  • DD15 with the fault code or SPN 3556 FMI 18, DOC outlet temp low ( low temp regen). I will take you through some of the steps to resolve this issue and get back on the road. In most cases the temperatures inside the One Box can NOT get hot enough.

    My 3556 code just came up i have the otr device doing a forced regen first. Mu dpf outlet temp got up to 925 my intake and outlet have equalized please advise

    Hello, I saw your video and I’m having an issue with my freightliner. I have code 3556 fmi 1 along with two nox efficiency codes and I’ve done a parked regen and also a low temp regen. I’ve changed the dozer block and the 7th injector and I still get 3556 fmi1

    What’s up man. Great video.
    I’m having the same issue. The code was active for me. I cleaned out the doser and hole and the code went from active to permanent.
    Doc inlet pressure was at about 1.8psi (above allowed spec of 1.16) I performed the DOC face plug cleaning and the pressure dropped down to 1.2psi which is still above spec
    Doser pressure and injection status look good. No exhaust leaks. The DOC inlet temp sensor is new. Do you think I need to run another DOC face cleaning?

      Sorry for the late reply. I recommend to run the truck. Then test after. Don’t recommend doing back to back routines.

      over theroad thank you for watching the video. The software I use is Diagnostic Link, sold through Nexiq. The software is made by Detroit for Detroit engines but only sold through the Nexiq website.

    hello i don't have the software to check exactly what code it's showing. im goin by what it shows on my dash which is spn003556 fmi 18 after treatment injector. would that be the 7th injector or can it be something else?

    Hey dude good video..appreciate where u located man..im been having issues with code 4364/18..for the last 6 months 2 different delarship visits and they cannot fix it for good..last visit they replaced def doser and only work for a few days ..any help..por favor

      This is probably one of the most difficult codes to troubleshoot.
      What year is the truck? How many miles? What else has been done (repairs)?

      Some codes can eventually cause a derate if not attended too. Depends on far you are from home.
      Were you able to make it home?

    quick question my truck want do a regen because it cant see parking break when i try to start regen,no codes for break just says cant start parking break

      Could be the park brake sensor. If you have a Cascadia it is usually located just above the accelerator behind the panel. Check there, could be the plug or sensor.

      @@CarlosDieselElectric well it work i had an air leak on the red and yellow knobs changed that part and changed the sensors and the truck is doing a regen.never thought in a million years an air leak would prevent truck from doing a regen.

    Damn this truck is a nightmare...does this problem happen very often or after 100k miles or less?

      I always start with checking the S-pipe. the carbon build up will can cause blockage and prevent the Diesel Doser Injector from working properly during the regen.

    I just got code SPN 102 FMI 18 on a 2014 frieghtliner Cascadia evolution, 557k miles. The engine De-rated 25%. When I cut the truck off the code on the dash didn’t come up again but the orange engine light is still on. Can you help me out?

      I believe the code is for intake manifold pressure below or low.
      Could’ve the Venturi pipe, the ports on the Venturi are blocked or check the Delta P sensor for soot.
      That is the easiest place to start.

      Have to run a parked regen and see what the numbers are so you know which direction to take. Check the diesel Doser injector for any blockage first.

      The software is available to anyone, you can purchase the annual subscription and use it on as many trucks as you like.

      I use the Standard which does about 90% of what the pro version does

    How does doser block works..?

      The diesel Doser block works when your truck needs to perform a regen (driving or parked).
      The diesel Doser block will open and allow diesel to spray downstream through the diesel injector valve located behind the turbo (or sometimes called the 7th injector) in the exhaust system towards the after treatment. This allows the soot or ash to bake in the DPF.
      The diesel Doser block has valves and sensors that open or close depending on what the MCM and ACM are reading.
      It only works during the regen process.

      @@prashanshan7125 it gets the fuel from the HI-Pressure fuel pump. The hi pressure flange has a fuel line supply line that goes to the Diesel Doser block.

    Great Video.
    What's the differnce between the SPN 3056 and 3057 codes. I have a code for SPN 3057 but not SPN 3056. I'm guessing 1 is Inlet and 1 is Outlet?
