This is not for us chile. This is for the gworls with type 2 to 3a hair. Tia saying “let black hair be black hair” and then showing hair that looks like wet body wave bundles was all I needed to see 😂.
You ain’t wrong 🤣🤣
I noticed that Sodium Chloride was an ingredient featured in almost all of her hair products. That could be what attributed to the hair feeling dry.
@@goodmusiq3539hello! Coming from a cosmetic chemistry student. Sodium chloride is a thickening agent for aqueous solutions in cosmetics. Sodium chloride is not clinically linked to causing dryer hair. Now, if you are allergic to the ingredient then yeah it will cause problems for you. Other than that, it is safe to use.
Tia & Tamera are mixed.I guess her hair products for mixed people
Exactly! Let stop pretending that there's no difference between mixed hair and black hair. Her hair would be closer to permed hair. "Black hair" don't fall and swing otherwise. It does a global disservice to black hair for Tia to say what she is saying in that commercial and pass her self off as having typically black hair. We're looking for understanding and relevant products not misrepresentation.
What I’m taking from this is to apply it to DAMPPPPP hair! 😂
I’m waiting on your review now boo boo.
🗣️ BECAUSE Y’ALL NOT GONE WORRY ME ABOUT ADDING NO WATER LMAO!
P.S. - Thanks for watching!🤣🤣🤣
Or soaking wet.
@@Neosoul_prima oh I agree! I apply to wet hair. I was laughing at how she emphasized the instructions saying “damp” in this video lol
@@TressesOfAlexis no problem boo! I even clicked the ads cause…Adsense lol
Tia used to have tight 3a/b curly hair. The damage that was done to her hair she will never see those same curls again. Tamara has retained more of her natural curl.
Yes from what I see tia uses heat a bit for her Protective styles which seems counterproductive. Tamera curls seem more intact. If I have thick 4 whatever curls and can stretch without heat just banding to do my knotless she surely can.
Points were made.
Their hair has not been the same since Sister Sister when they came back with straight hair. They never wore it curly again after that
Thanks for the review and seeing it through Sis! I would’ve stopped when the conditioner began to re-tangle my detangled hair ❤
@Trinity M You can compromise your natural curl pattern and density with chemicals and straighting and certain protective styling. You are breaking down bonds in the hair that can be irreversible and damaging hair follicles that may not ever grow back.
the only thing worse than wasted money is wasted time, coupled with unfulfilled promises. sorry girl. thank your for your service and sacrifice 😋
😄
🤣🤣 Thanke Melle!
I agree nothing worse than spending your hard earned money and time (neither of which you can get back) and the products do meet expectations.
I swear if I bought this and paid by credo card I would have tried to do a charge back reason being products didn’t do what it promised 😂
This comment just changed my life.
I’m am too ticked at the fact that you and SheRae got the exact same results and ended up with the same cute, cute bun! 😊 Thanks for sharing your results and thoughts. Looks like I’ll be passing on this line.
Thank you!
I swear i said the samething
Girl. All the textures of these products are giving 2C to 2C and a half. Honestly. And I’m upset because I really love them.
2C and a half is crazyyyyy 🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
I bought the leave in and my type 4 hair absolutely loves it. My hair is fine and low porosity so I need leave ins that aren’t too heavy. I took the excess water out of my hair before applying. I always do that regardless of directions because I know MY hair.
For me, it's kind of a red flag when the shampoo is the best product in the line. It's gonna be a no for me 😶🌫️
😩 Thanks for watching Ashley!
I only bought the shampoo well
Like SheRea. you took one for the team!!!*closes purse*
Haha! Thanks for watching.
You just saved me sis!!! I for sho had the whole line in my cart. Then I noticed the women using the product on her page didn’t have coily hair. Nuff said. You answered my questions and saved my coins.
Hey girl, I'm new to the natural hair journey and your review was priceless! I saw the 4U booth at Essence fest and was actually considering it so thankfully I found your channel!! I'll be passing on this one and am now subscribed for more honest, helpful videos.
