I know about this culture. We follow this tradition. In our family we do munji (That’s the name for thread ceremony. Sorry if my spelling is wrong).
We do Munji compulsorily to boys by age of 12 years. Nowadays, Some do it during there marriage time. Whatever case is, we will perform this. No matter what.
Tomorrow if I have a male child I will do it for him. My target is to get it done before the age of 12 itself.
I have some query:
1. Ramayan time period.
2. Rigveda written in 1564, first book written of Hindus. Sankrit written in devanagri developed in 1000 AD No one written vedas in old Brahmi.
3. Buddhism have jataka Katha of all like Dashrath, Ram, Arjun, Ravan etc. They totally different stories when you read you will understand and written before our Ramayan.
We all have characters as per our choice. Some likes ravan and some likes Ram. Ravan is always be a symbol of sin, if it was not then there was no reason for lord Rama to come to the earth. How much great be Ravan was, does not matter, he was full of lust and ego, which invited him destruction. Because lord Vishnu tolerate everything but ego. Jai shree ram.
