brother! 😎
What about abs sensor for front end ....since u have swapped the front end
I bought that bike with the swapped front end. It had magnets jb welded in the rotors and a Hall effect sensor for the pickup.
@@PASSIONBUILT good to know all that works