It was the ***DAAAAMMMMP*** for me lol🤣🤣🤣🤣 Tia could’ve just said her line was for biracial people. Thanks for the amazing and honest review!!!😍😍😍
@Trinity M exactly!
@@GivebackthescarfYeah but we’re not in Ethiopia/East Africa. Tia’s products are being marketed in America, where most blk ppl are of WEST African descent. Most Ppl of West African decent have type 4 hair. “Black” people of west African origin, in America, with Tia’s hair type, are in the extreme minority & usually are biracial or multi generationally mixed. Let’s not be obtuse.
It was your face for me. 😂😂 This is why I love your channel cause you keep it 💯. Thanks for the honesty ❤❤
I appreciate that. Thank you for watching.
Thanks for the review ! Saw Tia on the J Hud Show with the products Wish her well! She seems like the type that will get it right
Thanks for watching.
Yeeeaaaa, no.....4U isnt for 4 type hair. 🤣 I think it's the same for Tracee Ellis Ross' line. They're products are definitely formulated for a looser, finer textured hair, mainly biracial women. They created those brands with their own personal backgrounds in mind. I saw her line in Walmart, but was only attracted to the serum. I think I kind knew the line itself, wasn't for us.
You are so respectful intelligent when talking about a subject that is a bit sensitive and I really respect that from you. ❤
"Braid out, Twist Out, It's FLAKED OUT!"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
She’s very rude 🤣
Your reviews are always honest and you have saved me lots of coins over the years ….thank you sis truth!
Happy to help!
Dam! I hate when products don’t penetrate. I feel like I’m not getting my money’s worth. I love your honesty in every hair review. I love the definition tho.
Thanks!
Thank you girl. We not here for the crusty flakes 🤦🏾♀️ I appreciate your testing them out. Great video 🙂
Thanks for watching!
This was NOT a hair product review, this was a comedy review! You my friend are hilarious😂
Love this review! Thanks for sharing!
Glad it was helpful!
4c hair and I’m loving the oil and the spray. I didn’t buy shampoo or conditioner as I just don’t care to change from what I have, but the styling/care products are rocking my world right now. Love 😍
Yes, I’ve heard the spray and oil are really great! Love to see it!
My daughter has mixed hair like Tia and these products work on her but not mine I laughed so hard, she needed to say if you have mixed hair meaning leaning on the white side, nothing personal but just straight facts!
I’m not part white and my hair is like that 🤔
I don't have mixed hair, but I do have "good" and finally have a product that doesn't feel like grease on my hair. My curly hair is natural hair
Agreed. Mixed hair isn’t a thing and the letter curl chart isn’t as important as knowing the essential elements of your hair. Knowing your texture, surface texture, density etc is a better way to explain and define your hair. Basically it’s looking like this product is better if your hair is more silky, with a looser curl. If your hair is more course it may not give you the results your seeking
@@erinnicole5871 very true.
Great and honest review!
Thanks Eva 💙💙
Idk why you emphasizing damp cause people gonna still find a way to say the results were your fault 😂😂😂
You’re not wrong 🤣
Okay shampoo 👏🏾👏🏾😍 I figured the moisturizing shampoo would be a better choice than the clarifying one. But that conditioner 🫤
That braid out was gonna be 🔥🔥 if it didn’t flake
Nah fr!!!
As they used to say - Whew, that'll do it. You don't have to worry about me. You do not have to worry about me! I'm at the stage where I'm more interested in the performance of conditioners and stylers, but cheers to a shampoo with slip!
I agree with Tia’s sentiment and it needs to be said because natural black hair is still stigmatized as unprofessional, messy, etc. ❤
Tia’s loose silky hair type is much more widely accepted by other ethnicities. Even in the black community. Type 4 is what’s seen as unkempt and “unacceptable”. Let’s not fool ourselves.
This is the second video I have watched today on Tia's products with a similar review and hairstyle lmao
🤣🤣
This would be ego damaging for someone like me who dont know any better and just in the learning stages of hair!!! Thank you for this.
