I fell in love with Angel for women 15 years ago. But I discovered it through a male friend that wore the men’s fragrance. Tierry Mugler has a great line of fragrances!

Pure Wood is really underrated and honestly i can't understand why. Its a beautiful fragrance with an amazing drydown. My second favorite after Pure Havane.
Pure Wood is my favorite out of the line up. Slept on big time.
got two samples of pure Tonka, pure Malt and the full bottle pure Havane. I consider myself newbie to fragrance world. from dozens frags I tried, pure havane is among the top 5 I love and pure malt right after
“Fresher” and “Smoother” means it’s most likely a watered down version of the original Amen. No way am I wasting money on this newest release.
They SHOULD have come out with Amen in its original formulation, with the tar note amped up a bit

I think Ultimate is coming under L'oreal. Still very much looking forward to it and Jacques Huclier seem to never disappoint.

I must admit that I don't want EDP from this house. While their frags are great, they use a lot of synthetics. I think an EDP would only just amp up that synthetic vibe for me.
I love B*Men too! I use it more like an Old Spice (after shower, before gym).
I love the A men series, why dont they keep up the "Pure" line? Pure vanilla, Pure Honey, get crazy with Pure Oud!

Amen is still my #1 favorite gourmand fragrance to this day, it's amazing! Hope this one does the amen name justice!
I gave my son the original A*Men, he loves it, also he took the Cologne Cologne to college: it survived the CO altitude. I'm interested in this, but I wear Angel (it's my preferred scent).

Although it's kinda obvious why they're doing it. > new ownership >> If Ultimate is to replace the original as the new 'base', the old formula was probably getting too expensive to manufacture and they NEED MORE flankers, so reformulating only makes sense. But despite my excitement, I'm also not very hopeful. Nearly every brand has been slipping in the past couple years and Mugler is no exception. Your review will be my go-to when you get it. Angel Men awayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!
Have you seen any offical announcement for this or a press release? All I've seen are posts to fragrance sites and forums. It's hard to believe that a company (Mugler) whose financing is in limbo because of negotiations between Clarins and L'Oreal, would announce a new fragrance with all the costs it entails before a sale of the company to L'Oreal was finalized. If you have a link to an official announcement, please provide it. The latest information is that they're in negotiations and nothing is finalized.
Why should you worry about L'Oreal? The Mugler line has already been weakened and reformulated by Clarins.

The line has already been reformulated, and doesn't perform anything like the original releases. If you buy anything that says "Mugler" on the box instead of the older bottles with his signature, you are going to be severely disappointed! It's so sad seeing this happen to all the great fragrances.
You're correct. That's why I don't understand why Sebastian is worried about L'Oreal. Clarins has already done a job on the line and it's not as if they've restored Azzaro Pour Homme to its original formulation, either. The 2017 version I smelled was quite different than even the 2014 bottle I have, and that's not as smooth as the bottle I still have from purchasing it in the 1980's!

@@danspanos I've mentioned that to Sebastian and other reviewers in comments numerous times and have written it in many FB groups. EA Fragrances bought 2 that were the among the strongest of their time, Paul Sebastian and Giorgio for Men. Giorgio for Men was like a parfum extrait disguised as an edt spray! It's still strong but not nearly the monster it once was.
Back in the 1980's, I never worried about "performance" of a fragrance. I splashed it on (everything also came in splashes back them - a few more ml's for less money) and it lasted a whole day - even Chanel Pour Monsieur. Today, you need to carry a stopwatch to time your fragrance!

Sebastain, I reciently went to Dillards and their original A-men has a new package, it has a chrome front box with the name Mugler on it, my box is black with the name Thierry Mugler on it, I currently have 7 bottles by Thierry Mugler, do you think this has been reformulated? I was thinking the same about the alien fusion smells bit funky to me a lot of people say it sounds nice but I can't see it at all I love mugler fragrances

Speaking of new releases I’m in London and D&G new release in called King. Got to try it. I didn’t care for the opening notes but after about an hour I really enjoyed it.
How is the longevity?
D&G don’t typically last very long on me but I was still smelling it after 6 hours

So B*men was good you say? 🤔 im intrigued now I never sought it out, not sure why, there are a few I wish I could find like pure wood I have a couple bottles of pure malt, an older bottle of pure Havane, ultra zest and kryptomint all I like a lot.
Jeremy you can still find Pure Wood (my favorite) on muglerusa.com. And there are plenty of Bmen ( Pure Rhubarb😊) foating are on ebay.

They're known to reformulate and water down a lot of perfumes, ruining the original.
@@misterwho4633 Actually MUGLER has been in trouble the last few years...weak flankers...poor distribution...the last AMEN from CLARINS was a disaster that lasts 20 minutes...LOREAL will probably make it even worse! LOREAL = crap mastige junk.

I enjoy Mugler fragrances but much like yourself, it sounds to me like they're going to water it down.
Clarins has already watered them down. Check the reviews on Fragrantica, especially for Pure Malt.

Garbage projection. Just like the rest of the reformulated mugler colognes. And yes i have tried it. Everything is just a frigging skin scent. These designer are just ripping people off. Nothing against you sir. You are just a reviewer not the maker

Never got into them.. I have bought aura and angel for my gf... The men's scents always had something off putting in their DNA kind of how I don't like Chanel.. I like women's Chanel on women but I find the men's fragrances so dated
