Rudimental have been working in the last years with real life situations with such a powerful lovely attention! i love their music but even more their interest in communicate something strong and try to wake people's mind up. That's simply amazing and show that they do care about the rest of the world. Impressive and intense. Loved to see Elderbrook working with them on something like this!!
The Men's suicide prevention hotline and programs needs to use/show this song and video in their campaigns. As a struggling man with depression and anxiety, this spoke to me on another level. Hands down one of the most incredible music videos I've ever seen.
I’m so glad that this spoke to you. I tried to show it to a mate with depression and he was completely bamboozled by it and didn’t understand the symbology and meaning at all.
I don't like the association "not crying=being strong" as it is the societal/cultural construct that pushes people to bottle up emotions. Strength is also the ability of tapping into that emotions before they build up to a breaking point. Empower yourself by embracing the human complex, our flaws and vulnerabilities.
Keep fighting boys. You’re not weak for feeling depressed or even suicidal. You’re recognising you want more from life and you’re capable of it. Let’s get it
Hit home this song massively especially the year I'm having and reading all these comments, and yours Euan has hit me like a brick Gonna keep fighting and blessed to know I'm not the only bloke feeling like this and the encouragement yous are all given 💙 #itsoknottobeok
That’s it. For me the last ten years have been brutal. Seems like every time it can’t get any worse, it does. Topping myself really would be an easy way out at the moment But as Chris Martin says, if you never try you’ll never know. Take care mate
They all know the dance because they all know the sadness and pain. They don't need to practice the dance because they already know it instinctively. It's a really powerful music video
My interpretation is very similar, it's a men's support group men aren't known to be open and willing to talk emotions, micheal with his brow knit with anxiety n pain awkwardly stands up to share but his share isn't verbal it's his dance n he starts very hesitantly n scared it won't be understood, his face changes when Mr blue jeans stands and by performing the dance with Michael shows he understood and can relate, then as the rest stand up as they build up their confidence n know that they feel the same but aren't as afraid anymore to share all join in, then when they stop and pair up to me it shows that as different n opposite each pair seems to be (age appearances background culture color etc) that we can all find common ground and understanding in each other if we just try n be open with each other, then they finish strong and the group ends but Michael u see is left feeling a bit more hopeful and validated
My first RUclips comment ever. And I'm a 43-year-old man who has had a RUclips account for years and watched probably thousands of videos. This video is perfect in every way. Simple. Subtle. Powerful. From the first seconds of the first viewing, it has continued to move me like no other video. Thank you for this.
@@yenco9649 The counsellor speaks to him at the beginning of the video and asks him if he wants to start today's session.....and he's the last guy to get up and dance.
I love the message of this video. Society burdens men with a false expectation of masculinity. Let the burdens slip from our shoulders, be yourself and lets dance in our masculinity. Strong and vulnerable!
Ok pal. Let's see how far acting vulnerable gets you in this life. Forget all the nice comments on this video from teen girls and young women saying they love a man who can express themselves. I'll give it 10 years before they need a real man and scoff at the idea of a emotional man. Lol
for me its another metaphor, its like being ashamed, not enough before getting together and letting it all out starting to get comfortable and enjoyng the ride, a very Beatyful and expressive coeography
it perfectly describes how men are conditioned to bottle up their feelings and deal with things like depression and addiction on their own. When each man in the video stands up, the first thing he does is a strong-man pose, which to me is a metaphor for the image most men feel they have to project - strength, confidence, invulnerability - and then, slowly, they start to warm up to lowering their armor to dance, which is a metaphor for sharing their feelings with the other men. Once all of them are dancing, you start to see them become a little more confident and even a couple small smiles on their faces because they realize they're not alone, there is hope, and that things can get better. ~KyleEcoyote
great interpretation. before i read it i was like 'this video is so gay', then realized I too was thinking of myself as macho and totally missed the message of the video. it is super awkward to watch though
Why did this bring me to tears? The love? The intimacy? The brotherhood? What a great representation of what men can be and do for each other. I'm so glad my friend sent me a link to this video. BRAVO!
@@elderbrook-music Agreed. I speak often to groups about love and what it can do. I plan to show this to people as an example. I really appreciate your message!
@@GiorniVenibato don't do this, don't shit on the effort made here to enable men (straight or otherwise) to *actually acknowledge, experience and celebrate HUMAN emotions*. Watch the video again. Force yourself to see the beauty of empowering your fellow human beings.
Same. This carried me through alot of pain and anguish. Im grateful for this and everyone around me. Was 40 years old when i was finally taught to express emotions in other ways than selfloathing, projection and lashing out. Todays a good day!