Thank you for your review! I did apply to soaking wet hair. I used her spray and I used the Melanin Hair Care Oil for the LOC method. Even after drying my hair is still super soft and moisturized. I do love her Moisturizing conditioner, it really detangled my hair. I did detangle in the shower with a wife tooth comb. I think overall her products are clean and are good but for 4c hair we need a certain technique to get our desired result. Btw. I have different textures but mostly tight curls.
No ma’am that leave-in 🚩🚩🚩after that first braid I knew you had regrets 😂😂
Immediately 🤣
You gave it your all❤❤
I really really did 😭
Thanks for sharing friend. Crazy we had the same results and review lol
👯♀️
You are a real one in these honest review streets and boulevards because I ain't buying A MF THING from anybody from the type 2 and early 3 crew lol. The movement was not for them but they damn sure raked in the most cash. Meanwhile, I CRINGED seeing all that shit just sitting on top my good sis hair😐
Early 3 is sendinggggg 🤣🤣
Why is Tia doing the duck lips in her commercial? LOL Sometimes your expressions crack me up while you're doing this! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching.
not me looking around my room trying to figure out what that sound was when you rinsed out the shampoo haha i enjoyed that product too
I was gonna spend my money and try the conditioner, I think Ima save my coins. Thanks sis.
You’re welcome 😊
Word of the day: DAMP!!!! 😂😂😂😂
Yea so that’s a NO on the conditioner & styling products! Thank you so much for the review! 🥰
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching.
I didn’t even know about this line 😳
hi alexis 🤗
after watching your other video on this product line, i think you presented a very fair demo and review. you liked the shampoo, but the rest of the wash day products didn't work for you. i didn't see/hear any bashing or trashing - just your honest thoughts on how these hair products performed on your strands.
i understand the marketing aspect is different from a demo & review, but both videos were ok imho.
but again, what do i know...im just an old school head of hair in this community 🤣😂 tfs
Lol, It was snowing in Baltimore, huh? I have a sister who could benefit from this product. We always said that she was the milkmans child. Thanks for the review. Not that right now anything that comes out can get me away from my TreLuxe products. Have a great day
It's the way you emphasize the word “DAMP!.... DAMP HAIR!” 😂😂😂 For me.
I think reverse wash might work better for you with this product. Condition first, then shampoo.
Thanks for sharing and trying the products. I love Tia, but I knew not to waste my coins. Tia has typical biracial type 3 hair. I knew this would not work on my type 4 hair without trying it. These products are definitely for the type 3 girlies.
I like the products they have done wonders for me. Smells great also.
Alexis.. thank you for this Honest review 🥰💙.. I’m not sure about this one 🤔
Me neither lol!
I just used that moisturizing shampoo and it was great just like you mentioned
It's "flake out🎉" ! i sub 💁🏽♀️❤
I appreciate you for demonstrating Tia Maury 4U hair products, thank you. I don't think her line is for my tight curl pattern.
Thanks for sharing, your skin is beautiful though!!
Thank you so much
I like Tia , but I was not going near her hair products. At least tracee made a collection for various textures including coils, kinky hair textures.
In her list of black women I noticed she didn’t name her twin. I think deep down she knows she’s got biracial hair.
Interesting theory. I hadn't considered that a possibility before.
I don’t believe there are any products that work specifically for black hair. At least in my experience. I have 3C/4A hair and none of the brands that are marketed for black hair work for my hair. Aussie, Pantene, Dove and Suave have worked the best for my hair. Also, that’s not Tia’s natural hair texture. Anyone that watched Sister Sister know they both had tight curls when they were younger.
I thought I was the only one, I have the same texture and none of these black hair products be delivering what they promised 😭
SAME!!! I am not biracial and I have type 3 hair and I have wasted sooooo much money on "black hair products" that did not work. 😢 So me getting the 4U bundle for $56 for like 5 products was a win for me. At this point I don't have high hopes for any products despite the reviews. I just have to try it. So I ordered it..we shall see....can't be any worse than anything else I have tried.
