Humanity is on its last leg, your sister is sick and you're stuck in a wasteland made of the salt of the deceased humans that once populated the area. you are abandoned. alone. Attacked by human souls that have relapsed and gone insane. The more i hear this theme the more i realize how much its specific elements fit this scenario perfectly. The main instrumental sounding very somber, reflecting the hopelessness of the situation everyone is in. The chants almost sounding like cries for help. Cries that will never reach their intended ears. The ramping up of the music towards the end signifying that despite how hopeless and dire nier and by extension Humanity's circumstances are, they will still fight to the end. Even if that means sacrifice. Even even it means giving up your body and becoming a gestalt to get the smallest amount of hope that yonah and the human race could possibly be saved.
Seeing a lot of mixed reception to the couple of new tracks they've released. I'm actually very pleased to hear them sound so distinct from the originals, rather than just being a higher-fidelity, orchestrated version of the old OST, like the Demon Souls Remake or, going a bit further back, FFXII Zodiac Age. It would be ideal if they actually offered the option to switch between them in-game, obviously, but even if they don't the originals will still be around for us to listen to. God knows I do all the time.
The nier and draken guard series are probably some of the most unique games I've ever played in the sense that they are unfun to actually play and the story is really convoluted but I am somehow ok with that because they feel like some weird surreal art project that makes you feel strange emotions.
i always cry when i hear this, knowing everything that happened in the game and before... this version feels so emotional for me, makes me remember the feeling i had the first time i played this.
Love. Crimson Blood. Poison. Eternity. Revenge. Two. Sacrifice. Mother. Ritual. Scarlet. Prayers. Heresy. Hell. Solitude. Clouded Skies. Madness. Goddess. The World Watchers. A Door. Us _The DRAGON plummets_ _From the tower of red thunder_ _and where it falls no one has seen_

I'd say it's well worth it. Graphical upgrades are incredible, gameplay is tighter. Brother Nier changes the flavor of the story and character dynamics significantly enough to be a different experience. That's not counting the new dungeon/boss, cutscenes, texts, and ending E, of which enhance the emotional impact of the story and clarify some ambiguities. Only thing worse is some of the new versions of the old musical tracks, but they're not bad, just not ~as~ good.
untill you notice how slowly you are turning to a villian in the game first mission, you will not feel the heaviness of the music transation, espcially how op you become by then end

You know what would be a cool game idea? A game set in this sort of setting, fighting the legion with the might of humanity in a losing battle.
More Nier is always good. More Nier please.
The CD Drama basically does this, takes place before Replicant and where Humans still lived but the Legion Outbreak happened
these soundtracks affect your inner core especially when youre playing the game "
Truely
Yeah man. Some of the music in this game as well as Automata are really good for sleeping and meditating.
Really vitalizes the spirit.
I got them all saved on my playlist named Suffering.
God knows I do all the time.
the ost is selling me this game
As if this Theme wasn't already a masterpiece, you had to elevate it even more Okabe-san.
Are you wining son?
Yes, but...the cost was worthy?
this is such an amazing edit, especially when you're fighting. it just sets a really good mood for it
I cried, I been wanting a remaster for a long time
When the music picks up as your fighting it just hypes you up!!!
The nier and draken guard series are probably some of the most unique games I've ever played in the sense that they are unfun to actually play and the story is really convoluted but I am somehow ok with that because they feel like some weird surreal art project that makes you feel strange emotions.
Haha! You're not wrong!
why can’t I stop listening to this
i always cry when i hear this, knowing everything that happened in the game and before...
this version feels so emotional for me, makes me remember the feeling i had the first time i played this.
3:18 made this the best song in the game
Thank you Keiichi Okabe for this Masterpice
I don't know why but I had crying yesterday when a played to remake... That song is just sad and beautiful now
Love. Crimson Blood. Poison. Eternity. Revenge. Two. Sacrifice. Mother. Ritual. Scarlet. Prayers. Heresy. Hell. Solitude. Clouded Skies. Madness. Goddess. The World Watchers. A Door. Us

What are those?
Such a good track, really gives the feeling of desperation and hope that plays out in the prologue.
the first time i heard the song in the game i was kinda like oh cool neato... and now when i listen to it i get chills man, goosebumps all over - definitely an unexpected favorite track
heck yes i blast the ost in the car on my way to and from work lmao
On the way to Shadowlord's Castle
I usually slept on the original, man does this version hit so much different during the Lost Shrine segment.
I love the attention to detail their showing to this remaster/reimagining. Keep it up square 🙏
Trials of Mana,Final Fantasy VII Remake and now Nier Replicant,Square Enix remake are amazing.
@@jorgemurilo7779 At this point I can only hope that they don't release another broken PC port :(

Welcome back, old friend.
The og was good, this is Mozart levels of good. Such a blend of harmonies and instruments it’s unbelievable how much better this is lol
Epic song for the last time ever you see humans in Nier
Hello game of the year for me😁
This game must be game of the year
If they don't play this at my funeral, then I'm not dying!
hahahahahahaha gooooodo joiek xDXEDXDDXDDD
More like the funeral of the humanity
So you have chosen... Servitude.
I will make it "snow"
The strings from 2:00 onwards are so heart wrenching... I just beat NieR on PS3, should I buy the remaster and play it again in all it's glory?
I'd say it's well worth it. Graphical upgrades are incredible, gameplay is tighter. Brother Nier changes the flavor of the story and character dynamics significantly enough to be a different experience. That's not counting the new dungeon/boss, cutscenes, texts, and ending E, of which enhance the emotional impact of the story and clarify some ambiguities. Only thing worse is some of the new versions of the old musical tracks, but they're not bad, just not ~as~ good.
This intro was so haunting. I loved it!
This all started because a flower threatened the very existence of another world.
damn this ost goes hard
大好き……
*”So this is the power of the black book”*
This remix is amazing. I have complete faith that the remastered ost will be just as good!
Don't mind me. Just here liking all the comments and learning about the NieR lore more and more. Love all the commenters here
finally, found the epic nier song
絶望の始まり、、、こう聞くとかっこいいな
Impressive stuff, respect to the devs and everyone involved, all these remastered tracks are beautiful, im so excited to play this remake soon!!!
I love this part 3:28
I cant wait to hear hills of the radiant wind
untill you notice how slowly you are turning to a villian in the game first mission, you will not feel the heaviness of the music transation, espcially how op you become by then end
A rusty pipe and a book is all you need to defend the one thing that gives your life meaning.
Excellent.
when a master returns to their previous work
This is like Snow in Summer in Amusement park. More of a storybook feel than the original. They're both great but I might actually prefer this if I just wanted to listen to something.
Certified lunar tear moment
best ost of 2021
And now I'm re-experiencing my existential crisis which Nier caused... I'm going to replay the game.
Amazing
great memories im excited for this game.
Why is this not in the remake soundtrack Square,Platinum and, Toylogic.
Soundgasmic!
Cant even be Salty anymore without someone trying to throw the book at you.
Ok this version doesn't do it justice when you actually in the game and the song transitions when the mini boss appears in the lost shrine one of my favs on Replicant ver1.2
The song progressively getting more intense as you climb the shrine is one of my favorite things in the game.
@@eternalpain7762 yeessss omg 😌😌
Anyone has the lost shrine version of the song? I don’t think it’s this one
@@arturjr.8580 It's just the normal in-game version. You should be able to find it with a simple search.
