    Huihan is such a wonderful artist and human. I’ve been a big admirer of his work and teaching the last several years and I’m grateful to be joining him this fall in Utah.

    I use spiralbound, sketchbooks ..you can tear out of the sheet quite easily. They have a perforation..
    it works well for me.❤

    Outstanding art and very interesting personal history. Thank you, gentlemen. Sketching every minute while shopping or pre-plein air etc. Catching figures on the fly is a grand challenge so my book goes in my hip pocket. Nice sketch invention Jeff.

    Pardon my english but Chinese artist always have such a solid understanding of value and form in their painting especially the ones that studied art in china and it makes their paintings looks a bit simillar (Mian situ, zhaoming wu, Jove wang) but the quality is incoparable to other artists outside of china

    I honestly think he’s the best living artist. Thanks Jeff. I hope to see one of his paintings in person.

    I just got home from a NH to OR camping and painting, 8 week trip. Exhausting. Oddly, I found that the high stress of it depressed my ability to paint. In the evenings, I watched all your episodes that I downloaded (usually I had no service). I learned a lot. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for doing these videos. I realized I was not taught how to paint, though I have a BS in art and an MFA. Self taught, means holes in one’s education. I mean to close them.

      Cultural revolution ??? Isnt that communist revolution ?

    • @MarinelaM
      @MarinelaM 2 месяца назад

      1:10 - state select you , they want you to be one of them , pay for your school, and the number is limited because all those students are needed for the communist party to paint their depictions their propaganda, their portraying of successful life. You are not a free artist to paint what you want.

    Can we get Huihan on Joe Rogen or Andrew Huberman or something to talk about his health habits because looking that fresh at 72 is astonishing.