When I tell you that I was cracking up during this review. DAMP DAMP HAIR 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yet and still people telling me water is the answer lol
Ive been natural for 3 years and im still trying to find the right fit for me .
OH NO NOT FLAKES! I’ve only ever had this happen that bad once. I am too a try these but this makes me nervous, especially since you DAMP HAIR🤣😂😹
The bun is cute😅
Thank you for the review💚
Thanks for watching.
My coins are safe this time! You may have had a nice looking result if it wasn't for the flaking. But dry is never good. 😬
Yes! The definition was so good!
As always tysm for an honest review. Also-because I love mess-Tamera posted her curly style routine and the products she uses right before 4UByTia went on sale, but did not post her sister’s line. I cackled 😆😆😜
😂 Thanks!
Wowza that is saying something!!
She did post her sister's line on her Instagram.
Thanks not order this😮
I appreciate your honesty. I have hair more like yours, you have saved me $$. THANKS! 11:51
Thanks for the video ❤💋💋
Thanks for watching!
"It's flaked out!"🤣🤣🤣
Awww naw, I'm hurt....all that darn work gone down the drain...😭 TFS
Tell me about it lol!
the leave in worked for my hair and i’m 4b/4c. i think it helps to use a clarifying or sulfate shampoo with it for the best result
Plenty people clarified and it still flaked. Glad it worked for you.
I have 4c hair. I did a wash and go. I used the clarifying shampoo, moisturizing shampoo and then the moisturizing conditioner (left it in 10 mins). my hair was very soft and I didn’t have any breakage when I combed it through. Afterwards I used a diff brand of light weight oil on my scalp and a diff brand lightweight curl cream for my wash and go. But it actually did good on my hair. And my hair is thick thick thick. Water rolls off of it 😂.
I’m sorry, did you say…DAMP?!?!? 😂 I love your videos!
the "flaked out" took me outttttt🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣
Some good points in the comments & now not sure. My kids are half Black, half Hispanic. My oldest has 3C/4C low porosity, dry hair. At this point products and water just sit on hair. I don't know what to get since it's not entirely black hair. I know avocado, Aloe Vera, & honey do not work on his hair.
Smh yeahhhhhh I'm pretty sure us type 4 women could use these products, but I'm sure it's not a top pick for us. I honestly feel the same way about the Mielle curl cream and custard. I don't know which one makes it crunchy, but I hate it and it smells so good 🫠🤣
I appreciate the effort, especially the pricing, but this line will be a no for me. Thanks for your honest and positive review.
Thanks for watching!
Sad, but I never considered using her product. She’s always trying to get into a new market, but hair isn’t her market.
Thank you for watching.
Thanks for your review...I'll pass on it😫😳. I haven't had flakes for over 10 years😂😂
How does it feel being God’s favorite 🤣🤣
is no one going to mention the radiance that is her skin?
First time seeing you as I'm really not a you tube watcher. But I found you to be throughly honest about the product. My question was actually can this product be used on Caucasian hair. My hair is naturally waves, but has become dry, brittle and frizzy. Nothing I use seems to have a lasting impact after day one. So thank you and I will actually look you up from time to time.
I'm glad the shampoo was decent. The definition in your takedown was amazing but those flakes, gee whiz.
It's a NO for me. Thanks for taking one for the team. 🫶🏾
Definition was undeniable! But no 💙
So what you’re saying is the directions specify to put the product on DAMP hair?
because somebody gonna say to add water and we finally “followed directions” 😂😂
Video just went live and already somebody said to add water 🤣🤣. Thanks for watching!
@@TressesOfAlexis good gravy if you haven’t t said a zillion times “I prefer styling on damp hair, it’s what works for me”, therefore, even if I would think it would work better with more water I’d NEVER say that to you, cause that’s not what works for you, it would just be rude to say that.
