I'm not going to talk about any "new drama" I'm pretty done with Pressure lol. With that being said I also probably will not REVIEW any more Roblox games, no matter the quality, just a heads up But that isn't saying I'd never touch them for a stream at some point
hot character voiced by gianni, wall crawlers blatantly inspired by the filth models, everything about the trenchbleeders, everything about pandemonium
The shipping side of Pressure is such a hot mess but it's also a great warning to those wanting to use a PERSONAL characters for a PUBLIC game. If you have some strict ideas for your character like canon marriages where the spouse isn't seen or mentioned in game it's best to either add them in or keep the partner faceless/nameless if you get upset at people ignoring your canon. Basically... expect people to be freaky and if it makes you uncomfortable it might be a good idea to make a similar version for yourself or the public game
Some creators and fandoms get downright unhinged about this stuff. Like apparently there's this fantasy-themed music thing called Yaelokre... where the artist's response to rule 34 being made was to basically weaponize illegitimate DMCA claims by encouraging their fans to report art they don't like for copyright infringement. And they've done absolutely nothing to curb the rampant harassment and graphic death threats their fans send. I dunno, I think calling someone else's NSFW art of their characters "literally a gun pointed at their head" and dogwhistling for fandom brigading isn't very healthy.
@@FelisImpurrator when did that happen? all i know from Keath (creator of yaelokre) just said they were uncomfortable with nsfw being drawn of their minor charactors
@@0verpricedcoffee553 uh, recently? They literally created a form and encouraged their fanbase to report all NSFW fanwork specifically so it could be copyright claimed and taken down that way. Which is textbook abuse of DMCA claims and is rightly seen as a scummy move whenever any corporation does it. Also this runs the risk of exposing minor fans to NSFW work, incites a lot of stochastic violence-style brigading from the fans, and also they've just not acknowledged their fans engaging in rampant PDFjacketing and graphic death threats against people who do nsfw content. Twitter is a shitshow. Anti culture is basically indistinguishable from QAnon. And that fandom is one of the most grotesquely parasocial ones I've seen in years. I'll be real... I genuinely don't care all that much about any sort of moral judgment or whatever, generally, but when it comes to non-physical interactions I have a big red line: Weaponizing groups of people/public opinion. If you're going to fight people fight them yourself. Directing a crowd through public shaming or brigading is vile and cowardly. At absolute best the way they're behaving is irresponsible and naive if they just don't understand the negative externalities of behaving this way as a creator; if they do understand and/or condone their fans' behavior then it's pathetic and underhanded.
@@gremshabs It's probably better to not use personal OC's when possible. I've got my own and honestly we do get attached, they're our creations and often reflect on us as people to some extent. So to have something so personal put into the hands of strangers to do as they please, it's going to be upsetting if there's any personal attachment to that character. It's often better to create a character for the purpose of the game with the knowledge of how weird people can be. It helps create a disconnect where it's easier to ignore 'that' side of the fandom if you know beforehand that it was going to happen.
You know "Shady megacorp found a truly sentient AI and forced it to mine crypto" is such a funny concept. Like yeah that's something I could see them do.😂
"THEY'RE GOING TO TURN ME INTO A CRYPTO SERVER, KILL THEM!" - Durandal, Marathon 2: Durandal Review, MandaloreGaming Coincidentally, also voiced by Gianni.
Just drop the "shady" part because these days, they would publicly broadcast their plans for that and be either confused or offended for anyone being against it. "We made the torment nexus from the hit book and film series 'don't create the torment nexus'!"
20:33 AGREED Sebastian's design is so heckin cool, I love how the asymmetry is used to kind of make it symmetrical? (having 3 arms and 3 eyes but the sides they're on balance it out in a way). Cool fish monster design always gets me excited >:) Funny feesh with a GUN
The shipping drama is so stupid… enough people have already talked about the fans needing to chill out which I agree with but what I’m confused about is why Zerum was so mad that people were ignoring the canon, because that’s a really common fandom thing. You can’t really stop it and it doesn’t matter anyways- Like it’s still their game, the marriage is still canon, regardless of whether or not people like it. Just let them “cope” and ignore them. But I don’t know them personally so I don’t know their reasoning for getting so agitated over that specifically, I understand their anger over everything else though because the rumors being spread about them were disgusting
Not criticism, I'm just separating my points: 1) The shipping drama was solved and the plushies will arrive around Christmas, 2) Roblox devs are unusually toxic like their community. I remember checking out moderation in Doors and the way they went about FAQ was ridiculous. Essentially, there was a time the devs were moving apartments and had to stall development, so instead of giving transparent updates and opening an accessible FAQ, they pinned a message in #general from months ago stating anybody talking about updates would be muted/warned. *If the devs didn't drop the floor 2 release date several times, maybe the community wouldn't be asking so many questions.*
@@scrittle It's almost like a bunch of random script kiddies shouldn't be Pressured (haha) into making games like a AAA studio so a big website can profit off their work without lifting a finger or something. Game development takes professionalism...unless you're the CEO I guess. :/
Since when was zerum ever mad about people not following the canon? I don't remember her ever being mad about people breaking the canon outside of out of context screenshots that made it look like she was genuinely mad even though she wasn't Edit: the video also shows that zerum doesn't actually care about ships and such that much if at all
@@41dn 🤷♀️ it's the most common thing I heard going around when it came to the whole marriage drama thing. I only found out recently and thought the ring he's been playing with was just either something he found when scavenging or when he was still human.
