I still *clearly* remember being a teenager and my friends dad had Angel for men. This was in the late 90's and there was *nothing* like it. For a while it was famous because it "smelled like candy" - and it really did. I got a bottle myself sometime in the early 2000's. It's long gone but I have fond memories of the unique first release of this line. I will look forward to seeing what this one is like.

Steve I was wondering if your nose could help me. I tried a few of the A*men and even a Alien for women but I didn't like the common dry down in all of them. Liked the tops and lots of the mid but the dry down my nose doesn't like. The thing I need help with is what is the smell I don't like. Is it musk, animalic, a dirty patchouli, or a harsh pepper. Trying to train my nose and to avoid notes I don't like in the future.
I didn't like it at first, it was too sweet. But it grew on me, I think the opening up to mid is too sweet but after that it has a soft seductive scent.
Am I the only one who felt like this is similar to Royal Oud from Creed? Been awhile since I had Royal Oud, but I instantly think of it when I smell this!
Just remember this is the first amen release under the parent company L'Oréal . This means a slight change of direction in the line I guess. It reminds me to the 2012 ch men .

@MAGACOP Agreed the opening is awesome but still good if situation requires something not as loud :D Pure Malt should be called Pure Heaven. But then again Heaven vs. Havane would confuse a lot of people ;)
@MAGACOP No I could only find the deodorant here in NZ. I have seen it but only in 1oz (30ml) bottle. I would love to get it in 100ml bottle. I wore Tonka 3 days ago. I could still smell it yesterday ;) I love that one. And yeah it's summer here but I don't care. It's that good, ha ha ha

I like the scent I just wish I had a little bit more of the fur. And I think you're being very generous with its performance I get about half of what you're saying
I love this fragrance it's pretty unique I never get bored of this scent. And it's a great compliment getter. Definitely worth the buy

I enjoy the smell on this one. It is very pleasant. I can say this and pure shot are the only angel men you can wear to the office.