First, and only music video that's ever made me tear up. Every part of this video strikes a chord for me. 0:00 - 0:08 : Reluctance is real. Took me 5 years to finally realize that I needed help, and that "manning up" wasn't going to solve anything. Taking that initial walk through the door is basically an admittance that you're vulnerable, and it takes a lot considering how you're at odds with your pride. 0:18 - 0:30 : No one wants to talk about it - especially those struggling with mental health. It's not exactly something easy to bring up to friends, or family. There's times you feel no one will care, there's times you think no one will relate, there's times you feel you'd be a burden to everyone, there's times you feel that people would look down on you. It's not like you can interject mid-conversation with friends "Oh yeah, I'm depressed, and I dread existence at any capacity." Being someone that has the reputation of trying to make everyone laugh all the time, it feels selfish to jeopardize the influence you have on your friends. 0:50 - 1:00 : "I'm a man, I'm strong"... Dancing is an expressive art. I think the flexing gesture coupled with the dancing says "I'm a man, I'm strong, and that should not hold me back from being expressive, or emotional." Toxic masculinity is garbage, and I think it's the source of a lot of the mental health issues amongst men today. It's instilled into our minds, and I feel like there's an obligation to fight it for the betterment of everyone else. 1:20 - 1:50: There's no feeling like meeting someone going through similar struggles - the first guy to say "you're not alone, man." 1:50 - 3:00: Reluctance again with joining in. Again, It takes a lot out of you to take that first step, but it's easier when you're not the only one. The foundation of any camaraderie is struggle. 3:00 - 3:20 : Fuck this "macho-alpha-masculinity-can't-be-emotional-around-other-dudes-bullshit" mentality man, I just need a damn shoulder to cry on. Gender, sexuality is irrelevant at this point - it's human to human, soul to soul, struggle to struggle. Being able to ditch that stigma feels liberating. 3:20 - 3:50 : Instant change in tone, body language, facial expressions, etc. Sometimes all it takes is reassurance, a spark of support, or a shared moment to help someone push through another day. 3:50 - 4:06 : Going back to our lives like nothing happened. Edit: So happy to see that this has created a positive effect on many people. Granted, I'm not a scholarly art interpreter or anything - just wanted to share my personal connection to the video, and it's amazing how many people relate!
Damn this got me going again: 3:20 - 3:50 : Instant change in tone, body language, facial expressions, etc. Sometimes all it takes is reassurance, a spark of support, or a shared moment to help someone push through another day. Same place in the video actually.
It’s poetic how reluctant they were to join the dance they wanted so badly to be a part of, and how it just took one for them to discover the courage they had all along. This was a powerful anthem heard loud and clear.
I love the casting of the video. They chose people of all ages, races and physical condition. How each one of them joins the dance it is a great metaphor as to how looking for help is ok, no matter who you are. What an excellent video
Love your view, totally agree, having lost some male friends, males friends family members etc, it's such a wonderful video,...it is indeed an excellent video...let's face it, music and dance is so freeing, let alone a way of communicating. 💙
Я женщина,и я "без вредных привычек"😂как у нас в России это называется,но всегда сочувствую людям страдающим от своих демонов...и так зашёл этот клип...круто❤❤❤❤❤
What I love most about this video is their facial expressions. The subtle changes in their demeanor as they start to realize that they're not the only ones that feel that way, that they're not alone in their suffering; and the level of confidence that reassurance builds is perfectly conveyed through that. And believe it or not, just watching that actually cleared the stress that I'm currently facing. Bravo to the director, the actors, the artists, and anyone else involved in the project - for putting in the time and effort into making a video that can transcend its message beyond our computer/phone screen.
@@josephsavage1540 Feed your head is a great video. But it's definitely got a different message. Feed your head is a fantasy where he imagines all the people who have hurt him have come together, and understand his music. They are very similar stylistically though.
Totally agree @Marcus Turner. The change in emotion and confidence relayed completely by his body language and facial expressions from the beginning of the video compared to the end is phenomenal. The look between he and the Hawaiian (?) guy at 2:00 is also very well played. Great song. Killer video.
I’ve been sober 26 years. I can’t watch this without tearing up. How hard it was to share my emotions at first, and how essential it’s become. Great video
I've watched this countless times and I just now realized all the moves are "steps". Baby steps, first steps, 12 steps, etc. It's only after they've begun these steps they are able to embrace, which, aside from the "strong man" pose at the beginning, is all their arms do. Strength isn't merely lifting/holding up, it's taking steps. Wow.
That's a cool insight i hadn't considered. What i noticed was that there was multiple gaps in the dance, each incentivizing more ppl to join (is this part of traditional line-dancing?). I only just noticed it on this watch. Yeah the arms are important, i think arm movement is a symbol of aggression/vitality/energy (regardless of gender). Lack of arm movement seems to communicate trepidation or weakness/vulnerability (a normal part of being human - to be embraced not rejected), or at least it sure did to me in the vid. 👍 I read the beginning strong-arm pose as an addressing what is expected of them (with a nod to the possibility that those expectations may be inappropriate & unfair), with a _"Yeah, we absorbed these messages back when we were lil' kids tho"_ energy. (Honestly, i'm pretty unfamiliar with line-dancing, and just assumed from the vid that it was a traditional part of the start of the dance).
@@roidroid Ya I think the "strong man" pose is doing a lot here. It's pleading, it's admission, it's a mask, it's recognition and understanding, it's true strength. There's three people that really get focused on when they pose that stand out. The first guy shows this sort of mask and/or admission of "I'm trying to be strong, please think I'm strong." The first guy to join has more confidence, he seems to say "I see your mask, I've worn you mask, stepping forward is truly strong." Then there's the guy that stand and flexes with a smile. That's the opposite of the first pose we see, not pitiable but hopeful, not bashful but confident.