As an oc creator that would one day want to make a game i understand wanting to be protective of your character but at the same time you shouldnt alienate your fans yeah people can be weird and do or say things about your characters that you may not like but at the end of the day they are fans and are allowed to do what they want to. Where id see a problem that would need to be addressed is is those people literally send it to you when you express you dont want to see it, like what it seems you yourself were dealing with lol
I just dont get people who take canon so seriously. If they have a crush on a FICTIONAL character, why does it matter if they're married or not? You can just make up that they aren't married or something like that. It's fiction, it's not that serious.
What I don’t like about the married part is that I’m pretty sure Sebastian is married to Zerums OC witch is fine on it’s own but the OC in question was one of the scientists who made him the way he is, so unless he has Stockholm syndrome or something I really don’t understand that, although I’m not too deep into the lore so I might be completely wrong on this
@@JoebidenprodutionsYeah the plot holes are really bad. Why does Sebby's wife work at urbanshade? She should be out there wondering where Sebastian is and maybe even don't believe that Sebastian is dead and actively trying to find the mystery of her husband's death or something like that. I just want a good narrative that makes sense.
@@SoberVirgil someone did mention it could be they forced her too so Sebastian understands that this isn’t really her fault, but this is probably just a theory
I don't see anyone mentioning this yet, but Pressure DOES have false flickers. But it is rare thankfully. This phenomenon is called "Mirage" where the lights flicker and a muffled imitation of Angler is heard. Although in comparison to Doors something happens at last.
ngl this is probably the tamest drama that could've happened. People simped for a character and then got angry over a noncanon line. Yeah the death threats were uncalled for but at the end of the day it could've been so much worse and at least the devs were not the catalyst this time. That being said fuck them for adding an achievement I will never get because I am super unlucky FUCK THE NO LOCKER CHALLENGE
@@arronomus8026 "Death threats were uncalled for but it could have been worse" is a wild thing to say. Especially over people simping for a video game fish.
@@xXSamir44Xx Well yeah. I've seen doxxing, swatting, S.A. accusations, doctored screenshots, and so much more in attempts to ruin the lives of someone who did something that has no actual consequence. It's not a good thing, but it's hardly as bad as it could've gotten.
Hey! I know this'll probably get buried but I wanted to say that I appreciate you making this video. Thank you for doing the research that you did and taking the time to actually delve into this subject instead of just scraping the surface, as some unfortunately do. A few of my posts/artworks are littered throughout this video so I was a little fearful at first that this was going in the complete opposite direction, so this is a really pleasant surprise! It's been a really rough couple of months for everyone included in this whirlwind and it's nice to see someone talk about it on a larger platform. Thank you for setting things straight as well as providing genuine advice.
The way I understood it, the reason the creators of Uma Musume (said horse anime) didn't want weird pics of the characters is because they're based on real race horses, a lot of which are owned or sponsored by high ranking Yakuza members, and trying to explain to a 57-year-old mob boss why his race horse is an anime girl with her tits out on the internet can get... let's go with "awkward", and avoid detailed explanations.
@@dairyblitz not really given that in this context you basically already made them the horse equivelent to cat girls your the one being weird by asking restraint
Just so you know all of the Anglers don't emit smoke, they are the smoke. And the smoke don't have colors, they're all black. Chainsmoker is an exception to this, he's still made out of black smoke but he also emits green gas.
