It's the stark contrast of Haruna I love, SO DAMN CUTE!! SO DAMN BADASS!! My favorite Drummer is always going to be a tie between, Mario Duplantier, and Tomas Haake, BUT Haruna, and Akane from BAND-MAID, are tied in my second place. I would love to see them have a DRUM-OFF!!
I am not a drummer, so take my opinions on drummers with that in mind. I feel like Guitarists have a good frame of reference for the skill of a Bassist, and the other way around, but with drums, that is a foreign language to me, so my personal preference tends to be drummers that play very differently from what is normally expected.
@@CaptainFaceBeard It's okay, everyone has their favorites! Nothing wrong with that. So many different drumming styles out there. It's kinda hard to pick a favorite! Sometimes it's for personal reasons, sometimes we just admire their skill or style.
@@TheCyberMantis Mario from Gojira is such a unique drummer. He really creates an atmosphere. They are not everyone's cup of Rum, but if you like really heavy music, they are one of the best bands out there. Plus they are French, and sing in English, so they tend to phrase their lyrics in a really unique way as well.
@@CaptainFaceBeard Gojira is extremely popular. Lots of people seem to really like them. I checked out some of their stuff awhile back, but it never grabbed me. So I never got into them. I have nothing against them, they are great at what they do, it's just not my style. My favorite band for 25 years was SYMPHONY X. And now it's LOVEBITES.
@@TheCyberMantis No, they are not for everyone. My favorite song from Gojira is "Born In Winter", if you listen, you will hear the screams are actually done as a choir almost, it's very layered. That is my favorite thing about their music. L'enfant Suvage, really shows off the coral vocals of the band well.

To keep on the trend of all female Japanese bands, you've done Lovebites, Band-Maid and Nemophila. Why not check out another great all female band, Doll$Boxx. This is a side project band made up of an incredible vocalist, Fuki (from the band Unlucky Morpheus), and the musicians from Gacharic Spin. Doll$Boxx's sound is more rock/electro/funk with a dash of metal. Their song Take My Chance is a great start for them. Keep on rocking 🤘😊🤘

This was the last encore of the show after 15 songs and three encores, it was 2 hours of pure pleasure. Last year the ladies did a watch party with their fans in July and it was phenomenal and epic and yes it was an amazing show.

I wonder why they felt it necessary to combine the visuals from two different shows over the one sound track for this one. The originals of both versions were brilliant as they were. I found it strange to see their outfits keep changing from one type to another.
But isn't it so cute that Princess Haruna looks hardly any taller standing up at the drum kit than she does sitting on her throne. How could anyone not fall in love with that gorgeous little creature.
I'm a sucker for a Midori and Miyako duet. They only have 2 so far and the other one is Signs of Deliverance.
When Destinies Align is another one, even though they start out separate, they come together for about a minute long. There used to be a live version of them walking out front to play it, but it was taken down. It's on the FOAK DVD so you can buy it if you want.
They do a duet for part of "Shadowmaker" as well.

Yes, I had been told that, you can really hear it in so many songs. I would have actually picked up on that if no one mentioned it. It's so distinctly Steve Harris, but uniquely Miho as well.

My entire life, I never knew what sundried tomatoes were. I'd see the words on cans in the supermarket, and I never knew what they meant. I mean, I knew what tomatoes were, but what's a sundrie? I read it like "sundree". Like laundry, or foundary Then one day when I was like 35, I saw a can with the words separated PROPERLY like they should have been on every other brand since forever, "SUN DRIED TOMATOES", and it was like a huge revelation.
Those kinds of things are funny. I have had a few myself. Like they have been torn asunder. Sundried Tomatoes.
Please don't compare them to Iron Maiden or any other past present or future band. They are the LOVEBITES. And they are so much better than all the others. I am 70 years old and have never heard better than what these 5 young women are doing. Without denigrating others. But they are far too talented to compare with anyone .

62 years "young" here and I also totally agree. Yes I can pick up influences from bands from the past, but it was these bands that influenced these five musicians to continue the genre. Influences are not comparisons however and sometimes people tend to forget that, or get the two mixed up. They are LOVEBITES, what they bring to the table is totally their own, no comparisons.

We The Un Tied.......LMAO, please stop I can't tell you what went through my brain at that but I had to stop your video for some period of time to "clean" up the mess (LOL)!!!! That is how you end an EPIC show, leave your fans pumped and ready for more. Meanwhile after a full set and an encore set they end with this and look like they are ready to go out for the night, no effort and no sweat just easy and simple (well for them anyway). I almost cracked a rib myself. That is a thing about the brain, when we see a wrod that has the letters mixed up, we can still read the wrod correctly. Those are misspelled on purpose. @@CaptainFaceBeard Another great band, but like LB now missing Marko their bassist. Jukka from Wintersun (same band Kai/drums came over from) is a great musician and can sing but Floor is really going to have to carry the songs now that her favorite duet partner is missing.

Miho Miho Miho! normally I don't watch compilation vids but this was ok NOT as good as the originals (2019 Daughters of the Dawn and 2020 Five of a Kind (the one with the Electronic Grand Piano and the skirt on Asami with the tail)) not sure who sent you the link but Naughty Naughty they should have known better.

As I said in the other comment, please advise me if I should remove this, and do another reaction with the correct footage. Alternately I can remove the link to the original video. I would rather not use illegal footage if at all possible.
@@CaptainFaceBeard I'm no legal expert so I can't help with that aspect, also finding the original (FOAK is the better of the 2) is very hard as it is not on their official website. Just checked out the link it lists it as "Diver City" so I have asked that they change it or remove it.
M&M show. Nothing like it. Yes, Maiden vibe, but honestly, the ladies have surpassed the old masters. They are faster, cleaner, heavier and more melodic. It's natural--every field progresses, whether it's medicine, technology, aeronautics, or heavy metal.
It also doesn't hurt that Japan has far better training for young kids for music than the rest of the world. Even kids who are not classically trained in music, would be trained in the Suzuki Method. I would love to have a time machine to be able to go back and make sure I was trained in the Suzuki Method. It's too late now, I believe that training only really works for children. OR works best if you are a child.