I don't really comment on videos and I've been keeping my anxiety and depression a secret for several years now, but this video and comments made me tear up a bit. I'm a 30 year old male who still struggles with stress, anxiety, and depression and there are times where I feel like I'm worthless and no one cares about me, but I just somehow find a way to keep fighting and stay alive. Music like this has helped me tremendously as well as surrounding myself with family and those with those who really care about me. I just want to thank the makers of this video for putting a smile on my face and giving me hope.
I can’t tell you how hard this song hit me. When he asks Michael to share with group, he begins. His words are visualized by dance. The rest of the group know the dance moves because they lived the same suffering that Michael has. They dance close together because their life depends on it. I was brought to tears while watching this because it really shows that group therapy works. We’ve been there and so much I is understood between each other that is unspoken. The choreography is absolutely perfect. Top 5 music videos of all time for me.
I totally agree, the first time I watched the video I cried as soon as Michael stood and began to dance, I had to watch it again as soon as it stopped, I then watched it every day for about a month, because I wanted to connect more fully with it, I don't know why? I think the fact that as a gay man I saw how straight men have to bottle up there vulnerability and label it weakness is so unfair, the part where they dance together was so powerful, for me it meant that every man needs human contact and a shoulder to lean/rest on and that doing so isn't weak, it's about humanity. After watching this video I wanted to reach out to every man in my family to say "I know you have pain and I want to offer my shoulder".
@@stanley325 Thats truly beautiful. Loved the song but never saw the video until today. That along with your comment made me feel someting I hadn't in a long while -hope. Thank you.
That moment at 2.05 when he realises more of them have joined him dancing and he smiles slightly? That hits deep, such an amazingly beautiful video. So expressive 🩵
That slight smile at 2:05 always gets me. The feeling of not being alone has such a strong impact on someones life yet can be so subtle at the same time.
As a man who has been trying to deal with childhood trauma. After using drugs and lying to deal with it, burning so many bridges, sabotaging relationships, I finally found the strength to reach out and get help.. thank you for this amazing song and video..
So glad you got help... stay strong!!! My oldest passed away almost 4 years ago to a drug overdose and he did all of the things you did... except find the strength to find help. Wishing you many happy years of freedom!
My brother passed away 3-weeks ago, caused by his addiction to alcohol. I had introduced him to Elderbrook and Rudimental as a way to remain positive and to never give up. John was 55-years old and had everything to live for. I will miss him forever.
My teenage years were a dark place for me because I was "being a man" and hid all the emotions from my Dad's death. It took me 11 years of pain until I realised to let go of my emotions and deal with them. Men have emotions too and we should stand together and be vulnerable. Thank you so much for the video and the wonderful message it portrays. Beautiful music too. Big love
Elderbrook Music Thanks for responding they play your song here in Seattle and never saw the video it just hit me and I called in to request it daily to show some love. Thanks for your work m808 💜
I lost my uncle a month ago and you can say he raised me and gave me meaning in life. I cant let go of the stress and reality that he's gone, and it hurts. So same here brother..
My breath literally caught when they started to Waltz with their heads on each others shoulders. Beautiful. We need to normalize affection between men just the same as we normalize affection between women.
Never say never Anything is possible possibilities are endless The Love in this video shows... no matter your gender your age your race. Together we can progress. It's good to communicate Lol🎶💂
Of course it will happen. It’s important to acknowledge how threatening male-to-male intimacy and affection is for a lot of men, so there will be plenty of men (and possibly women) who will be against it, but it is basically because they are intensely scared of it.
As a father of boys - I revisit this video from time to time to remember the importance of men's mental health. Great work Elderbrook - I think you have helped a lot of people here.
The feels in this song for me... the pure hurt on his face, they are all there for heartache and pain. They all come together as one to forget there pain and find comfort in not being alone and exposed. Men need to do this for eachother ❤
Think its more people battling addiction hence them being at an AA meeting. And the lyrics (There's something bout you, keepin' me sober) these people are fighting addictions and when the video starts they're all depressed and don't want to share. Then when the guy gets up and put his arms up that's symbolises strength and courage. The others seen him doing the dance and were courageous enough to get up and join in. Such a powerful video and lyrics 🖤
@@Mikebornthisway I don't know. I'd say it's about opening up with each other, and letting people through our defenses. Look at the first guy, his moves are slow, small, and he is worried hat he will be judget. The very first move is a show of his muscles. He doesn't expect to be understood, but then someone else stands up, and he gets more comfortable. Then more, and more, and the guy gets happier and even smiles in the middle of the video. In the end, there is that sly embarrassment that men have after they open up to each other. I think the song and the video try to give out two different meanings.
ReallyUnexplainable I think if you put both those ideas together it also makes sense, they’re in a meeting and have to find the strength to be vulnerable and open as it is such a challenged thing for stereotypical men. Anyways I like both of your guys deductions on the video, either way it’s beautiful
I have struggled with Ptsd, anxiety, depression and panic attacks for nearly 40 years and this video has inspired me so much. The next time I have anxiety or a panic attack I will think to stop, salute and dance my way through it. This video is so incredibly touching and cast perfectly.
You are stronger than you know.... power on! You have inspired so many people without even knowing it. I hope you're feeling a bit better now xxx sending lots of love x
