I think shop owners are free to price stuff at whatever they want. The market decides in other words shoppers will buy or they won’t. The shop owner will survive, thrive or close. It is not my concern. Obviously we all enjoy paying lower prices but they are free to make their own business decisions. Thank you for teaching us all so much.

    • @TheAntiqueNomad

That is true! Dealers have to judge their own market and decide how to price.

I adore the 3D artwork. I have a large (42 or 45) inch horse farm 3D art plus a lil smaller of man and woman taken a horse drawn buggy ride in the snow. It's quite a task keeping them as clean as I like,so now I only use for holidays or summer time decor. I'm so glad you grabbed that one. I'd hate to see someone's work hit the landfill. Be heartbreaking for me. My grandmother or maybe it was her sister did one of the two I own. The other was thrifted. Thank you for sharing this one. I never see this type work anymore.

I have a lot of cast iron cauldrons, Dutch ovens, pots and pans, grills, griddles, wafer presses and cornbread muffin trays in oval and sleeping cat patterns. I need to restore and season a number of them. I also have various utensils and tripod adjustable spits and S hooks that were Blacksmith made…and Dutch ovens. I still use most of them, and all my other cooking and baking is done in clay or cast iron…it’s the best. I will never stop using them. I still have some Pyrex pie plates, cake pans, and casseroles used by my Grandmother, which I still use today…the most interesting pie dish is a moonstone pale blue translucent., and has a metal serving stand…I love it. No aluminum, steel, or plastic in my kitchen, and never will be. My terracotta bread loaf pan and my cast iron one are the best I have ever used.🖤🇨🇦

I'm with you on the "it's listed on Ebay for______". Drives me nuts. What most people don't do is bother to check what an item actually "sold" for on Ebay. They also rarely look at the item they want to sell with a critical eye for things such as wear, damage, maker or manufacturer, etc, etc. Subtle differences in items can mean huge differences either way in somethings end value.

The Mother-in-Law plaque would be suitable for mine, (if she was into those kind of things)…we have a great relationship…as my husband did with my Mother. Some of us do get lucky…and we were even able to travel internationally with each of them on separate occasions while they were healthy enough to still handle such travel, and all had great stress free vacations…creating wonderful photos and memories to last a lifetime. I know you are joking, but our Mums welcomed our chosen mate into their Families from almost the start…as soon as they knew we were serious. And all our various Siblings did too, we were fortunate, but I could do a better statement.🖤🇨🇦

Had a flashback from one of the items in this video. My folks had an ultraviolet comb we were allowed to play with as kids. (Although the piece was older, this was 1960's.) Haven't thought about that for years! It gave small shocks on our scalp. I was probably 10 years old at most, plugging it in... shocking my 8 year old brother, etc. I'm sure my mom thought, "If it entertains them for five minutes, hallelujah."