Absolute amazing video! I wanted to highlight some of the cool stuff i wanted to compliment: -> i havent seen anyone go into detail about the angler variants -> i actually didnt know about the scan lines in the door visor, usually always would go for the breathing instead of waiting for sparks to show up -> blitz might actually be a bit rarer since i only encountered them like 2 times in my 20 runs -> flashbeacons are in my opinion defitnely one of the best lighting ways because they actually dont piss off squidles. Yeah you can defitnely enrage a eyefestation if youre not careful (happened to me once and caused me to die to a locker out of panic) but it becomes muscle memory after a while -> They should defitnely add a warning for the parasites during the finale because i had my health brought to at least 10 during the finale because of the lack of it. Something that they could do is add a variant voiceline if the the trench bleeder room didnt happen -> something that pressure does better than doors is probably accessibility for its difficulty like the ability to be able to revive with a resouce you can obtain by just playing and that light resources are available more often especially since batteries are universal for all lights instead of having to find the same lightsource to recharge. Other thing is the fact the revives only become turned off during the finale while doors deactives it when you reach the last 20 or smh doors. -> Room variety improves in making the place feel big but not feeling drawn out like the doors room with 4 corners which takes a while to find the key. I wont comment on the community stuff since i just like hearing what people have to say about the game itself but also how i dont have much experience since i only play with friends and stuff. Amazing video still, hope you comment in some other horror games like identity fraud someday!
I will say Blitz is absolutely common. Its almost guaranteed you'll see him in one of your runs Either you just didn't notice blitz, or you're so extremely lucky that it just doesn't show up. 20 runs is a lot to go through just to not see it, but it could also be because you died to something else earlier
@@arkkon2740 I mean I saw chainsmoker and pinky much more often so I might just be too lucky to make those appear, also not to mention my 12th run was the lucky one that worked out
This video was very well structured, separating the gameplays, the critiques and the overall community in their respective lanes. I personally found the community segment the most interesting because I never realised that some cultures or fandoms would go to such lengths, especially for a Roblox game. As for the other segments, they are very detailed, which is a great impression from you. I enjoy this video and will look forward to more from you, Dusky.
9:46 worth noting that this blobfish model is the modeled off the version of real life blob fish when they are dying and have irreversible tissue damage from being hauled up to the surface, compared to its usual home down where the sea has a higher atmospheric pressure
Me: *looks at fandom drama, sees it's not serious (WILD reactions by fans aside cause wtf also the handling being oof but genuinely live and learn)* oh thank god, there's enough roblox drama and this game is really cool. Me 10 mins later: WAIT BUT NOW I WANT MORE LORE WITH THESE NEW LINES (is she on one of these floors? Is this pre prison sebastian's wife? Do they send cute letters? 💞💞) Anyway AMAZING VID as alwayssss
Advanced lockerless player info here. After suffering forever I noticed that most anglers do not spawn unless you encounter 2 light rooms in a row. I think pinkie can spawn in a dark room but that one specifically doesn't flicker lights anyways. And maybe the multi, I unfortunately have only run into the multi once when I started and instantly died.. If you run into a dark room and the previous light room did not spawn an angler it does not pop up. Most anglers are actually really lenient if you know what corners you can hide in. Unfortunate you didn't understand the bugs as well, but heading too far out of the lights was an odd thing to do. I never did that until I actively tried to die on purpose. I also still feel like Pressure feels better than Doors. It's more smooth to go through it, the darkness isn't as blinding and impeding, the mid boss isn't as annoying and easy to take way too long into. Plus the minibosses don't get your teammates killed if you leave it. Also like pressure not forcing you to count every room in your head kinda sucks. Also Pressure doesn't rip my cosmetics off my character.
@@Torqegoodyou can barely see 1 foot in front of you. Doors gives you a vision bubble around your character so that you can see walls before you bump into them. Also, what do you mean Pressure is smoother to run through? It feels way more annoying, especially since they nailed the frequency of Rush in Doors, but Angler comes way too often and also the spawning mechanic sucks, being on a timer instead of having a chance to spawn every new door you open. It should only be like that in the Ridge, the timer is unnecessary, inconsistent, and makes going afk in any lit room for a long period of time a death sentence. They also have way too many references, to the point where it just gets tiring when every cool or new idea is just from another damn game. They should definitely tone down the references a ton in future updates. Doors has way more variety in environments. You’ve got an abandoned mine, an abandoned office building, an abandoned hotel and an abandoned basement (?). Pressure just has the constant grays, blacks and blues everywhere in the Blacksite, rarely deviating from this theme. Not to mention that when you are underwater, one of the main draws of this game and one of the factors that makes it distinct from Doors, it has not only less monsters than the normal game, but the only exclusive monsters are Trenchbleeders and those stupid parasites that add nothing except ruining damageless runs at the finale because it does a terrible job of showing you where the parasites are. There’s also how boring and repetitive the game can be on occasion. Sometimes barely anything will spawn at all, and sometimes you get Angler spam. I love Pressure, but it has some glaring flaws that cause Doors to be better for me, and I’m upset that nobody talks about these flaws.
not all the way through the video, but i must say i appreciate the addition of a deaf mode. a lot of horror games have a heavy reliance on sound with no other alternatives (last time i played doors it was like this, unsure if they've updated it). i play most games muted because i am horribly sensitive to sound and would rather not have trigger panic attack, making most of these games inaccessible to me. i wish more games had this option.
