Smh. I genuinely hate when people try to diminish and or discredit a serious situation just because they feel some type of way, or they have to prove to complete strangers that they one of the good ones, as if their feelings are more important than what the actual victims went through.
Do you really think that matters when children are commonly faced with situations like this? Do you think the victims case that "not all step parents are evil"? You're in your feelings like they're more important than the safety and wellbeing of these children. Smh. Grow up, man. Children are being abused all the time by step fathers. Just because you and a few others are decent, doesn't mean it's not that bad, and it definitely doesn't give you the right to try and diminish nor discredit them just because you feel some type of way. We know it's not all of y'all, but that does not change the fact that it's a lot and these children are the victims. NOT YOU.
Then your name is "dirty Davis." You can't make this shit up.
"According to some studies, children living with stepparents are more likely to experience abuse than those living with biological parents:
      Physical abuse
One study found that 34% of children living with stepfathers reported physical abuse, compared to 17.6% of children living with biological fathers.
      Maltreatment
Another study found that maltreatment was most common in homes with a stepfather or boyfriend, with 80% of cases occurring before age 4.
      Cinderella effect
Evolutionary psychology describes this phenomenon as the higher incidence of abuse and mistreatment by stepparents, named after the fairy tale character Cinderella who is mistreated by her stepmother and stepsisters."

Idk man. There needs to be a charge for negligence and not being forthcoming with the truth.

He's saying he'll do whatever and work through the b.s to keep his family together, which is a GREAT thing. That's what a family should look like. If more men and women were willing to step up and actually care about keeping their family together, these types of situations would happen less often. All abuse is terrible and anyone in an abusive relationship should get out. But the #1 cause of divorce is not abuse, it's infidelity & financial problems. Calling it quits shouldn't be the first response to issues. Divorce is SAD and kids SUFFER because of their parents selfishness. I commend anyone who has the determination to step outside of themselves and fight for the better good of their family.

Did you catch the mother saying "I guess so" when the officer asked if that was the apartment complex the ex-step-father lived in, where he took the 2 kids? It was odd for her to not be more sure of where she allowed her kids to go. Some mothers would've insisted on dropping off the kids herself AT THE DOOR to make sure where her kids would be - and also meeting the other adults who lived or stayed there.

Once the monster said that the older brother couldn’t go w them, then Breesia shouldn’t have gone either!! He wanted to isolate her from the older brother because he planned this from jump! He didn’t care one bit about seeing his son…he wanted that girl! Mothers you have GOT to have discernment when dealing with people when it comes to your children because that would’ve sent my spidey senses into overdrive seeing that he did indeed have room in his car for the 13 year old! I would’ve been like, if they all can’t go then you just take your son with you

Knowing he was a registered offender 2.) Just entering their lives after being absent. What's left out is even the grandmother told the kids no! That is a SICK man and Andrea his girlfriend could of saved her life when she seen her standing outside in that big shirt by his car before dawn. She could have told the officer that came in checking her apartment. If you watch the trial DL is a very key witness and told everything!! Great job DL; you are your sister's hero! In the uk, most rape cases don’t even make it to court. If they fall into the less than one per cent of cases that end in charges then perpetrators usually serve half a micro sentence and are out in a couple of years. It’s a system for men, by men and that horror of a man would be out in 10 years here for what he’s done. At least he’s locked up in the states. I'm a little confused about Henery's girlfriend Andrea saying that she was sick to her stomach when she got up in the night and Henery and Breasia were not there. Then Andrea said she was relieved when Henery returned, and she saw Breasia standing outside. Andrea does'nt bother to ask Henery why Breasia is with him in the middle of the night? What else is disturbing was the following morning when the police were there, Andrea never came outside as a concerned girlfriend, and Breasia was supposed to be staying overnight at her home. When the officer spoke to her at the door, she was reluctant to let him in, and she was looking around to see where Henery was before letting the officer inside. Andrea was so reluctant about the officer coming in that she tried using a messy apartment for an excuse for him not to enter. Her apartment looked fine, with the exception of things on the bed. I think Andrea knew Breasia was dead because she never once told the officer about Henery being out in the middle of the night with Breasia and him returning back to the apartment without her. DL had gone to bed around midnight, but it was said that he was fully awake and aware of his father getting Breasia to go with him and both of them leaving the room. D L never told the officer anything that he knew. When the officer first arrived to Henery's girlfriend's residence D L and his father were just walking towards the officer and the officer asked Henery when was the last time he saw Breasia and he of cause lied. The officer asked D L the same question that he asked his father, and he said in bed they slept in the same bed. D L never once told the policeman that his father came into the bedroom and woke Breasia, and they left in the night. I was shocked about the mother, Aisha. Even if she was mad at her ex- boyfriend, Aisha gets in her car and leaves the officer, the one who is trying to gather up information about her daughter Breasia, so they can get going on finding her. I can't imagine having a missing child and not doing everything you can that could help to find her. What about Henery's history was'nt Aisha aware that Henery was registering as a sex offender when they were living together for approximately 2 1/2 to 3 years? It seems odd for Aisha not to have known about Henery's background. If Aisha was'nt aware of Henery's background because he might have hid it from her. I don't know, but, too often, stepfathers or boyfriends are child predators, and Aisha undoubtedly left Breasia alone with Henery more than once. I grew up with a stepfather and 3 sisters and 1 brother, and not one of us was sexually abused. We had an A 1 stepfather. My point is that not all stepfathers or biological fathers are perverts. Henery could have done this back when he and Aisha were together, but he probably had either more control over himself or he did'nt dare to do it. Henery found himself a better opportunity than when he was living with Aisha, so he acted on it. I think Breasia went through hell with that big sick ox at her. I feel so badly for the amount of pain that she must have gone through because of thst dick basterd. He is so creepy looking, and he had the nerve to suggest that he was wrongly convicted because of his skin color. That's what this desperate sick idiot would say, but no one was buying it. There was so much effidence that clearly made him the rightful charged and convicted of 1st degree murder. Everything added up to Henery and nobody else. Baby girl, you're safe now. Sad that your family failed you so badly that you lost your life at such a young age. It's comforting now knowing that you're safe now, and you're surrounded by family members of people you may have known in life and for sure relatives who you never knew in life but you do now. You're surrounded with love always. 🙏 God bless your little soul, Breasia.

Knowing my mother left me at 10 years old and never meeting my father, they knew how hard it would be once I understood my situation. But they always told me, “don’t let anything that happens in life, affect your future goals”. They were so proud of me when I told them I am now a Chef, and was having my own son at 18.
