In an effort to reduce drunk driving, government wants devices in cars that will monitor and limit impaired driving.
But there’s a big problem: these devices give government control over your car.
Automotive engineer and former vintage race car driver Lauren Fix points out the dangers in my video, above.

Exept, EVs don't pay gas taxes! Big Brother needs another form of money to combat racist roads build public transit systems that are expensive and waste money. My local transit system just received $1,000,000 from creepy Uncle Joe (actually, all us taxpayers) for electric buses. The problem is that most of the electricity produced were l live comes from natural gas. For those who aren't knowledgable in electricity production, only 40% of actual thermal energy is transformed into electricity. Thus it would be more efficient for them to purchase natural gas powered buses!

Contrary to popular belief, not a single state in the U.S. pays for its roads via vehicle taxes (gas, tires, registration, etc.). They all supplement with sales, income, and general tax finds to cover the enormous cost of road building and maintenance. Engineers worked out during the Eisenhower administration that modern roads wear out almost entirely because of vehicle use, as calculated by the 4th power rule. I'll spare you the math, but several thousand bicyclists crossing a stretch of road do equal damage to the tax fund as a single typical American car with one person in it. Basically tire taxes suck, but don't actually cover the tremendous cost of roads.

A few months ago my wife was pregnant, had pneumonia, and coughed hard enough to break a rib. I drove her to the ER at half the speed limit, in the middle of the night, driving around potholes, manhole covers and anything that might have made the slightest bump- and back, three hours later - and I'm a little disappointed with the local PD that I *wasn't* pulled over for suspicion of intoxication. Imagine someone having to drive themselves to the ER in such a state and their car shuts down.

There are natural rights. The Constitution was originally written to say when the coercive agency known as government can infringe upon them according to their own justification, and then explicitly states things they can't even according to their own rules. However, they started ignoring those rules as early as Washington by imposing direct taxes on goods, which the Constitution specifically prohibits for the federal government.

States also tax fuel, TWICE, they have a fuel tax and then sales tax when you buy it…. They also tax you via vehicle “registration” every year, and then they tax you for owning the vehicle “property tax” , every year. Your car insurance premiums also have a tax added to them. You have to pay to get a drivers license or to renew your license. When you get your car inspected so you can pay to renew your vehicle registration, they tax your vehicle inspection. They tax the motor oil you put in your car 3 times, tax on the oil itself, sales tax on the oil , and tax on the service itself if you don’t do it yourself. Ever gotten a parking ticket ? Or any type of ticket pertaining to the operation (speeding, not wearing a seatbelt , didn’t use turn signal, etc.) or operational state of your vehicle (tail light, headlight, etc.) , that’s a tax. Then they tax you on the parts and labor to get it fixed…. If one actually sat back and thought about it and calculated all the taxes you pay, it makes you physically sick…

So, didn't my comment actually note that BOTH parties support these types of Bills???
In most cases, they do need the support of both parties in order to pass Congress and be signed into law by the President.
Granted, in some instances, one party can and does control all of Congress and the Presidency for short periods of time but even then, some of them will balk at supporting some Bills which they then need someone from the other party to assist them in getting them passed.
