Hope your trip was awesome!! Excited to hear your thoughts on Milkman when you get to it :) Such a cool idea to save articles to read on trips, I will like those would be perfect things to read on a plane ride since you can finish them in a sitting.
Totally! Browsing and catching up on articles are my usual liminal space activity haha. And eeeeep, im planning on picking it up very soon! Super excited!
Ok JUST requested the audiobook from my library, thank you for the rec! And woah, hadnt thought to read Milkman on audio! The writing style seems so particular, maybe ill do a tandem read with both! Eeeep so excited, thanks again (also, great name 😉)
She’s vlogging at costco!!?? She’s a queen!!! 🙇🏻♀️ omg i need to read trespasses now. Also i need to move to nyc lol. Loved watching you do your reading packing! And love that you linked your essays!! A million thank yous ❤
Hahahha costco is the chaotic home away from home 😂 Pleaseeee move to NYC!!! And omg only two of those essays were worth reading. I was so disappointed (oh wait, I forgot you had beef with Woolf! So maybe just the Cusk 😅)
@@katsfieldnotes oh absolutely. should i prepare 5 books to read on this flight in which i’ll just zone out and stare into the middle distance? sure, ya, probably.
Lovely vlog! Trespasses sounds very good, adding to my TBR! It also sounds like a wonderful companion to Milkman so I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts on that one as well! Im also a big fan of Irish authors - I’d definitely recommend Edna O’Brien if you haven’t read her yet. The Country Girls Trilogy was my intro and I loved that series.
Oooooh, I feel like Ive heard someone compare The Country Girls as like a My Brilliant Friend starter pack (was it you that said that???? It might have been!) So ill def request that right now! And I didnt make it to checkout 19 on the trip but its still on the kindle so im hoping to read it sooooon!
Hi Kat! Have you read John Boyne? I’ve read and loved The heart’s invisible furies, A history of loneliness and A ladder to the sky by him. He’s really good!…My Irish author rec! 😊
I think I need a couple of Rooney-Irish before diving back into Murdoch-Irish (but I have been eyeing that rock and roll one, so its def gonna happen! I actually miss her!) And life support was more succesful than I was anticipating 😂
Oooooh I hadnt heard of The Happy Couple but the synopsis sounds wonderful! Will be keeping an eye out for all of these, thank you so much for the reccies ☺️

aww the little plants hub! loved watching you plan yr travel reading: I fully feel that.
Planning reading for travel always takes more time than the actual time spent reading while traveling (which was maybe 27 mins total 😂)

@@katsfieldnotes yes! Reading the Neopolitan Quartet reminds me so much of my Country Girls trilogy experience! It’s the Irish counterpart!