i did not know you worked on Freedom Planet! That's pretty sick! That aside, the relationship between fans and its creators on any given product has always been a hard line to tow. I don't think any devs have found a true correct way to keep its audience's in check as people tend to just be volatile, especially with Pressure. Fans tend to forget that people who make the games have feelings on their own works and disregard it as their obsession is with the game itself. Regardless of anyone's opinion, the devs didn't deserve the amount of harassment they received and alot of it was unwarranted. I just hope the devs drive to update and improve the game doesn't stagnate due their worst fans petty fish grievances. Have a good dayyyyyyyy! ^w^
Awesome video! Your commentary never disappoints. I'm gonna yap a bit about the section on the fandom stuff. Moreso my take away on the whole situation as it's one I've seen repeated a lot lately. Pressure's a cool game and it's unfortunate that the devs butting heads with the fandom has overshadowed the dev team's hard work. That being said. I've never played pressure, I don't even have a roblox account. I am not speaking as a fan. I'm speaking as a creative and a grown adult familiar with internet culture when I say the following. Someone with influence needs to sit new creatives down and get the idea that "you cannot gatekeep your product" through their skulls. Because I have watched over and over, in this year alone; creators make a project public, it gains traction, they find a subsection of the fandom that is doing something they personally don't like, they try to stop it, followed by the inevitable streisand effect, and then the creator crashes out completely. I have watched talented people fold under the weight of their own impossible goal of having "the good and normal fandom" and then run away crying so many God damn times, I'm begining to run dry on sympathy. Creators need to stop trying to rule over their fans with an iron fist. Nobody likes being subjugated. You're kicking a beehive when you tell people "don't draw that." "Don't write that" especially when the person being talked down to isn't even trying to get the creators attention. If a fan sends a creator something that upsets the creator, that is when you say "don't send me that" NOT "don't make that" A boundary is "don't do this to me" a boundary is NOT "don't do this with my story" because, as blunt as it is to say, fanworks are not yours. Sure, it used ideas made by you (ideas that are just versions of other people's ideas, as some creators tend to forget) and built upon them, but regardless of the likeness to your work, that fan creation is not yours. It's the fan's. They made it. You cannot take that from them no matter how much you hate it, because it's not your right to impead on other people's creativity for your comfort. There is one exception to this. When it involved the creator directly. Unflattering depictions of the creator or their sona, that's either bullying, or if it's sexual in nature just straight up sexual abuse. I'm not exaggerating. Someone hounding you for information on your work or demanding you to make something for them. That's just being a fucking nusance. Tell em to eat shit and get blocked. Don't let your fans push you around. Threats an insults. Harassment. Hit that loser with your car. When people are directly cruel towards you, kill (block) em. Put em on blast on Twitter even. Cuz at that point they're asking for it. When people are doing something you don't like, away from you. Mind your business. You're entitled to blocking them if you wish. Though I suggest maybe making an "official" account for your product that you don't use to scroll feeds just so no fan is denied updates and news about the thing they like (unless they're abusive towards you ofc. Then they dont deserve the inside scoop.) and only blocking them on your personal accounts. You have your story. You have your characters Nobody can take that from you. Nobody can ruin that for you either. The only thing capable of ruining your creative works, is your mentality. And being over protective to the point of reaching far past reasonable boundaries is the fastest way to make yourself hate your own creations. And the fastest way to make others hate you and your creation. Chill out. Care less. Stop trying to stop the flow of the river. You're just going to cause a flood. And then Nobody will be happy.
21:30 the way you climb up onto objects is by approaching it and moving your camera down while walking into the object. your body is a solid object, so this causes you to be lifted up onto the ledge you did it on. this also works for skipping long staircases, which helps save time :>
You can like a character, but being too obsessive is not a good look for any community, I genuinely feel sorry for the Pressure and Freedom Planet communities that have weirdos in them. I do like Lilac but only because she can be relatable to me at times.
6:05 How is no one commenting on how nice it is that they have a "deaf mode" in the game? That's actually very nice accessibility. Im not someone who needs it (I hear the audio fine), but it's nice to see for people who do.
I think it's great to see new games that wear their inspiration on their sleeve. There's nothing wrong with being inspired to make something of your own! Be that as it may, it can be a little frustrating when a popular new game is, to put it plainly, 'identical' to the main source that inspired it. By that, I mean that there are enough features, mechanics, design choices, etc that have simply been copied over, that if you put the two games next to each other, someone that doesn't know might just assume one game is DLC or an expansion for the other. If this is this developer's first foray into game design, then by all means, this is still an exceptional result -- but it's hard to give them as much credit as I want to when the game is almost a shot-for-shot remake of Doors with a fresh coat of paint.
