Crossley OE1 28 at the Anson Engine Museum.

The first turn over on compressed air of the OE1 28 at the Anson Engine Museum Poynton Cheshire. The next job is to pipe up the fuel supply.
The engine was removed fro Criterion Stampings in Willenhall, West Midlands in 1999.
Not reall date of its last running at Willenhall but spares where still being supplied from Crossleys in 1978.

That is what I call a beautiful monster engine!! I must say that Geoff Challinor is a got actor😀😀😀 The last time I met Geoff was when he came to visit my engine collection when on holiday in Malta!!

As it’s not as tall as the Mirrlees it won’t need a fuel tank so high up but it might still be hanging!