This is, without question, the MOST beautiful music video that has ever been made. When I first saw it during lockdown, I blubbed, a lot. Now I can watch it and just smile. Thank you Elderbrook, Rudimental, the producers of the vid, and the actors. Just superb.
You made me cry, it's a beautiful, emotional video. I come back to this video and watch it, I now weep with sheer love but it's striking for so many to hear to watch. I send it to people at times, but unfortunately they don't seem to grasp it's resonance and vitality
the video is not about diversity lol , It is the reference to a suicide group or alcoholics who are mostly men , looking for diversity everywhere doesn't do any good as Morgan Freeman himself says
When that 2nd guy stood up to support him in his dance.. had me crying. Men don't need much support to survive and it's heartening that there isn't even a single person to help us when we need someone the most. Stay strong brothers.
@@elderbrook-music Hey Alexander. Saw this and your Live Lounge set last night for the first time. Amazing genius talent. Shout out to the vid. Us men around the world need more of it to save us from ourselves. Brave comes about through challenge and to challenge is heroic.
I just by chanced found this video- I have watched it 5 times and cry every single time. I deal with depression and have lost friends to addiction- this video speaks to me on so many levels- I can't thank you enough for this.
The moment the other man stood up and joined in is so powerful. The confidence that followed in their movements the more people joined in shows us how important human connection is. We make each other stronger. Especially in these difficult times. We aren't alone, and we need one another. As easy as that is to forget. Reach out, Learn on each other, Don't let that voice in you head keep you from feeling alive
I love this video. One man in a group of men finds the courage to show his vulnerability. The rest eventually find their courage and do the same. It makes me emotional. Every. Single. Time.
I also wanted to say every man in that video did a brilliant job of emotion and dance. Kudos to the choreographer Jacob Holme and director Luke Davies and the entire cast and production.
I am currently writing a paper on the societal effect on Men's Mental Health. When being told we can use a song as a source this immediately came to mind. I'm so excited to share this with more people who may have never seen it or heard it. I love all the messages and interpretations in the comments! I don't know you but i love all of you for your bravery and choosing to be vulnerable on this platform. Continue to be strong and thank for also choosing today as another in your struggles. A big thank you to all the people involved to make this happen, the power of song and dance continues to change the world!
This is a great one to use when speaking about men's struggles with vulnerability, intimacy and and how masculinity and the cult of toxic masculinity keeps men isolated from each other and from the world...and makes them lonely and unhappy. Good luck!
I must have watched this video more than 50 times in the last 3 weeks; sometimes several times in a row. I still get misty eyed and cry every time I try to discuss it. I'm moved. It is the perfect combination of good acting and direction matched with an important story to tell set to music that never gets old. I LOVELOVELOVE the normalization of platonic intimacy and allowing men to be vulnerable. We need more of that. I could go on and on. This video is perfect.
You've described my current feeling after having found this video today and watching it unashamedly over 20 times now. I'd like to add, your comment is perfect too.
Such a refreshing change seeing these comments. Brought a lot of people together this track and especially the video has. My fav track of the year by far. It’s special. Keep holding on people, you/we have got this 💛💛
I'm sober 2 years this month. This works on so many levels. The simple set, catchy music, angst in the first guy's eyes (especially), then the reluctant "tough" image they are all exhibiting slowly accepting the "reality" (in this case doing the dance). It goes to a whole new powerful level when these straight guys break out into couples, just craving for the comfort of the other drunk/addict's support and love. So powerful.
I heard this song on the radio the other day. I could only vaguely remember “there’s something about you, Keeping me sober” but I can just relate to that so much. I have a boyfriend that’s kept me six months clean so far. I’m feeling really emotional right now so if you took the time to read this, thank you.
Not to be a negative nancy, but if things go wrong: Stay with your clean attitude. Beleive me, you don't want to blow it all on some puny feeling you have for a while. Stay strong, NO MATTER WHAT! (I ofc hope you will live happily ever after or how tf that saying goes
sirskorge it’s really hard to stay clean, I get withdrawals of the smell, the feeling and the taste in my mouth, but definitely. I know Dow tainted substance abuse is and don’t plan on abusing it at all. Thank you for taking the time to write that. It means a lot to know that you care (:
@@yessir5205 I had the perfect gf, my mind went boom, I ended the relationship because I thought she would take too much damage from being with me as the fucked up thing I was. Never let feelings get in the way of self preservation!
This is probably one of the greatest underrated music video hands down, in history. So much meaning for all men in this one video. I can listen to the song and watch this a trillion times and it still makes me laugh, cry, and be proud of being a man.
To me his dance represents everything that's not working in his life. Then the others share their problems and realize they are very similar. Big hugs to all who feel broken but fight to stay alive and positive 🤗
I needed this. The flexed arms and hands on waist. It’s saying it’s okay to be vulnerable and the people next to you may feel the same. But the hands and arms say you aren’t ANY less of a man for being vulnerable. Then the slow dance is like saying don’t be ashamed, embarrassed, or scared to embrace one another despite social norms.
I've made it my purpose on this earth to message as many depressed people to ask whether they've had their thyroid checked as a route cause. Doing so changed my life and new research is showing up to 60% of all depression cases can be caused by a hyper/hypo thyroid gland. Good luck, my friend :)

