Most musicians go to 1000's of gigs before they get any recognition and more importantly, they sing their OWN songs which I think is the most important way of getting big in the music industry. I think he changed the song too much, and he didn't sing it in the way the song is supposed to make you feel. I think he tried to too much/hard to make it his own, that he forgot to put the original feeling into it.
