Once committed to a mid/backcourt position JP had to win on forehand power; his backhand was virtually useless for either recovering the rally or winning points. Kim always had him in a death-grip.
Kim has the best footwork or one of the best in the world ever. But the Japan-style blade holds back pen-holders more than helping them. Since 1977 and 1979, no Japan-style blade players came close to winning WTTC Singles. Not even the Great Kim Taek Soo.
Ben TheKeeshond I don’t understand why you’re saying japan style anything. Penhold was popularized by Chinese players and kim taek soo is Korean. But he did have some of the best footwork ever.that small ball could also get hit much faster with much more spin so you had even less time to get in position

I don't understand what you are trying to say other than Kim has good footwork and a smaller ball travels faster and spinnier.
Kim is Japanese?
@@mindrover777
No. Kim is a S. Korean Table Tennis penholder player with a Japanese style blade or racket.
@@benthekeeshond545 never seen any current Japanese player using that style
