I am looking for used 3008 and looking to understand controls before i test drive. Ive looked at nearly every review on RUclips and this is by far the best static review. Very little detail has been missed and some things shown are not detailed on any of the other reviews. Well done. Please drive a 180 petrol and review it on road.
I'd prefer the looks of the Opel/Vauxhall Grandland X (which is based on the 3008) if I were to be comparing compact crossover SUVs, but to me the best looking crossover SUV right now has to be Alfa Romeo Stelvio.
Not that great looking to be honest. I'd prefer the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk over the Durango SRT, but overall IMO the Stelvio is still the best crossover, design wise.
Nope. It is quite quiet. I think the handling is great for a car of this size. I have a 2016 308 THP for about 14 months now, and the car has been pretty reliable so far. The service centre I go to have been quite pleasant as well.
Just want to know what tech spec are less in Active compare to Allure? If they only downgrade upholstery material & tyre size, then opting for Active is not such a bad idea
On the outside, the Active gets; - Automatic manual levelling halogen reflector headlights (vs. auto levelling LED projectors) - Halogen front foglights (vs. LED) - Regular bulb front indicators (vs. LED sequential indicators) - Front grille with vertical motifs (vs. horizontal motifs) - Different exterior trim pieces around the car On the inside; - Cloth seats (vs. full leather) - Manual driver's seat (vs. powered with memory) - No ambient lighting on the Active
Allure isn't the highest spec available for the 3008 worldwide, it is somewhat the mid-spec model. It is however, the highest spec model in Malaysia. I wouldn't worry too much of the powered rear hatch, I find more of a nuisance to have that feature although I would say it is useful to some.
Choy Yeb Kang the highest spec is GT, which is not available in Malaysia. The highest spec Peugeot brings to Malaysia is just Allure, the middle trim. Thankfully Peugeot decides to bring their second highest trim, the GT Line, to Indonesia. 😍
YJ XX, I dont agree with your overrated, and overreaction on a little thing in life. The way you describe him in your sentiment is something I do not agree with at all. He is not at all bad , just because he apparently sounds annoying. His voice sounds beautiful, unlike your rude sentiment that you stated. As of what I think, you are the one, whose actions imply is annoying. Please, next time you comment on a video, please think about what you have written, and if it is something that you think will not cause disputes, write it, if it's nessescary . If it will, don't even think about writing down the comment. Not only for comments on videos, but also in your daily life. May this be a life lesson! Sorry for nagging, but this was an issue I want to state to you. Please contemplate on what you have done, and next time, do, and think better! 👌🏻 ~Evan Director of Evan The Carrot
My first car was a peugeot and i really like this car. I will never buy it tough. The previous model was the most unreliable car in my country in 2016.
Yes, it's true. If you compare the spec given to other countries, ours spec is really really sucks plus expensive too. Other countries front passenger seats got massage function too! Malaysia even highest spec don't have power boot and panoramic sun roof. Don't know why all these car manufacturers bring in lousy spec to our country but selling higher price compare to other countries. Sucks!!!
This is the highest Malaysian spec right? ruclips.net/video/kUt2EWQFOro/видео.html It's Allure trim, right? Thankfully we in Indonesia will get the GT Line trim version with panoramic sunroof, electric tailgate, seat massage etc. Really don't understand why Peugeot Malaysia doesn't do the same as Peugeot Indonesia..
Those two features are more of novelties rather than necessities. Yes, it may be nice to have it, but it's not really that big of a deal if there isn't. Personally, I'd prefer not to have the powered tailgate as it is much faster to open and close the rear hatch manually. I like panoramic sunroofs, I have it in my own car, but sometimes I wish it wasn't there as the weather in Malaysia is more often that not too hot for a sunroof.
Freddy Ngow Malaysian-spec vehicles are actually relatively well equipped compared to what you would get for a similar trim level in other places. A lot of markets for example the UK have what we have standard in Malaysia as options or packages over there. Cars in Malaysia are expensive, but not as expensive as Singapore if you want to compare on pricing alone.
Leo Chan The highest 3008 spec in Malaysia is sold as the Allure, but it has GT Line goodies such as the front grille, LED headlights, LED front fog lights, LED interior lights, and LED sequential front indicators. The panoramic sunroof and powered tailgate are only available on the GT, unless Peugeot Indonesia decides to spec otherwise.
Honestly your review always same in every video and that style make me feel quite boring in most of the time with your English slang and camera motion, even door open and close or engine sound push always repeat again and again, with the word "ALRIGHT" too.... but I admit it's very detail, somehow like repeating an autopsy. Please make some change... Thanks for effort anyway.
Thanks for your kind, hopefully make some change, make it more relax and fun or shorter smarter, maybe cut short those control panel functions, will continue support you.
dr 70194 no. It's of high quality. The materials used in the interiors are of great quality. It feels quite premium actually when you touch it. The suspension is so comfortable and the tech is also top-notch.
Leo Chan hi sir, for me the buttons are plastic and moves sideways, the gear stick also looks plastic, the airvents are also looks cheap and the design is not plain. İts very complicated style to be a premium car for my point of view. You can like it also.
dr 70194 Before you make such conclusions, have you experienced it yourself to touch and feel the interior? Or are you just seeing the car from youtube? You have to experience it yourself, you'll see that the interior doesn't feel cheap at all. Peugeot's build quality has improved a lot, they can even closely rival German premium trios (Audi, Merc, BMW) build quality now, which is not a surprise because Peugeot is actually the parent company of Faurecia (Faurecia is a French automotive company who builds and develops the interiors for the German premium trio). So through the expertise of their own filiale Faurecia, Peugeot now tries to up their game in build quality. After all, the German premium trio owes their superior interior quality to the French company Faurecia.
No not really. You'll have to experience one for yourself to come to such conclusions if you haven't already. The quality is way better than the first gen 3008 which felt more low rent and plasticky on the inside. The new one feels more solidly put together, with the combination of materials used makes it more premium. The new 3008 somewhat has a more 'German' feel throughout the car now.

