Soon after the verdict, a debate broke out among political parties, with Congress and BJP targeting each other and reminding who had done injustice to women. Who 'betrayed' women for votes? 'Rajiv Gandhi did not do any wrong by bringing in the famously known as Shah Bano Act in 1986 because the same SC in the Danial Latifi Case upheld the constitutional validity of the 1986 act...'