I feel like making Sebastian married just because people liked him too much was kinda a dumb decision. I understand why Zerum would do that but at the same time... Money plus Fame. Of course I wouldn't expect them to just make... art of Sebastian but they already have a plushie of Sebastian. Any publicity is good publicity, all you gotta do is just ignore the bad apples and deal with them accordingly. Ignore them rather than changing the lore to something evitability pointless like simping for a fish. Like most people that simp for Sebastian just really likes them but not to a weird degree. Like Sebastian's wife is a non character, no one cares about her because she essentially doesn't even exist. Now you can't just say Sebastian never had a wife and try to shoehorn a character in now
@@acorn3810 Zerum has had countless references towards them or likely their oc in the game before that decision. So “non-character” feels like a stretch
The “existence” of Sebastian’s wife just doesn’t work either. He was nineteen when he was prosecuted, so did they get married the second they turned eighteen??? Also, Zerum made them literally change canon so she could have him. She’s super creepy about him and pressure characters in general (eyefest).
@@Scruffy-qi3ik I know, but it’s kinda rare. It wouldn’t even work or make sense for his character. Let’s face it, zerum added that detail because she was jealous.
@@Heychatwsg jealous of what? It’s literally HER character that SHE made and is in the game because of her. And it’s been proven she doesn’t care about people self-shipping with Sebastian, only the ones sending her death threats over it.
22:51 , additionally documents found in the Raveyard (aka the █████████ Graveyard, located in Eastern Scotland) either through dying or finding them, will be categorised under “Special”. The “Special” group is to do with documents unrelated to the Hadal Blacksite division, or the N.O.S.T. Subdivision.
39:28 apparently zeal said the good people wasn’t inspired by dupe from doors at all and was inspired by some horror game where you had to listen for a monster behind a door
Dusky, what was that at the end? DUSKY?? Amazing video Never played neither Doors nor Pressure but watched people play and honestly peak. I didn't even know things were happening in their community but honestly, the moment I saw Sebastian I was like "oh ya, people are gonna go _too_ weird on you" AND loved you speaking about that part specifically and your own Headcanon that now is also my headcanon, thanks. Still, what did the do to the poor animatronic, what did they fuse DUSKY with? TTATT
43:40 roblox dev here and it’s a kinda! basically you can get moving characters that are one piece, but fsr it’s reserved for models made in a different software (blender) not roblox itself. i don’t get why pressure has this issue because that game clearly looks better than my game
35:55 Another thing to mention after you survive the Searchlights and head to the submarine, is if you ever feel the need to explore the dock for any more documents, do BE CAREFUL because there is a chance that a void mass can still appear in any of the lockers, making it the final place you can actually die. Be cautious when looking around because the last thing you want after surviving everything the game throws at you, is to get surprised and yoinked by the void, killing your run when you were literally right next to freedom.
35:25 you can die after this cave (if puddles of void mass spawns). The creator of pressure did say that he came with the fake door idea bc of a game his friend made, a fan game of rooms with these hearing things in fake doors.
By the way, small correction, the Prisoner Diving Gear (the thing p.AI.nter detonates is actually a sort of shotgun that is used so the PDG can be retreived, I also thought it was a bomb because of the beeping until dying to it for the badge "Letting go of Poverty" and getting it's document.
13:56 actually my friend died after flashing Eyefestation and reported that she was still red for my friend even beyond the grave, and even after reviving, so she remembers even when you've become a ghost. I found that really funny
37:58 they are called node monsters since the doors have a node that takes time off a timer, which once hits 0 rolls to spawn an angler / variant or pandemonium
Very well done, collecting all that footage was not a short or easy task. More props for also taking the time to address a bit of a scary topic for game devs.
Idk if it’s been said before but at 46:32 you mention preferring a simpler ambience with no gunshots, intercoms, or voices in the background. Before the friendly fire update it actually was like that! It was way scarier to me that way as it felt less lived in and you as a player felt way more alone, as it really was just you and the monsters in there. However I can admire what the extra ambience does for the theme and fitting the story even if it does sacrifice some of the spooky factor
the only nitpick I could ever have about sebastians marriage is why the heck does he refer o his wife by her gamer tag? /j (unless zerum is also a normal ass name and Im just an uncultured swine who doesnt know about that)
Man, having grown up with early '00s roblox, it's still weird for me to see how far it's come since I was younger. Back in my day we just had stuff like Obbys, Disaster survival maps, and stuff like Galleons (and Tix, may they rest in piece). Having dynamic cutscenes and intros was not a thing. ....but damn, the community on the site is still a shitshow, good to know. Some things never chance
45:02 Red lights turn on after a while of staying in a dark room, it's called the backup generator in the lore, it won't guide you to a keycard but it will give you the light needed to find it and get through the room, I don't know the conditions of it showing up though because I don't see it much lol
The last part of this video is a reminder that a LOT of fandom is unwell and operates on "notorious lolcow that won't be named here" levels of inability to differentiate fiction from reality. It's not all on the developers, but I do agree that there needs to be more of a barrier between creators & audience than there is on social media. I've had creators come out of nowhere cuz of vanity searching mad that I didn't praise them enough, and I've seen way more than enough of people who think the creators should only do what they want & get very rude when they don't. Not sure what the solution is at this point besides "avoid Discord at all costs" or "wait for modern fandom standards to be registered in the next DSM revision", unfortunately.
