Once again, really hope you all enjoy this one - it's a very 'Evan David-y' kinda list, for better or worse - oh, and the main reason why I'm not planning to do a Donovan Top Ten any time soon is because fellow RTTC Patron Dee already did such a cracking job of his own on that score, yes...? Hwyl for now...but only for now...!!!
Thanks for bringing this diverse list!!
This list is all too much!
Thank you Evan David!
Great music!
haha Thanks Rodney for checking it out!
Glad you enjoyed it Rodney....!!!
Trey, This sounds like a very cool video of a variety of artists and styles. Great write up Evan David, and well said Trey on bonding on YT using music to bring people together. Song 11 is a Rock and Roll classic, the Beatles rocking out like no ther band could. an iconic live performance. Song 10 is a catchy song, an upbeat tune, nice guitar work on the instrumental break.A good Pop song. Song 9 is a '60's classic. This version is close to the original Four Seasons version. The original features the great and unique voice of Frankie Valli. Gaudio and Crew , a great songwriting team wrote a lot of hits for the Four Seasons. Song 8 is an energetic rocking song Yes, it sounded like a fun song with a cool riff. Song 7 is a steady rhythm tempo song A piano driven song. It's cool to watch the live performance. Song 6 is a nice heart felt ballad. I agree on the guitar and organ blending well. Very nice lyrics. Song 5 is a cool rocking song with good backing vocals. It has catchy sound. Cool melody. Song 4 is a hard rocking song with very good lead guitar. The costumes and live performance is interesting to see. Good musicianship and high range vocals. Song 3 is a fast moving upbeat rocking tune. A wild roking sound with solid guitars. Song 2 is a hard ock song for a live performance. Kiss always wore wild costumes, big shoes and face paint. The know how to put on a glam show. Song 1 is a masterpiece. One of the all time great Rock songs. A classic blend of organ, guitar and horns. This songs shows the growing complexity of the Beatles musical abilities. It is Paul playing the raunchy guitar solo. George admit it that he was playing the organ. A psychedelic classic. Really good wild crd list of songs Evan David. Trey, you always make these videos enjoyable with your great comments and insight. Trey, your favorites are excellent choices. My favorites are It's All Too Much, Cleste, silence is Golden. I had a fun time watching and listening.
Thanks my friend for going on the journey!
As ever, a very insightful analysis, Poet, and I'm really glad you enjoyed it, yes...?
Here is the Glen. Thanks Poet! ruclips.net/video/KXChTn5XAIU/видео.html
@@ReactionsToTheClassics You're welcome my friend. Trey, I really enjoyed this musical journey listening to your wonderful comments and insight and the songs that were presented. Great job as always.
@@evandavid2816 Yes Evan David, I really enjoyed listening to your top 11 of a wild crd list of songs.. You chose a very nice vriety of music, and these songs are great, some iconic. I like the videos you send to RTTC. You have a really unique taste in music. Great job on your write up. You know a lot about the music and the artists.
Great list, didn't know most of them but enjoyed the music. Loved that you had Ace in there, actually got to see him live in Melbourne about 10 years ago!! NY Groove is one of my favs too. My brother is a huge KISS fan and I have learnt to love them through osmosis! Seen them live as well. Other favorites from Ace's solo stuff is 2000 man and Speeding Back to my Baby! His stuff with The Comets and after is also pretty good!
Thanks for checking it out Jemxs!
Glad you enjoyed it - love that 2000 Man cover too, and Ace's solo stuff is definitely under-rated, e.g., his covers of The Joker, Do Ya, and I Wanna Go Back, yes...?
To coin a phrase....Evan David may be a wild, rambly Welsh eccentric....but he's OUR wild, rambly Welsh eccentric!! As expected a fun and varied list, with the Beatles grounding us at either end. My biggest takeaway though is there was a beautiful segue from Chesney to Chesney's Dad in the Tremeloes, but it didn't get mentioned...surely that wasn't a coincidence???
Actually, I did mention that fact in my first draft, but I guess it got lost somewhere in the editing process...glad you brought it up, yes...?!
@@evandavid2816 what a relief, didn't think that was something you'd have missed!!
The world has been restored haha
Good one
Thanks Kev!
Glad to see Donovan get a shout out ❤ Since you're a fan of both Donovan and Mr. Tambourine Man, are you familiar with the Tangerine Eyes fiasco?
I will let Evan David answer this one! Thanks!
Doesn't ring any bells off the top of my head, I'm afraid - care to elaborate, please...?
@@evandavid2816 Donovan wrote his own lyrics to Mr. Tambourine Man, thinking it was a traditional tune. He played it on Ready, Steady, Go and he played it for Dylan during the filming of Don't Look Back. Dylan gave a scatching response, and the song was likely never played publicly again. There's audio on RUclips, and the lyrics were printed in a songbook, but the song has mostly been lost to time. It's worth checking out for a Donofan!
