I surfed Vancouver Island in the late 80s plus I went to it was all old growth forest when I was walking to the beach with my wife and my son I saw some pretty scary giant bear print on the way down to the beach I'll never forget it there wasn't a whole lot of people around the folks were pretty nice except for one kid he mellowed out though I'm not going to go into too many more details it was a long time ago and I appreciate the hospitality everyone showed me and my around there I got some pretty good Wave 2 the tides were very extreme anyways I Surf and commercial fished most of my life and I recommended that lifestyle to anyone it's the way

Great POV!! I have been meaning to get up that way. Live on the south side of the island and have been hitting the spots west of Victoria. There is some great surf up your way. Awesome videos!! Keep crushing it out there on those videos!!
Thanks so much for sharing the stoke! Likewise I've been meaning to make it down to your neck of the woods for a while now! Hopefully this season if the weather cooperates, I'm not the fondest of driving the mountain passes once the snow starts so usually I just hunker down here and try to make the most of it! 🥶☃️
@@tofinosurfphotography Don't blame you. Tofino has the best surf on the West Coast of Canada. Hard to go somewhere far in winter storm only to risk trading down many times of the year. The one thing about this year is that the swell here is cranking up early. Next week might be good and some of the local campground will have some spaces.
