    I find it strange that “The intelligent investor” or “Security Analysis” are not included in the recommended books. Buffett’s core investment strategy is based on Graham’s (and Dodd) after all.

    • @pedroamaral5139
      @pedroamaral5139 2 года назад +1

      The two are very hard to read and focus on a very different market. If you already read "The Intelligent Investor" you know that in most of the book, Graham analysis companies that don't exist anymore and talks about metrics that don't make more sense - like only buy companies sold above the patrimonial value. Reading this book without a solid basis on investment is very hard, also adds little to a pratic understanding of how to invest (despite the ideas about investment philosophy still being excellent). About "Security Analysis" I never read, but I always heard that it is a more complex version of Intelligent Investor

    Honest feedback PLEASE READ:
    You are making the same video rendering mistake as tons of other youtubers and it needs fixing: Never ever render a video with black bars encoded in the video itself. Your video has black bars at the top and bottom which actually makes it look normal when you view it on YOUR screen. HOWEVER for any viewer who's screen is wider than yours this will result in black bars on all four sides which is jarring and looks unprofessional. Way too many make this mistake when rendering video and fail to notice it because they only view the video on their own monitor.
    The fix is simple: if you want a wider aspect ratio don't add black bars but actually cut that part off and render in a wider aspect ratio with no black bars anywhere. This will then work properly on any screen.

Everyone trades/invests in the stock market to earn money so what's wrong in asking people about stock picks? Someone might have insider knowledge or might be really good at technical analysis or maybe they can see the future?

      You must understand why: If you are asking a professional trader/investor which stock you should buy, you are being DEPENDENT on his advices/beliefs. Of course if that professional is good and right about the stocks he tells you, you'll make money. But let's imagine that tomorrow that good professional vanishes, most probably you'll blow out your portfolio, that's why it is more important and valuable to ask that professional to teach you HOW to THINK and then ADAPT his lessons to YOUR style. Actually there is a real life example and it is called The Turtle Experiment.

      Hi! Perhaps I can clear that up a little bit. I believe he is trying to say that you only need to make a few great investments to make enormous gains; just like how a batter waits for the perfect pitch to make a home run. The part where he is talking about waiting for the perfect pitch (or throw) is the equivalent of waiting for the perfect moment to buy a stock. And when you see the pitch coming to you, you swing as hard as you can at it. Or in investing, invest as much money as you can. "When it starts pouring gold reach for a bucket, not a thimble."

    Every one here wants to be as rich as Buffet but no one wants to listen at Buffet. Its most likely you wont beat the market unless you at the same level as Buffet , which you are not. So why do keep investing in stocks? Buy a part of America like Buffet says and put your money in S&P500. Its all about time in market not timing the market!!!!!!!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan and this channel was helpful when I was just starting out in the investment world, but it feels like you’ve run out of anything worth making a video about.