my only annoyance with zerum's (totally not self insert nooo) oc is that it doesnt fit the aestetic. I can't exactly link a pic but if you google "zerum oc ref sheet" it should be the first result- The design is just so... sigh. Like it's cool dont get me wrong, but the least they couldve done was make her more aestetically fitting. It's just such a mess and it looks like a generic "everyone is in love with me" character even if it sint what shes supposed to be. She's just a generic kawai bunny girl with a dark side. Idk... Maybe its the artstyle?
I'm gonna be real with you homeslice dawg, this is a non-issue and is fueled by your personal tastes, not everything has to fit a certain aesthetic, especially since she's only featured in a picture behind the desk. She's such a small detail that this doesn't even matter.
THIS. i would genuinely like zerum (the character) if she didn't look like _that_ lol reminds me of that one controversial tweet about characters looking like ocs instead of in-universe characters... that's how I perceive her as of right now.
One thing that should be expected when something takes off & gains a huge fandom is the more adult/lewd side coming in, & people need to realize that they can't stop that, & politely asking people to not do that is honestly laughable & naive. The internet runs on spite & unfortunately, you can't control every aspect of your fandom, that's why the toxicity & cringe will eventually leak & spread. Now, I can get behind keeping the funny number website stuff away from official/public spaces like Discord, Reddit, & wikis (Depending on the fandom it could be kid heavy & they shouldn't be seeing that stuff, & most people are there to talk about the game/show/movie/etc & not see the main characters boning) everywhere else is free game b/c while possible people not wanting to see it can stumble across it, but that's the risk you take when looking for cool fanart on DA or Twitter. Suppose you do go looking it up or do come across it by accident (In that case, it's a lot easier to not do that or just press the back arrow instead of leaving a comment complaining about it. It's especially cringe to do this on the previously mentioned funny number website b/c what did you expect to see there?). Bringing stuff like that up in these spaces is dumb & you have every right to be ridiculed for it, don't be weird to people who just want to enjoy something, & especially don't do dumb shit like harass or send death threats over this, it's not that deep. Another small thing is how funny it is the devs thought making Sebastian married would deter people from either shipping or lewding him, & I mean, c'mon, really? It's admirable at least, but by just looking at DB, being married is just a suggestion to people & won't slow them down at all. It's such a well-known "problem" that there are memes of people shipping/drawing Goku w/ everyone except his own wife! Of course, there's the very popular Goku X Vegeta ship despite both being happily married, but that hasn’t stopped anyone from still shipping them. Not to mention there are several genres around cheating, so if anything, might have just added fuel to the fire. In short, keep the public official spaces free of your goonerness & don't be a dick & harass people b/c you wanted to be weird in the wrong spaces.
Yeah the whole drama with this game has just made me realize how genuinely kind of awful the dev team is, which most of them are young so I guess it makes sense. But eitherway straight up sending people to harass someone because they made artwork of themselves kissing the fish guy is really bad. As an artist, if you care a lot about your OCs and don't want them to be shipped with other people, DON'T put them into a video game, if that game blows up you WILL lose completely control over how your OC is handled online. About the doors rooms feeling samey. It feels kind of like thats the point. As far as we know we are in limbo, A limenal plain whillest pressure is basically just scp but under the sea. Also there actually is a false alarm monster in pressure
30:08 I can relate to this way too much. While the game was in the open beta the trenchbleeder rooms still existed, but if I remember correctly there wasn’t any warning. So I died on like 2-3 good runs just because I didn’t think to follow the beacons.
I want to tack on a real, genuine problem; theyre lowkey aholes. They were doing accessibility feedback, i am nearly blind and asked specifically for visual improvements underwater, wanted the sparks to be brighter or atleast an indicator, got told I wasnt good enough to play instead. Now my visions degraded too far to enjoy the game.
I hate it when people say that pressure is a ripoff of doors because I don’t know what to say because I want to say that pressure is just inspired and has a lot of different and better parts but it is similar to doors so I am confused
26:45 hi, the first searchlight encounter is actually still a searchlight that is underwater, they are not floating in the air, but swimming in water, as do the other searchlights.