Phew after watching you and Sherea, that gel is ghetto. 😂 I’m sorry both y’all ended up in a bun.
at least the buns were cute 😂
😩😩 Thank you!
Sis I would love to send you some of my products, I think you would really enjoy the leave-in and deep conditioner, even my hair butter for a braid out
Yeah, when I saw her hair WET, it told me she does NOT have truly kinky curly hair and I can see why her products did not work. Glad to know and I will not be buying them for my 4C/D hair. That would be a waste of time. Thank you!!
Dang, I wanted to see how you did that bun 😂
I heard so many bad things about her line for the kinkier textures. I have 4b texture and I had hopes for this, but now I'll stay away🙅🏽♀️
I'm wondering how it would work for 3C hair, I'm mixed but my hair is definitely a lot thicker and tighter than Tia's hair.
TPH figured it out. Never get flakes with her gel in the yellow bottle.
I wish I had’ve watched your video sooner. I purchased the clarifying shampoo & lightweight conditioner which did ok on my hair, but the curl defining gel created these massive flakes. I will have to return it to the store….I was excited to use this product but it’s not for type 4 hair.
The shampoo was on clearance at my local Walmart for $3 bucks so I'm glad I picked it up. I was hesitant to get it, but I'm glad I did. I wanted the conditioner cause that's my favorite part of wash day, but I'm glad I didn't see it now 😂
shampoo is really all you need from this line, respectfully lol!
Not Tia with a product line...chyyy I feel like folks just throwing ish in a bottle ..🤣🤣
Money makes the world go round 🤷🏽♀️
Com' on now y'all 🤷 We all know that Tia is biracial. 🤷 When I heard her advertising this, she kept saying it was for "Curly, Textured" hair. I never heard her say it was for Natural hair and it seemed she was being careful not to use the word, "Natural." I knew right away that she was speaking of HER type of hair (a blend of very fine textured from her Dad and hair from her mom, who we know is African American). We obviously see how fine Tia's hair is, the fine texture is her dominant. Most of us or many of us have likely seen her Mom's hair as well. Y'all really thought that she was creating something for all types of Natural hair??? 🤦She talked about how hard it was to find products for HER hair. I figured she was creating something for hair that's like hers.
🤭Y'all going In on our Sista-Siiissssta ☺️. Danggggggggg 🥴😶🌫️ I just don't think she was being deceitful. I don't think that's in her personality. 🤔🥺🥺 All of us Natural hair girlies know how hard it is to find something that REALLY works well for our hair, no one has created anything yet, Tia sure wouldn't be the one to do it either.🤷
Ease up, Ladies. ❤️☺️ Y'all don't believe Tia is like that, right?🥺
🥀
Had to check out your videos after I seen my Girl #Faye who mentioned U & your reviews in 1 of her videos. 😇
Thank you for watching 💙
@@TressesOfAlexis,
Wlcm 💯
I’m so glad you did this video! Cause baby!!! I had product just sitting in my hair.. it was hard to even re wet my hair with the gel!
It’s a no!
Tia and tamara are biracial so of course her hair is not for a 3-4 type. Im cubanrican with curly hair and I cant wait to try this product
Not mama tresses saying it’s a flake out 😂😂😂😂😂😂
She doesn’t respect me LMAO!
Now wait a minute, did they not test this before sending it to market? Seriously in 2023?
I just -
Couldn’t have
Of course, blonde, red, and black hair all tested well with this line 😂
Not ashy flakey! It's flaked out! Lol! Thanks for the review. I know that this not for me.
Thanks for watching!
I wish I seen this video before I purchased. Cuz BayBee!!! My hair is sooooo dry and hard. I have to remember products created by biracial women or looser curled women, will not be for me. Type 4b/c, low porosity, transitioning
I would expect it to work best on hair similar to hers.
Then their website should say that.
I had to move my phone away frm my face. Whew chile the flakes have entered the chat
🤣🤣
How do you style your bun?
I’ll try to share in a future video 😉
