My dodge had the same errors and think I needed a new pcm. After days of check relays and fuses In the fuse and relay box under hood on drivers side. I traced wires every where . Nothing I did fixed the problem. Finally I found a complete wiring diagram on the internet and I traced wires for the asd relay back to the junction box in the cab on drivers side of dash. In there there is 2 fuses that run power out to asd plug and a couple others I checked these fuses and both were bad. I replaced them and after that the cumunication error went away and truck started up. So make sure you check all fuses before going out and buying a new pcm or ecm

Thats not how you diagnose this problem at all... I am not trying to be a dick, but you don't know what you are doing. This is how you solve a no bus. First off, you can't correctly diagnose this problem without a scope. Secondly you need a computer data lines wiring diagram. You hook up a scope to the pci bus and watch the scope. Should see a 0-7 volt square wave. If the pattern looks bad, you have a problem, which we already know you do. Next, you disconnect one at a time any module on the pci bus. Once you see your square wave return to normal, you have found the module that brought the bus system down. Merely guessing that you need a new engine controller is not the correct way to do this. If its not that, then you just keep guessing. You don't have to guess if you can use a scope and diagram

You might have had a bad PCM, or the problem could have been been caused by many other causes other than the PCM. You really needed to check power supply, grounds and communication bus to the PCM before you could know if the PCM was faulty

so apparently for me I looked at the PCM and just fit it on better and the problem went away.... so even just the pcm not slightly locked in was causing all this. Went for a hour drive after i was able to lock it in properly and the truck was fine. Had the Wife look at the dash board at the same time while I was messing with the cables that go into the pcm and she noticed when i was fidling with it the NO BUS was showing up and the glitching, then when I figured out how to use the red handle (if yall know what I mean, the two cable assemblies that go into the PCM) I was able to tighten the assembly into the pcm properly and the problem went away. Hope this helps yall! because at first I was checking all my wiring so maybe this is a good 1st step too look at for those who cant seem to find the issue. My ram is a 2015 1500. Cheers again for this video.

Karla Brewster there’s a screw holding the main harness in the fuse box , on the older ones that causes spastic behavior, tighten it and see if it goes away , I had a no bus code also, did that and fixed it
