I’m a Chevy guy but whenever I see videos of people modifying ford blocks to run ls heads or full custom jobs making ls heads work for a six cylinder I absolutely am intrigued and wanna watch and see if it goes successfully and I also hope it does work successfully. I absolutely love these oddball, mixing of different automakers parts. I’m absolutely fascinated by it and will support you all the way through.

Just Golden! I grew up when Wally Booth was 'stacking' AMC head castings to get airflow and Bruce Sizemore was furnace brazing 351 Cleveland head segments together for his 300 Ford - I thought all of that became a lost art, thanks for bringing back REAL engine building skills!
Check out another skilled RUclipsr by the name of Allen Millyard. He's done a number of awesome motorcycle engine builds, like turning two kawi i6's into a v12, or two inline 3s into a 2 stroke i5
@@RChero1010 I've seen them - they're impressive enough, - I have machined and built several inline four cylinder snowmobile engines over 1000CCs from two and three cylinder snowmobile engines - but the type of work required to develop both vertically and horizontally sectioned cylinder heads was just "magic" to watch, especially at that time (early '70s)

I mean I'm just doing an LS retrofit in my old Camaro and I find that difficult at times lol. But man great work and keep up the videos The fact that you made all that stuff work is just incredible. Tolerances and all You keep up the good work man

Since I saw the one in the Maverick, Ive always wanted to do this. You might have had a much easier time with a MegaSquirt computer or even a Micro to just get it going, but man I'm glad to see more people doing this. This is the American spirit; innovetion, perseverance, success. The greatest nation in the history of the world.

You are awesome! I’ve been an in-line lover and racer for years. Edelbrock has a casting factory and all the design hardware needed to make the heads, cam, intake, exhaust, and control system. The 300 cu in Ford engine is so rad even with reworked stock heads. In the sixties, guys were chopping up ford Cleveland heads for drag racing.

This is witchcraft but i love it. 6 cylinders, an engine that's been around since the 60s using a head that's almost half a century more advanced, Ford on Chevy and somehow sounds like a V8. You my friend are a true DaVinci when it comes to this project

Not much to putting a LS head on a SBF or a 300 6 seeing the LS is basically a windsor and a Cleveland head mixed together.

The 292 would have probably been a better candidate for this head, bore space is the same as ls
That 6 cylinder is an absolute beast. I had one in an old van and towed everything with it. Over 500k miles when I got rid of it.

Glad to know someone actually tried to start the engine I heard bout like 8 years ago an even a 460. Big block head. Hopefully someone tries that one
The 460 head was put on a 4 cyl. Mercrusier tried to make them run. Big Disaster