Me too. Because they're all obviously at some addiction group and are all a bit down and depressed then asked to share, he expresses through dance and then they all join in and the arms going up is like a sybol of strength. Such a beautiful song and a very well thought out video. I struggled to hold back the tears when I first watched this 🖤
Probably one of the most emotional music videos I've ever seen. The way he starts dancing, unsure and not in full swing. When he stops he's worried if he should've done it (open up) and how others would react. There's a reassurance when the second guy joins. At 1:50 another guy sees them and brings the courage to do the same, another sees him and do the same, and their movements getting more expressive and sharper. The amount of detail I keep finding each time I rewatch is amazing.
What I love most about this video is that these men seemingly have nothing in common. There are young men, old men, athletic men, tall men, "dorky" men, all colors, all sizes, basically a group that you wouldn't expect to see together. You don't expect them to have any similarities with one another, just by looking at them. Yet, they all know the dance. They have something in common that we can't see, something much more unifying than the superficial characteristics that are visible to us. It makes you realize that we're all much more interconnected than we appear, we're all going through the same things, even when it doesn't seem like it. The entire concept is so simple, yet so smart. Beautifully done!
This song came out 3 years ago. Exactly when I discovered Elderbrook. I instantly fell in love with your music. Each of my favorite song perfectly describes how I feel. The lyrics of this song in particular is so powerful to me.... I lost my job overseas because of the pandemic and fell into substance abuse. I blew through my savings and lost so much of weight. I didn’t notice how depressed I was. I recently got back to listening to your music and I’m clean and healthy again ❤ Thank You for your amazing music!
Music video of the year. Going through a dark phase and depression, the video itself is a therapy. Got some strength watching those moves, knowing that I'm not the only one here. Men, let's speak up. Save another life!
The song is awesome! But I also want to highlight how brilliant the acting, camera/editing and directing is. A masterstroke on all levels! A great example of when capable, empathetic people work together.
I lost my big brother to alcoholism a few months ago. This song/video makes me cry because I wish he had gone to get help and found a brotherhood. I encouraged him gently, the doctors and the hospital too, but his denial was too big. He was lovely before he became his addiction. He was so alone. Many men need to learn to hug, mentally and physically...So much loss...
The more you watch, the more you catch details and see deeply into things you didn't at first sight. Powerful! Congratulations for all who it's involved in it's production.
Too often we tell men to grieve alone. We're done with that. Shared grief is often better than dying in misery. What a beautiful song and video. Thank you.
I Connected to the pain that Michael had in his eyes and face this whole video. He wanted to express so much emotion and he finally was able to connect to his peers via the awesome dance routine that followed. Great song and video for anyone in recovery