easily one of the best looking suv's right now
I'd prefer the looks of the Opel/Vauxhall Grandland X (which is based on the 3008) if I were to be comparing compact crossover SUVs, but to me the best looking crossover SUV right now has to be Alfa Romeo Stelvio.
you must not have seen the dodge durango srt then :)
Not that great looking to be honest. I'd prefer the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk over the Durango SRT, but overall IMO the Stelvio is still the best crossover, design wise.
This is the most thorough review of this car on utube in my opinion, very welcome as I am thinking of buying one. Thank you.
Nice review! Keen to see 5008 also in SE Asia 😉
These new 3008s will be a fantastic buy in the second hand market 4-5 years from now when they are worth only half their value.
I'll be waiting.
You can get a 2018 one with only 4K miles for 11k
11k pounds
Looks brand new!
Loved your in depth review. Many thanks.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for uploading this Video!!:)
Thanks for watching!
Nice detailed walkthrough review. Thanks. Can you do a driving test review also for the same vehicle?
I Love everything about this car EXCEPT for the interface of the touch screen monitor ..
Please ! The engine is equiped with chaine or belt transmission ?
Can you review the 5008 please? 😊
Alex please do a statup for inova and sienta and also gopro drive
Did this 3008 aircond fan sound louder like Puretech 208? How the handling? I am very sceptical about engine realibility and after sales service
Nope. It is quite quiet. I think the handling is great for a car of this size. I have a 2016 308 THP for about 14 months now, and the car has been pretty reliable so far. The service centre I go to have been quite pleasant as well.
alexlovesmac thanks a lot...keep up the good work bro
so you fot the optional leather seats?

What is that red warning light on the left hand side of the dashboard
I need with sunroof, it is possible to supply with sunroof?
Very nicely priced and adequately specced. But reliability is still a concern. Same goes for the VW tiguan and passat.
The new generation models are fairly reliable compared to the older ones.
what is the lever for under the steering wheel in your video around 18:00
As mentioned in the video, that's to adjust the steering wheel position.
as in adjust the steering whell upward or downward?
Yes.
what is the thing that you pulled in 5:12 and does this 3008 come with blind spot indication?
Jun Jie to open the hood
Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching.
Basil Fabian ;
why arent these exported to the us again
waiting ur new CX-5 review. good video
Lim Sen it’s such a cool car. I had one in my local shopping mall. Much nicer than the previous one.
Can you help me to advice how to connect navigation because i had downloaded android auto but it's not connecting with usb cable also
As far as I know, you'll just have to connect your phone via USB. You do not need to download anything as Android Auto comes as standard with the car.
ansh mishra there are 2 good peugeot apps to help you with your new Peugeot, mypeugeot app and scan mypeugeot app :)
When will you be doing a start up and tour of your 308?
The video should be up in two days time on 28/10.
doesnt the boot hatch have auto close as standard ? Missed out ?
No. The rear hatch does not have a powered feature as standard.
Does the allure model got blind spot monitor or active emergency brake?
Depends on where you're located, but not for Malaysia.
Only LED sequential turn signals for the front? I thought all round like the newer Audi’s.
No. Only for the front.
Sadly, this car doesn't feature power tailgate in Malaysia even though you get the highest spec one.

Nice one!
Sad it has only front wheel drive.
I wish it come with 4 wheel drive which is necessary for offroad drive!
Thank you.
ruschat ruschat the AWD hybrid will come by 2019
Great video thank you
Thanks for watching!
Please do a 2017 Honda crv review also. It's this or the Honda crv
Will try.
Is it has password or fingerprint for unlock door without key?
As mentioned in the video, you need the key fob on yourself to lock/unlock the car via the door handle.
the first 3008 went on sale in 2009, not 2008. good video though 👍👍👍
Alex Smith Thanks for the heads up! I guess I was too engrossed in saying eight.. hahaha. Thank you for watching!

Peugeot 3008 is nice
My first car was a peugeot and i really like this car. I will never buy it tough. The previous model was the most unreliable car in my country in 2016.

Peugeot Malaysia suck , 2017 3008 should come with powered tailgate and panoramic roof la ....... it’s look like a cheap car 🚗 without those feature

Butterworth? Like Mrs Buttersworth?
Who?
This cars interior is cheap
