Incredible!!!! And I disagree, we will always have the original classics but occasionally someone puts a new more modern spin on one. This is one such occasion!
Nice man! Those are the Loomis Blackouts right? I bought the same set for my Horizon FR-7 as well. Any trouble getting them in? How do you like them compared to the EMG 57/66?
Thanks man and they sure are! Swapping them is a breeze since they both use the same quick connect cables. I definitely prefer the Blackouts to the EMG set, but that’s because I prefer passives in general and the Blackouts are more dynamic in that sense. The 57/66 set has tighter lows, but I personally found them to have the same harshness and sterile feel that has always put me off to EMG pickups in general.
@@vinsaneinthemembrainnnnThose are great guitars. I used the foam pads that were already under the emgs. Same screws as well and didn’t notice a significant size difference when swapping them, so they shouldn’t give you any trouble
@@GiovanniRafii Nice! I've been boosting mine with a Boss SD-1w. At first, I wasn't blown away by the IR-X, but boosting really takes it to another level. It takes pedals really well and feels really good to play. Are you using the stock IRs or have a preferred one?
@@lostwoodsThat was my first impression as well. Using an overdrive is really the best way to get a tight and quick attack. The onboard boost is nice for leads, but it feels a bit too loose for my taste. Especially, with a 7 string. I’m using the stock IRs, but I also have an Empress Paraeq MKII Deluxe in the effects loop, which I mainly use to shape/boost the mid frequencies a bit more and slightly smooth out the high frequencies.
@@GiovanniRafii I'll have to try an EQ in the loop sometime. I was impressed with how a boost really indeed improved the attack especially when playing in Drop C.

Wow, this is so good! Impressive work!
Great

@@GiovanniRafii yeah man I have a Loomis Soloist 7 and love it. Did you have to use any Foam? Same screws? I believe the Duncans are shorter.

Dude! Sick playing 👍 Are you boosting the IR-X at all?
Much appreciated! I’m boosting the IR-X with a Friedman Golden Pearl.

Theres a lot of notes. But sounds nice
It sounded absolutely amazing BUT no just no. You CANNOT mess with Pink Floyd. It’s just blasphemy.
Lol I can and I did. I see no point in regurgitating what’s already been perfected in its original form.
Thanks for listening😘