"Same old walk and dance."
I listen to this before therapy and do the dance to help give me courage to tell her my story

Lol
CEEJLESS You seem narrow minded.
CEEJLESS you’re right. Being too “vulnerable”, mainly with women will do nothing but slap you in the friend zone.
@@BennettParsons1 aawh you must be atleast 12 years old, how cute.
The dance is simply a metaphor for everyone letting their emotions out after bottling them up for so long, and it's amazing, very touching
🙏❤️ so true .
for me its another metaphor, its like being ashamed, not enough before getting together and letting it all out starting to get comfortable and enjoyng the ride, a very Beatyful and expressive coeography
What?! No! No way?! For real? Wow!!

This video is the kind of video that deserves awards.
Absolutely
Love it!
Wow
Yep, it's beautiful.
💯 👌
it perfectly describes how men are conditioned to bottle up their feelings and deal with things like depression and addiction on their own. ~KyleEcoyote
read the producers mind like a fucking book imo worth the small read
Its literally just displaying fragile masculinity being toxic af and its fine to show emotions as a male. lmfao.
Really good analysis. Bravo.
This is a fucking great message
great interpretation. before i read it i was like 'this video is so gay', then realized I too was thinking of myself as macho and totally missed the message of the video. it is super awkward to watch though
Why did this bring me to tears? The love? The intimacy? The brotherhood? What a great representation of what men can be and do for each other. I'm so glad my friend sent me a link to this video. BRAVO!