Now I just imagine Glamrock Dusky sitting in Sebastian's shop all powered down while they try to get water out of their ears and rebooting their audio drivers XD One too many swimming sections in a run, and deaf mode is needed.

Fun fact, there are some rare entities and rooms you didn’t mention. One of the rare entities is this colorful sculpture thing where you can sometimes encounter a room filled with them. That is where you can get your research on them. There’s also a room with a generator that you can see that’s rare. A room that has a guy with a ball for a head, which is also rare (you can get a guaranteed document on this specific person in that room) and a really cool black and white room has a checkered pattern floor that sometimes will have its document on the floor (I ran into this room on my first play through and didn’t know there was a document in the room until I watched a video talking about rare stuff) I also want to mention that in a future update the plant people in the greenhouse will attack you if you step on their grass (I don’t know when that’s gonna happen, but one of my friends did mention the developers talking about that)

Basically... expect people to be freaky and if it makes you uncomfortable it might be a good idea to make a similar version for yourself or the public game
kinda sad what people do to other people's passion projects. i feel bad :/

Not criticism, I'm just separating my points:
1) The shipping drama was solved and the plushies will arrive around Christmas,
2) Roblox devs are unusually toxic like their community.

Just so you know all of the Anglers don't emit smoke, they are the smoke. And the smoke don't have colors, they're all black. Chainsmoker is an exception to this, he's still made out of black smoke but he also emits green gas.
Absolute amazing video! I wanted to highlight some of the cool stuff i wanted to compliment:
-> i havent seen anyone go into detail about the angler variants
-> i actually didnt know about the scan lines in the door visor, usually always would go for the breathing instead of waiting for sparks to show up
-> blitz might actually be a bit rarer since i only encountered them like 2 times in my 20 runs
-> flashbeacons are in my opinion defitnely one of the best lighting ways because they actually dont piss off squidles. Yeah you can defitnely enrage a eyefestation if youre not careful (happened to me once and caused me to die to a locker out of panic) but it becomes muscle memory after a while
-> They should defitnely add a warning for the parasites during the finale because i had my health brought to at least 10 during the finale because of the lack of it. Something that they could do is add a variant voiceline if the the trench bleeder room didnt happen
-> something that pressure does better than doors is probably accessibility for its difficulty like the ability to be able to revive with a resouce you can obtain by just playing and that light resources are available more often especially since batteries are universal for all lights instead of having to find the same lightsource to recharge.
Its almost guaranteed you'll see him in one of your runs
Either you just didn't notice blitz, or you're so extremely lucky that it just doesn't show up. 20 runs is a lot to go through just to not see it, but it could also be because you died to something else earlier
@@arkkon2740 I mean I saw chainsmoker and pinky much more often so I might just be too lucky to make those appear, also not to mention my 12th run was the lucky one that worked out

Also Pressure doesn't rip my cosmetics off my character.
the darkness of the pressure rooms is worse than of doors, imo honestly
@@ifwrina I dunno. When I run through doors darkness I always feel like I can't see anything. Pressure gives you just enough to not need a light.

@@snoozicario that certainly explains why people keep mistaking dusky for a Sonic character
If a fan sends a creator something that upsets the creator, that is when you say "don't send me that" NOT "don't make that"
A boundary is "don't do this to me" a boundary is NOT "don't do this with my story" because, as blunt as it is to say, fanworks are not yours.
You have your characters
Nobody can take that from you.

To be honest you do sound like Tails, at first I thought it was you until I heard Eggman’s voice
Be cautious when looking around because the last thing you want after surviving everything the game throws at you, is to get surprised and yoinked by the void, killing your run when you were literally right next to freedom.
one time my friend had a wall dweller spawn IN THE FINAL SUBMARINE.
Gianni Matragrano is in Pressure, which makes it a million times better than Doors
Meh, another shipper
42:25 actually Glitch USED to have Void's role too, before it was replaced with Void due to the fact Glitch wasn't canon and that was confusing.
cant believe Sebastian killed me for content
"Damn I'm under so much pressure with those spot lights searching all over my party..."
- John Pressure Sebastian
By 55:20 it hit me the unhealthy amount of sa2 fandub references in this video
You know what that means, FISH
37:58 they are called node monsters since the doors have a node that takes time off a timer, which once hits 0 rolls to spawn an angler / variant or pandemonium
Loved this video.
This helps me a lot understand the game a lot better and I hope I can actually win at least once during my runs!
Very well done, collecting all that footage was not a short or easy task. More props for also taking the time to address a bit of a scary topic for game devs.
20:27
Huzzah! I see you are a creature of Culture & Quality as well!
/j (unless zerum is also a normal ass name and Im just an uncultured swine who doesnt know about that)
i love your videos, keep up the good work!
