I'm a 37 year old Doctor just started my hifz journey inshallah. Memorised 1 juz. This series is amazing. Please keep going. It constantly renews my motivation. I'd like to make one humble request. Please brother Musa make a playlist with YOUR recitation of the whole Quran. I memorised Surah Mulk listening to your 8min clip and Allahumma Barik your makharij and tajweed combined with your melody is the perfect blend. I would pay good money to be able to listen to your recitation of the Quran separated into the surahs. This would massively help in my memorisation journey.

Mashallah. SubhaanAllah. I also started at around 37 years age and till now I have memorized 7 juz, and 8th juz in progress. It took me 1 and half year to memorize 2 juz and I almost gave up memorization thinking it to be impossible. But after sometime I started again and now I am memorizing 8th juz. You will feel motivated and many a times demotivated or discouraged, BUT IT IS WHEN YOU NEED NOT TO GIVE UP. At the end of day you will find it really easy as promised by Allah in Quran. Shaitan will try his best to make you feel that you can not do it. But do not give up. If you feel taking a break of few days, you can take it, but then get back to memorization. Never put a full stop. Keep repeating the already memorized surah(chapters) while walking, sitting, enjoying in a park, spare time in office etc. Also learn meaning of each word you. memorize. As I mentioned above, 2 juz took me 1 and a half year to be memorized, now I am able to memorize 1 juz in 20 days because now I understand Quranic language as well

@@pervaizshiekh7821how many juz do you revise in a day? Do you get tested by a Hafiz to see your memorisation?

@@htmoh8115 Assalamealikum. As I am working on 8th Juz in total, I revise more or less 1 Juz from what I have already memorized in my 5 time Salah(the best way to revise Quran in the beginning till you get used to Quran). And now recently(a few days ago) I made a time table(written down on a paper) that when my day starts, I will divide it in 3 parts(periods), 1st period be for NEW JUZ then 2nd period for MOST RECENTLY MEMORIZED JUZ, and then 3rd period will be for revising revising any of older juzs And these 3 periods are IN ADDITION TO RECITING 1 JUZ IN MY SALAH.(You can decide the time duration of each period depending upon your availability of time, and 1 hour for each period is good, though I keep memorizing whole day while running my shop). SO WHATEVER HAPPENS Never and ever give reciting Quran during your Salah. Sometimes you may get busy in other things and may have emotional ups and downs Or mood swings, it is salah which will still help you keep reciting and revising Quran during that day or time. During memorization of Up to 5 juz, revising 1 juz daily is enough and one you start memorizing 6th and above juz till 10th juz, 1 and half juz will work for you. Most Importantly if you are a non-Arabic speaking person, DO LEARN QURANIC LANGUAGE OF EACH SURAH AND AYAH YOU MEMORIZE. It will help you stay more and more motivated as reciting Quran with knowing it's meaning makes you feel as if Allah is speaking to you and it is like tasting something which is most peaceful and pleasing to your heart and soul.
I have a brother who knows tajweed and how to read Quran, I learnt reading Quran from him then started memorizing, though I don't recite to any Hafiz to get my recitation checked. But if you have a regular teacher, it is better. Though I learn many things from RUclips videos, also keep watching videos on RUclips about VIRTUES OF QURAN, HOW TO MEMORIZE QURAN, Etc etc, in order to stay motivated in this Journey. Also I pray to Allah every day to teach me Quran, and make me Hafiz of Quran. When you make this Dua, then believe me, Allah opens up doors of knowledge and help for you which you would not imagine. So make Dua to Allah to give you Quran. As of now, I am doing Hifz almost All alone, but may be once I have memorized full Quran, I will consult a teacher to further strengthen my memorization thereafter.

Masha Allah brothers.Algamdulila I started a year ago with my hifth at the age of 43.I agree that there are lots of moments when one wants to give up.
It feels impossible at times and one has the desire to just throw in the towel.
And it’s even harder when one is working and has a family.
But doing small amounts eventually adds up.
I am currently at surah Najm, started from Juz 30.
May Allah swt facilitate everyone in their Hifth journey to never give up and to persevere.
After all hifth never ends,it’s a life long journey even when we one completes

@@imraanrahim6939 Mashallah brother. That is great. Keep up your Hifz Journey, inshallah, you will soon be a Haafiz e Quran. It doesn't matter how much time it takes to memorize because even if a person dies during his/her Hifz Journey, Allah will raise him/her as a Haafiz e Quran on the Day of Judgement. So keep going slowly but consistantly. Never give up because if you complete hifz, it will mean the Highest Level in Jannah for you inshallah(as long as your intention is to please Allah). I am also trying my best to memorize Quran. I started almost 2 years ago, and now I have memorized almost 7 juz and am working on 2 more juz currently. And my current target is to complete 10 juz in total which may take me a couple of months from now. Then i am.planning to celebrate my 10 juz memorization in best possible way. And then i will inahallah start 11th and onwards juz memorization. But it feels sometimes very difficult, sometimes impoosible, but then again it feels easy, so it keeps happening like that, but we should never stop memorizing. Even if some days you do not memorzie new verses of Quran, keep revising older pages. At the end ofthe day it is really easy. Please pray for me as I want to become a hafiz too.

I do appreciate how much you Brother encourage memorization of the Book of ALLAH, but more than memorization much more focused on rev revising which is more important, because forgetting after memorization is really trouble... please keep on encouraging. I wish InshALLAH one day I'll call you and will tell you that because of your encouragement and with the help of ALLAh I completed memorization.

Assalamu alikum Shaykh, I am 65 years old and worked for Dawa'h magazine in Madison WISCONSIN published by Almuntada Al Islami. I worked almost 14 year. I started my journey in 2010 and memorize last three Juzz due to the daily activity for family I am unable to continue, but I am willing to start again. How can I call for question and answer?