You and me both!
1:20 - 1:50: There's no feeling like meeting someone going through similar struggles - the first guy to say "you're not alone, man."
1:50 - 3:00: Reluctance again with joining in.
This is intense and very powerful. Thank you for this.
I was prepared to write something similar but I'm glad you did that better! Awesome!
Problem is the help is lacking.

I love the casting of the video. They chose people of all ages, races and physical condition. How each one of them joins the dance it is a great metaphor as to how looking for help is ok, no matter who you are. What an excellent video

The part that struck me the most is the steps of the first guy. His foot work is so light and timid. Amazing expression of nervousness.
Think it's suppose to represent the fear of being vulnerable
His name is Michael socha he is one of my favourite actors
That actor straight kills it. His face before he stands up....I feel that shit in my soul!
Totally agree @Marcus Turner. The change in emotion and confidence relayed completely by his body language and facial expressions from the beginning of the video compared to the end is phenomenal. The look between he and the Hawaiian (?) guy at 2:00 is also very well played. Great song. Killer video.

Welldone brother
More power to you brother
15 years sober! I tear up too.
Good on you 👏 life is tough sometimes, hope you're still going strong.
I read the beginning strong-arm pose as an addressing what is expected of them (with a nod to the possibility that those expectations may be inappropriate & unfair), with a _"Yeah, we absorbed these messages back when we were lil' kids tho"_ energy.
(Honestly, i'm pretty unfamiliar with line-dancing, and just assumed from the vid that it was a traditional part of the start of the dance).
Wow great observation 👍

Bloody love this video. Moved emotionally and physically. Wish the world had a bit more of Elderbrook & Rudimental love in it...
😀😇💕💕💕
Strange you say that. Every time I watch this, I end up crying. Something special about this one.
Totally agree
👏👏👏 excellent explanation
Yes ❤

Of course it will happen. It’s important to acknowledge how threatening male-to-male intimacy and affection is for a lot of men, so there will be plenty of men (and possibly women) who will be against it, but it is basically because they are intensely scared of it.
We're all human first.
😊😇💕💕💕

It is the perfect combination of good acting and direction matched with an important story to tell set to music that never gets old.

Never let feelings get in the way of self preservation!
im glad to see that you weren't the 13th step, and that is not sarcasm.
Bless you and bless your boyfriend
This is absolutely fantastic in a way words cannot describe
Agreed 100 %
Agreed general Thrawn
..........................xxxxxxx
Yep.
This is probably one of the greatest underrated music video hands down, in history. So much meaning for all men in this one video. I can listen to the song and watch this a trillion times and it still makes me laugh, cry, and be proud of being a man.
Thank you, Michael, for stepping up sharing with the group.
I think I could watch this a million times, and it still gives me chills as if it was for the first time seeing it. Powerful
To me his dance represents everything that's not working in his life. Then the others share their problems and realize they are very similar. Big hugs to all who feel broken but fight to stay alive and positive 🤗
Thing is. Need to hold on to You. Needing someone else is the problem
I loved that about it too! The whole slow dance, that you can do it! Love this!

