  • Welcome back for Chapter Three of my wildly dramatised portrayal of what it's like thru hiking Te Araroa; the 3,000km trail of Aotearoa, New Zealand. And yes, my sister and I sound very much alike.

Speaking of suspense… there was an episode on your PCT docuseries when you were in the Sierras and you said “I’m not ready to talk about it” and ever since then I’ve been wondering what I’m the world transpired. You left us hanging, Elina, and I haven’t forgotten!

I'm always blue when the video ends. You are a very talented story teller. You have this medium nailed - whether it's the choice of music to set the mood, playing with speed, colour grade, and cuts...I'm always drawn in to the story.

it beautiful that you can just walk away from your things and they still be there when you return. It reminds me of when i was in Okinawa. I left my wallet in a restaurant. i returned after 4 hours and it was in the the exact same place, same orientation, everything. It had never been touched. no one had even considered touching it. Kia ora Elina

You’re killing me! I was listening to your commentary yesterday and it was so interesting to hear how intentional and thoughtful you are with how you edit and create each episode. And here I just thought it flowed effortlessly from your genius artsy conscious

When you crossed the little border/region and the lotr re-enactment, put such a big smile on my face! the pure joy and friendship in that small little section of clips was so powerful and so beautifully portrayed. I think it encapsulated perfectly the connection between yourself and the people you meet on trial, or travelling in general. cant wait for the next !

Wow, another very good one!! My favourite line: 'some people are running away from something and some are walking towards something.'

Howdy Tip-tap! Your comment that 1 Day on the trail is like a week in the 'real world' resonated and reminded me of how it was. It had you wondering which world was real...this or that. Whichever you choose. I can see now the trail does change us, spoils us for the life that was and can never be the same.

Another beautiful video. Loving the birdsong and hearing Bruce's voice really took me back and reminded me how his journey kept me inspired in the dark days of lockdown here in England! Glad you took time with your family, a reminder for us all. Thanks for sharing
