It’s just that there is no Russian national hockey team at the World Championships. The Finns are weak opponents; Canada broke them in the Power Game. Without Soviet and Russian hockey, only Popcorn lovers can watch World Hockey.
Oli kyllä Suomen pakeilta löysä esitys
Canada as well. Our team is not very good this year. We’ve had too many good players that are locked up in the NHL playoffs, or just didn’t want to come play. Very mediocre team this time around, I’ll be mildly surprised if we win gold.
@@JesusFriedChrist Despite Canada have a complete NHL-Team. Finland doesn t even the best european there. LOL
Canada 🇨🇦 congratulations 🍾 best game best team
I love how Gord Miller calls Mercer's goal like there might be some doubt to him tapping it in the open net. C'mon Gord, don't be a tool.
LET'S GO!!!! 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 🇨🇦
Finland should probably be in the Division 3. Finland is just too small of a country to get any proper amount of decent players.
Mate, Finland has won the won the world championships twice in the past five years as well as Olympic gold.
I’m watching Tavares play in these worlds and I’m seeing a passion that seems missing when he plays for the leafs. I wonder if his leafs experience is wearing a little thin?
Tavares has the most International ice experience than any other Canadian Player on this team. Hence why he is here as Captain.
Well done Canada all to way 🏆
well, finally we start to see some depth in the Cda team. 1st time I see Tavares play a solid game. 1st time see Bennington save. where was Bedard? Cda was lucky for goal #2. Cda needs to focus upon defence; it is still like a Swiss cheese, soft and full of holes. when will we see Cda play to potential for a full 60 minutes? much improvement needed to win gold.
Almost lost to puljujarvi 😂😂😂
Puljujarvi is a different player when he plays for Finland wth
Rough start but good finish(pun intended). Game finally went our way once we lit a fire under our asses. Lets not start like this again though lol.
”The puck completely crosses the goal line, we have a good goal”, I still view a clear goalie interference…
Learn the rules......
Where? Is it interference when the goalie puts it in the goal himself? Herää nyt
@@juto8809 I don't know why would I bother replying to a guy like you in the first place, but whatever, here we go: If you watch the slow-motion at 1:17, you can clearly see the Canadian player #13 touching and therefore pushing the Finnish goalie towards the net, which for sure disturbed him.

Agree with you. A high bitrate is more important than a higher resolution than 720 for fast moving videos.

Marner refused, he's to good to play for his Country.
So did Crosby and a bunch of others. Who cares.
Is Binnington really the best Canada could do for a starter?
Bear in mind that most canadian pro players do not have canadian agents, and also they play within the constraints of contract stipulations. Off-season injury risk, for example, is a definite consideration. Agents would rather see their clients playing golf btn seasons. Pickle-ball is just playing with fire.
Canada has other goalies, but most of them are not here. Either busy with Playoffs or have chosen not to come. The defense so far for Canada has been lacking but remember these players rarely play together or not at all. Chemistry is everything. Powers is trying to prove himself for a spot on the Olympic team as he is not prospected to be on Canada's Olympic team. In fact, none of Canada's defense is projected to be on our Olympic team.

Is it me or do the US and Canada just treat this as a European vacation every spring? They never seem to play particularly hard and don’t seem passionate about getting results

And yet Canada has won this (let's face it) Euro-centric tournament over twenty times? I'm just guessing at the actual number... Nobody in Canada knows or cares what the number is... Not Canadian hockey pundits, players, coaches, much less casual fans... Hell's bell's, this 'Euro-thing' is not even seen as a decent consolation prize... It's a chicken dinner and a couple of beers, on the house... That's mighty 'Pale-Ale', compared to drinking champagne out of The Stanley Cup... EH?!
@@berryscott3590 don’t think Canada have won as much as they rightfully should considering they have pound for pound the best players in the world…
My thoughts are that loss doesnt matter as we probably still continue the games and it's only good if we can drop Sweden in the first round already. It was good hockey, just like the game against Czech Republic. Could have been a Finnish win as well. One canadian goal was goalie interference in my books. Empty nets dont count. Finland looked strong and this is a young "small town boys" team compared to what Finland could have on paper. Granlund is the only solid NHL forward right now on the team. Basically you're playing against a Finnish league team that has got Granlund, Määttä, Puljujärvi and Säteri to help them. Considering this, Finland is playing damn well.and will be hungry on the playoffs.
Good game from both teams, only minus was the dirty spear on Puljujärvi. I don't like that kind of dirtyness

Finland look faulty! I m doubt if they could reach the QF. Switzerland ist too strong! And even if the QF is reached, the Swedish team is one size too big. The wrong opponent for a QF.

Win 2:0 and end up losing. Twice already! A coach should leave at the peak of glory, and not when they chase you with dirty rags. The Finns sit on the bench with sad faces and don’t know what to do on the ice. This is the situation, bravo! 100% without medals!
Too many mistakes from Finland
The quality of these videos is disgusting. We are in 2024 and we still got 720p and not even good quality of 720p.
First, they crashed their balls, then tied the game. A bit too dirty, but completely entertaining.
Ok. How can canada possibly end up with 31 penalty minutes (@3:04) in a 60min game without the risk of disqualification?? - You'd think they skated out with shillelaghs instead of hockey sticks! I'm sure there was a fair bit of penalty overlap, but in essence, canada was short-handed ~23secs for every minute of play and yet only gave up 3 goals against FINLAND. And still won. Bettman will *not* be happy! =[
Finns are defending champs!
Olympic Champs. Canada won world's last year.

Binnington did fine today... Nothing he could do on the first goal... Not much chance on the 2nd goal... and the third goal was put straight in by a Finn, after bouncing off the end boards... No chance on that one either... Hells Bells, Binner did better today than the guys in front on him did, collectively... And Canada played their best game vs Finns