As someone who suffers from extreme depression, this is one of the most beautiful videos I've ever seen (and it totally fits the musical vibe!!
I've made it my purpose on this earth to message as many depressed people to ask whether they've had their thyroid checked as a route cause. Doing so changed my life and new research is showing up to 60% of all depression cases can be caused by a hyper/hypo thyroid gland. Good luck, my friend :)
Hey i got extreme depression and wanted to let you know you're not alone! All love!
This song got me through the worst time of my life. Forever in love.....2024❤
Good times will eventually come!!!
Same here

same! I am crying! lolol! Just wanted a pump song!
It's OK, me too
I've got emotional watching this and I don't know why. Love it so much!
This is musical art at its purest and finest form. The world needs more pearls like this.
Literally in tears, this touched my heart. The dance, the lyrics, the beat, the emotion, it's a bottle of musical beauty.
never in my life have i ever wanted to learn a dance routine until now
X360HotSwap go for it!! ❤️
It was AWESOME I agree I want to learn it too when my shoulder heals!
SAMEEEE I LOVE IT
Righy ?!
RIGHT?! plus it doesn't look that hard!
Just revisited this banger again and what a song. Beautiful message as well.
Literally in tears.. we need this now more than ever.
This song has got me through the darkest time of my life and all i can say is thank you
👍
👍
👍
You're not the only one
This song came out 3 years ago. Exactly when I discovered Elderbrook. I instantly fell in love with your music. Each of my favorite song perfectly describes how I feel. The lyrics of this song in particular is so powerful to me.... I lost my job overseas because of the pandemic and fell into substance abuse. I blew through my savings and lost so much of weight. I didn’t notice how depressed I was. I recently got back to listening to your music and I’m clean and healthy again ❤ Thank You for your amazing music!
being strong and fearless, yet soft and vulnerable = being human.
I have never cried in my life to a song.... this just really gets me
Yeah definitely something about it
Music video of the year.
Going through a dark phase and depression, the video itself is a therapy.
Got some strength watching those moves, knowing that I'm not the only one here. Men, let's speak up.
Save another life!
ABSOLUTELY
Stay strong. Every little happiness or joy is one light to stay strong. Ur not alone 💕💪🏼
The song is awesome!
But I also want to highlight how brilliant the acting, camera/editing and directing is. A masterstroke on all levels!
A great example of when capable, empathetic people work together.
This video just hits me. If this doesn't highlight the importance of belonging and having a sense of community, I don't know what does.
Thank you.
I've watched this video 50 times and I've cried 50 times.
OneManMedia22 same here :)
The little smile at 2.05 is so good such a small detail
I cried, on steroids!
❤️💙❤️
Sending you lots of love m8. Keep at it, there's lots there to think and talk through.
The level of emotions shown in their faces with no words spoken is incredible! The Oscar goes to these guys.
I Connected to the pain that Michael had in his eyes and face this whole video. He wanted to express so much emotion and he finally was able to connect to his peers via the awesome dance routine that followed. Great song and video for anyone in recovery
This is powerful and beautiful! .
I always come back to this video once a month. For the song, for my feelings, for my son & the male members of my family, and.....to read the comments. Especially from men that are struggling. We are here for you. ♥♥♥

the song, the choreography, the precision of the dancers, the mix of body types and ages, the simple yet graceful moves, the pure masculinity of the performance! i must have watched this video fifty time already. oh! and big plus, michael socha!
Its perfect
Everytime...every single time...I watch this video, it brings tears of joy to my eyes.
There’s something about this video that gives me goosebumps every time. It’s crazy that a video of guys portraying strength then letting their guards down and learning to be vulnerable is enough to get me teary-eyed