ç
13:10 Oh so every time I saw those purple outlines it was a teammate I accidentally left to die! good to know 😭
Man, having grown up with early '00s roblox, it's still weird for me to see how far it's come since I was younger. Back in my day we just had stuff like Obbys, Disaster survival maps, and stuff like Galleons (and Tix, may they rest in piece). Having dynamic cutscenes and intros was not a thing.
....but damn, the community on the site is still a shitshow, good to know. Some things never chance
Roblox community is and has always been awful
Honestly I love this game and there're so many really talented artists in the fan base
45:02 Red lights turn on after a while of staying in a dark room, it's called the backup generator in the lore, it won't guide you to a keycard but it will give you the light needed to find it and get through the room, I don't know the conditions of it showing up though because I don't see it much lol
So THAT’S why your in-video sprites have the Sonic eyes!
Gianni being in this game is the best part
I just love the cute fish guy voiced by Gianni
I fuckin love his work, pure unfettered shitposting
Update: ...sooo uhhh i think the problems got worse-
my only annoyance with zerum's (totally not self insert nooo) oc is that it doesnt fit the aestetic.
No Imaginary Friend mention? 😔
They should add a character named "Zerum" so that it doesnt seem like Sebastian is married his creator
We have Doors. . .We have Doors but Underwater. . . and now we need Doors but in Space
Well now i'm scared of the sound of metal screeching, type sound. 10/10 game
love all your videos Dusky!!!!
Being upset that your character that you willingly put into something public is now popular and has artwork of him kissing some random tiktok person's OC is wild to me.
Nice animations and art! Glad to see you branching out with your media!
I saw some “funny pictures “ of sabation. Not even he is safe from 34.
@@GaelMiraflor No one is safe from that site, what you expect?
Except concord I think by time they shut down they had 0 images on the site
that's the whole meaning of the rule34. if it exists, there is p of it
Should we tell the president.
Damn, it’s been so long, dusky. Also, that’s a long ass video, love to see it :3
Also, Alfred as the fish man just works way too well lul
About the doors rooms feeling samey. It feels kind of like thats the point. As far as we know we are in limbo, A limenal plain whillest pressure is basically just scp but under the sea. Also there actually is a false alarm monster in pressure
30:08 I can relate to this way too much. While the game was in the open beta the trenchbleeder rooms still existed, but if I remember correctly there wasn’t any warning. So I died on like 2-3 good runs just because I didn’t think to follow the beacons.
Me: dusky's art seems familiar
Dusky: i worked on freedom planet 2
Me: oh cool i really want to play that game and wait..... OH DEAR GOD!
really didn't expect the eggman "I miss my wife" bit in the beginning to be relevant later well played
What a coincidence this a YTber I like upload something about pressure while I'm casually fixating on Sebastian. Stars align fr 🥺
How would an interaction between Lilac and Sebastian go
I want to tack on a real, genuine problem; theyre lowkey aholes. They were doing accessibility feedback, i am nearly blind and asked specifically for visual improvements underwater, wanted the sparks to be brighter or atleast an indicator, got told I wasnt good enough to play instead. Now my visions degraded too far to enjoy the game.
I hadn't known you had a hand in creating art for Freedom Planet 2, that would explain why your character design looks like Five Nights at Eggman's
11:35 only your head must be hidden
not a serious mistake but felt like correcting it
44:48 pressure has a whole entity for it its called Mirage but mirage has a spawn chance of 1/1000 during a run so
What a coincidence I went back and watched the Snapcube SA2 dub just hours ago
Now I just imagine Glamrock Dusky sitting in Sebastian's shop all powered down while they try to get water out of their ears and rebooting their audio drivers XD
One too many swimming sections in a run, and deaf mode is needed.
I didn't know you worked on the sequel to Freedom Planet
Cool stuff :D
small correction , there is no bomb on your back
its quite literally , just a shotgun shell aimed at your neck according to the PDG document
the gear itself is also detachable remotely..but thats considered inhumane
i
i forgor
Fun fact, there are some rare entities and rooms you didn’t mention. One of the rare entities is this colorful sculpture thing where you can sometimes encounter a room filled with them. That is where you can get your research on them. There’s also a room with a generator that you can see that’s rare. A room that has a guy with a ball for a head, which is also rare (you can get a guaranteed document on this specific person in that room) and a really cool black and white room has a checkered pattern floor that sometimes will have its document on the floor (I ran into this room on my first play through and didn’t know there was a document in the room until I watched a video talking about rare stuff)
I also want to mention that in a future update the plant people in the greenhouse will attack you if you step on their grass (I don’t know when that’s gonna happen, but one of my friends did mention the developers talking about that)
Fun fact about this game my friend actually works on it as a person that works for bugs and problems like that
