    I'm learning to be productive everyday by alternating activity level during the week. And multitasking my day like harvest morning. Start dehydrator afternoon. Declutter evening. Unload dehydrator next day. Keeps me from over working any one part of my body to pain.

    I’ve been watching you since forever. 🌻. I will never have a traditional “homestead “ but I garden in a little spot where I have the most sun. I am always amazed by how much knowledge you have to share whether about growing or raising animals. I purchased your download about building a greenhouse…just in case shtf. It’s so practical and well thought out. I just wanted you to know how much I enjoy watching. I think I might look into the dehydrator it looks like a good investment.

    I used to dehydrate more but since I got the freeze drier that is the way I preserve most of my fruit. I like the texture it gives them . Instead of leathery or hard they are more crunchy and easier for me to eat. Besides the fact that it preserves more of the nutrients.

    29:05 Not dried fruit related, but I just love how you braided your hair back like that, it is so cute. I used to braid mine in a similar fashion when it was longer. I cut most of it off last year in a whim when I was pregnant haha, slowly working on growing it back out. -Cara

    A good job is dehydrating the fruit and canning for the winter! I, too, have a video about making apple puree and courgette caviar for the winter.

    Oh hey ( dehydrator brought to mind ) 3 days ago , slicing carrots with mandolin , I left a huge chunk a thumb meat in there somewhere ( jerky now ) , man I bled like a stuck pig, wrapped er up in gauze and grey tape for 4 days - had to soak it in sink to get the scab to release the bloodied gauze - need a a nurse around here - what a mess

    I probably have less to dehydrate so i use a direct solar powered dehydrator that i built. Works a bit slower and ofcourse it needs a sunny day, but if i had a lot to process it would be insufficient

    Why do my bananas not dehydrate hard like the ones in the stores?

    • @americaneden3090
      @americaneden3090 2 года назад +1

      That IS a bummer, but if u notice the ingredients on the package from store bought banana chips, the label says there's oil in it. The bananas are partly "fried" or something. Im not exactly sure of the process, but bananas dried at home are NOT like bananas dehydrated at the store.
