I was addicted to drugs and barely survived.. I remember hearing some of Mac's songs where he spoke about his own experiences and it gave me hope to keep fighting. I never thought that I would ever come this far and aspire to do the same with my own Music.. When you are facing real life demons that only seem to get stronger; it's almost as if you have no choice but to use drugs to find some peace. I don't expect everyone to understand, but this is the world we live in. We need to work together - rather than bring each other down. Love and positivity needs be so much louder. Life is worth living!
so true i hear you on that and I'm lucky to be alive today 3 years ago I overdosed 5 times with in a year span out of the 5 times two happened in two days back to back i was just lucky I was around friends who didnt do drugs and didnt know i did drugs like that til those two days.when it happned at college where i was suspended for a year and got a.second.chance.or.should i.say 5 chances at life again which led me.to.rehab then to.being clean off that shit til this day but I wouldn't be alive today if i wasnt around friends so I know what it like its just sad to see he was by himself when he overdosed and no.one was there to save him I just feel fortunate to be alive and feel so.bad for mac and his family and friends and fans that no.one was there to.save his life like mine and how grateful I am to be alive and be able to still listen to macs music to keep his memory alive through his music and to be a reminder that life is short and how none of us are promised the next day and how anyday can be our last rip mac i hope you can rest in peace and know that.your music still helps me and other people through hard times like these and a daily reminder that drugs aren't worth more then your life and that you have to accept the things we cannot change and take it one day at a time no.matter how hard life seems to be at that time and to keep moving forward with your life through the ups and downs no.matter what life's throws at you

His lyrics hit home, and he's never made a bad song. His songs have helped me not give a fuck, they help me out of panic attacks, they paint a story in my head of the fact I'm not the only human experiencing depression and anxiety. He described his demons, “all the times I fell asleep and forgot to die”...dammit, we listen to their music and just think that they are cool ass lyrics and rhymes but not cries for help. How are people supposed to know the difference? Mac Miller was in distress, he was hurting, the words he sang of are actually what was going on inside of his soul and he brought it out verbally as art, musical art. Sometimes that’s how people get their own therapy. Writing such as in a journal or diary... A musician is going to sing about his/her demons, fears, angers, what makes him curl up and cry, sometimes that is therapeutic. Mac’s actions at this time needed to be assessed to make sure they didn’t match the recent gloom and doom he had woven into his fantastic music. Maybe he acted fine and then again...maybe this was a plain old, fucked up overdose...that have the same “HELP ME”, meaning.

Personally I think Mac's absolute best work was Faces. I just recently listened to it. Im gonna be honest, I loved GO:OD AM, and Swimming, but they really dont compete with what Faces did. I know it was a mixtape and not like commercially released but I think that project shouldve won a Grammy.
